Calling All Riders!!

Yes, I competed in a lead line show with my mom and older cousin when I was only a couple months old.  I won first place 😊  And then I competed again in a barrel race and pole bending show when I was 4 and won first place.  But I haven't shown since then and I'm hoping to start maybe doing some lead line shows, horsemanship, and some western speed eventing with a friend's horse.

Do you sometimes go out to walk around in the field with your horse just to bond?

Yes. I love just going out there to pet them. 

Have you ever experimented with different braid styles on your equine friends? 

No. I have braided my horses manes and tails but I wouldn't call it experimental.

Have you ever rehabilitated a horse after a significant injury?

I would say no, but I did have to cut into my QH/Paint gelding's tail because he got a piece of barbed wire wrapped around the bone.  It didn't bleed but he was having a hard time staying calm, it hurt so much.

Have you ever ridden in a bareback pad?

Yes! It was fun but it was weird cause I usually just go bareback or with the saddle. 

Have you ever took a nap with your horse, like on them, or laying on the ground with them?

No, I don't have a very strong bond with every one of my horses 'cause I'm the only one that rides them so they think I'm evil XD

Have you ever come out to catch a horse and as soon as they see the halter, they bolt?

Yes, my filly does it all the time XD

Have you ever trekked through knee-deep mud to catch a horse?

No, I don't even ride if the mud is that bad.

Have you ever braided you horse's tail?

Yes! 

Have you ever made a jump out of sticks for you to jump over on your horse?

I haven't done that before, but I've been thinking or converting my project pony's discipline to English into walk/trot jumping and poles.

Have you ever worked an OTTB?

Yes, several. My first horse was an OTTB (bad idea in hindsight). Then a couple more over the years that I just didn't click with. My mom and younger sister both almost exclusively ride TBs, OTTB or not. I'm a QH gal.

Have you ever ridden a horse that just felt like softened butter, an absolute dream to ride, no matter what speed you were going?

Yes! My aunt's dad had a Paso Fino, it was so cool!

Have you ever been brushing your horses tail when they farted?

Oh, my pony does that all the time (mainly when I walk behind them) XD

Have you ever had your horse(s) taken to the Amish to be shod?

No, there's none where I live

Have your horses ever eaten plastic? 

No but they do eat wood......

Do you own a horse?
