No, the trainers/my trainer cannot compete in the classes I go in!

Have you ridden a reiner before?

Nope, just barrel and pole horses.  I rode a driving horse once too (he was broken to both ride and drive) and he would've made a nice pleasure horse.  That was pretty cool, but no reiners.

Has your horse ever tripped at any gait faster than the walk?

Never, definitely not me being the person doing it, but my sister had a horse that needed to be put down.

Yes I used to use it on one of my lesson horses when she got wild with the kids.

Have you ever tried gymkhana?

Ummm, it wasn't called a gymkhana, it was just the country fair.  I did barrel racing and pole bending and got first in both.

Have you ever had a horse run off with a lead rope still attached?  (Storytime: I was doing a photoshoot with my horses and I tied the lead rope around his neck while he was casually following me around the corral.  But I didn't close the gate because I trusted him at the time and he took off at the trot out of the corral.  :/  But if I had lunged at him to catch him, he would've lunged and it would've hurt us both, so I got some feed and he came right back to me).

uh yeah and she gave me the worst blisters ever on my whole hand because this particular lead rope was a very rough material (I was holding it and she got spooked and ran off or something I don't really remember this was years ago).. also another time I was trying to desensitize a young mini donkey to something and he also ran off but luckily his rope wasn't as rough and my hand was fine

Have you ever ridden a draft horse?

Nope.. Sadly. But when I'm older I want to own my own shire :)

Have you ever rode a overly energetic horse? (and if you want put the breed! My two were a paint and Arabian)

Yep, my main horse can be overly energetic.. but she's pretty good about turning it off when need be. She just loves to run or work cows. She's a Quarter horse.

Have you ever competed before, and if so what event(s)?

Yes, when I was four, I rode a pony in barrels and poles and got first in both.  But when I was only about a year old, I was put on the same pony in a leadline class and everyone got a little trophy for participation---nothing special for that one.

Have you ever seen a peer become scared of a horse?  (Haha, another storytime: my older cousin is one of my peers and she rides horses very well.  My uncle's horse, Yellow, was tied up and my cousin went to get on him while he was still tied up.  Yellow threw an entire fit, bucking and everything.  My cousin was thrown and hurt her arm in some way (I honestly don't know how) and she's been scared of him ever since, but won't admit it.  Which is why I'm working with him so I can ride him and she can ride Cricket, since she's easier to handle in spooky situations).
