NYC High School

Margot
She turned to look back through the door. Georgia had found one of her other friends - a girl named Cecelia that Em didn't know very well. Em faintly heard Cecelia make a remark about being locker-buddies and was really glad Georgia had someone she knew next to her. Georgia had bad days sometimes and when those happened it helped not having to go to a locker where everybody around her was a stranger. Em twisted back around and looked pensively at the floor again. Yeah, I don't think Georgia and I will have lockers beside each other next year. Three years of trying and the school refuses to listen. As long as she has somebody it's okay, though. And I'll be heading over to hang out after school since Louis gets out thirty minutes later. It'll all work out. 

Auberon
Auberon studied Kahlen momentarily, the world around him fading into background noise as he did so. Once he determined she was somewhat alright (he was convinced at this point she could have never been completely alright), he nodded to himself and stared at the desk. "Are we almost done?"

Jess
After receiving her coffee, retrieving her shoes and board and rushing to the best of her abilities (which was not at all), Jess barely arrived to school with time to spare. She spotted a familiar face - well, familiar back of the head, really - by the secretary and headed in that direction, coming to a stop as she rest her arm ontop of what was unmistakably Mason's head, leaning onto him as she grinned. "Hey, squirt. Coffee?"

Kahlen 
"Oh, another one," Kahlen muttered. She handed Auberon his schedule and then left the office as fast as she could.

Margot
It looked like Mason was going to be able to get his information, so she wasn't needed here any more. Em stepped up beside him and looked up. "Hey, I'm going to go back out. I'm pretty much always open to talk if you see me around. Bye!" She walked out of the office and jogged a bit to catch up to Kahlen. "Hi! I'm just curious - how'd you learn French?"

Kahlen 
Kahlen didn't stop, but she slowed down. "My aunt lives there- just outside of Paris. She owns a restaurant-bakery of sorts-  La Café de la Fleur, but you probably haven't heard of it. My brother and I spent three years there, and she visited regularly as a kid, so I picked it up fast. She's staying here in the States this year while my-" Kahlen choked down her disgust- "mother is in South America." That monologue probably wasn't necessary. 

Margot
Em bit her tongue to stifle the small squeal of excitement that had almost erupted from her mouth. "I've been there! My family has roots in France, and we visit it every summer. Well, most of us. My brother's too young, so he goes to a summer camp." Em couldn't stop the grin from coming onto her face. "I can't believe your aunt owns the bakery. That's awesome! My favorite financiers are made there." 

Kahlen 
Kahlen was rather caught off-guard by this. This... stranger was a regular customer to her Aunt's bakery?! And her brother went to a summer camp? Hold it. I need to... thinking about it- I wonder... "... I'll have to pass it along, I suppose." Kahlen paused. "Just out of curiosity, where does he go?"

Margot
Shouldn't have said anything about that. "It's not very well-known. On the far end of Road Island, in a pretty secluded area. Near the beach, woods..." Em shrugged, dodging the exact name of the place. 

Auberon
Auberon took the paper from Kahlen and nodded gratefully to the woman, walking a small distance from Kahlen, figuring the two girls wanted space.

Kahlen 
Kahlen's expression turned from one of innocent curiosity to absolute shock. "... hold it. Are we thinking of the-" she threw her hands up in an "I've given up" gesture. "Seriously. You have to be kidding me. They don't know when to quit, do they? First the whole fiasco with my dad, and then Mason, and now some poor little kid has been sucked into the chaos too."

Margot
"What are you talking about? Who?" Em wasn't sure what Kahlen was talking about. Despite living in New York City, Em hadn't met anybody yet who knew about the camp. She doubted Kahlen did. When Louis was younger, he never understood why she couldn't go with him. It was hard to explain to such a little kid that even though she could see the monsters, she was mortal and couldn't cross the boundary.

Auberon
"Don't forget about me," Aubeton said, slightly loudly. He didnt know what Kahlen was talking about, but he heard her say 'Mason', and that was enough to set him off.

Kahlen 
Kahlen glanced around, both with her gift and her eyes, for potential threats as much as people. They're all preoccupied. "I know about Camp Halfblood," she muttered to the girl in French. "Auberon and Mason do, too."

Margot
She blinked, glancing at Auberon ahead of them. She thought a moment. This was... new. "I'm mortal," she murmured, not sure what else to say.
