Outlaw
She handed Chance a sheet of cords from a binder she kept in her guitar case. “That shows all of em”

Chance
"Oh! Thanks." He took the piece of paper and studied it. This also had the lyrics written in. Handy. He could play along, then. He glanced around and snagged a music stand, carrying it back over to the others. He grabbed the stool, too, and sat down on it. Chance strummed a couple practice cords and then looked at Outlaw and Lynn. "Could you guys show me how the first couple measures so I can hear how it's supposed to sound?" 

Auberon
"Apparently you alreafy have a drummer," Auberon muttered, motionaing at Lynn.

Mason
 He noted Auberon's response, giving his newly-formed band a thumbs-up before scampering off the stage and over to Aub. "I also already have a guitarist - myself - but I just accepted both Outlaw and Chance. Some of us will have to adapt. That's just how it is. And, honestly, things are bound to change a bit once things get moving along. Great drummer? Yes. What I'm looking for? No, not quite. Nothing against her, though, as it's something that you can't just... become, for lack of better words. Just give it your best shot," he concluded, patting him on the shoulder somewhat-encouragingly.

Auberon
Auberon looked at the group begrudgingly. Somehow just looking at them caused resentment inside his gut- he'd probably blame that on the lack of pills and sleep he had gotten lately. He knew he wasn't at all a great drummer; a self taught kid who frsnkly hadn't even touched a drum set since he was fifteen or sixteen. He doubted he was any good at all.

Mason
 "Well?," he asked quietly, raising an eyebrow at Auberon. "Are you gonna do it or not? I don't have all day, and I can make do with the people I already have if I have to."

Auberon
Auberon looked at Mason, then at the drum set, showing no signs of his inner torment. He thought about it for a second, then shook his head miserably and turned around to leave.

Chelsea
She talked with a couple people the jerk had discarded. They were actually pretty good, and she was excited to work with them. One played piano, the other played bass guitar. 

Mason
 "Wait, no, wait-," Mason started, grabbing Aub's arm and pulling him to a stop. "What would you do if I said that I believed in you? Just, hypothetically."

Auberon
"I would probably punch you," Auberon admitted.

Outlaw 
She watched Auberon. And I’d bet 100 bucks he ain’t been takin his medicine. She thought silently. 

Mason
 "I get that a lot. But, regardless, I have a feeling that you're better than you think you are. And, hey, you might end up being exactly what I'm looking for in-," -In a Joey replacement, "-a drummer for the second-best band the world's ever seen. But I can't force you to take this shot. That's up for you to decide. If you want to to pass up another chance, that's fine by me," he replied, finishing the spiel with a nonchalant shrug that didn't give away just how badly he wanted Auberon to try out for his band.

Auberon tilted his head. "How many times do I have to walk away and you stop me before you realize I'm not... really... up for this?" Auberon grumbled with a sigh.

Chelsea
She and her group grabbed their stuff and headed back around the corner. She thought auditions were done, but it looked like there was one more guy left. He looked hesitant. The pianist flashed her a grin and then sprinted up to Mason and Auberon. "Hey, man," he said, grinning, "we're putting together a band, too. If you would prefer not to work with this loser-" "-and jerk," the bassist shouted over with a laugh. "- consider joining us." Chelsea waved and smiled. 

Chance
He studied the music, mentally going over the chords in his head. He preferred not to ease drop so he focused on not listening into Mason and the other kid's conversation. He looked up as three people approached then focused on the music again.

Mason
 "As many as it takes. Some call me persistent and driven, others call me arrogant and airheaded. Take your pick."
 He looked up when the pianist from earlier jogged up to Auberon. "'Loser and jerk', huh? It's got a nice ring to it. Thank you," he responded with a grin, not allowing Auberon enough time to respond before he did.
