Yes, Spirit and I got along very well. That's why everyone else had a hard time catching her, tacking her up, riding her, etc because they didn't know how to handle her the way I did. But I grew out of her and wasn't able to ride her, so she was sold.

Heck yes. 15ish year old me was having A Time, and the horse I leased over the winter would end up suffering through lots of hugs and tears. Miss ya Goosey.

I don't know if this counts, but I used to have a pony (the very first pony that I learned to do all the basics; groom, tack up, catch, lead, etc) that hadn't had his hooves trimmed in a while and they were starting to get too long. So instead of calling the farrier out, we did it ourselves but we failed XD He reared and threw big fits everytime we even touched his hoof that day. A few weeks later, we were finally able to get an ACTUAL farrier out and he trimmed his hooves too short and he was unsoud ever since---I sold him though about a year after that.

I did a clinic with Glenn Stewart once, a pretty big natural horsemanship dude. I also have done a fair amount of clinics with a guy called Tom Ryan, who also does natural horsemanship and has trained with a ton of big-time trainers, and honestly I like him better then Glenn, even if he's not as famous, Tom seems in it more for helping people and horses, while I got the impression Glenn was more about the money.

No, I haven't but one of my biggest fears is falling off a mountain and the fact that my horse would be with me if I ever went on a mountain trip would be even worse....
