NYC High School

Margot
Tim had stopped in the alcove with the water fountain and, instead of taking a drink, leaned against the wall. "You're blocking anybody who wants to use that," Em scolded. Tim shrugged and was about to say something when he spied some of his football friends. "See you in science, loser." "Bye, T." And then he was gone. Em shook her head and headed for her locker. May as well head to her history class and get some reading in before the bell. 

Auberon
"Well what number then?" Auberon complained.

Kahlen 
"Your- your locker number," Kahlen said, successfully stifling her laughter. 

Auberon
Auberon rolled his eyes. "213," he replied.

Kahlen 
"I think it's- right there," Kahlen said, stopping.

Auberon
"Oh yes, how wonderful," he muttered. "What's your locker number?"

Kahlen 
Kahlen glanced at the sheet in her hand. "225, so just down the hall a bit."

Auberon
Auberon shrugged. "We probably won't have any classes together," he pondered.

Margot
She twisted the lock until it clicked, opening her locker and pulling her book out. You'll have to be empty for now, sorry. With book tucked under her arm, Em set off down the hall. There was her history classroom. She, Tim, and Georgia all had US History, but at different times. Em swung open the door and settled in a chair near the middle of the classroom, giving a small wave to the teacher before opening her book and reading.

 After getting his info, Mase ungracefully stepped around Jess, heading towards the door. "I hope you know that just because we know each other doesn't mean we're friends, you- Never mind," he called, not even bothering to look over his shoulder as he shut the door.

Margot
She glanced away from her book and up at the clock. She still had a few minutes. Em flipped the page and started the next chapter. She could have had one earbud in, listening to music, but alas, she had forgotten them. The room was quiet, though, and she tended to zone out a little bit when reading (her mind went into the book basically) so usually reading in loud places wasn't hard anyways.

Kahlen 
Kahlen compared their schedules. "I don't think- ah, math. We have math together." Let's hope a wide range of people aren't in that class.

Auberon
"I'm gonna get better grades than you," Aubeton teased. "Seriously, that's all?"

Kahlen 
"Undoubtedly. Yeah, that's it."

Auberon
"May we both rest peacefully in our sorrows," Auberon said dramatically, opening his locker.
