The Headless Horseman
The teacher looked at Reagan. "Oh no problem. Please fill out this form then go down the hall to room forty-two," he said kindly, handing the boy a form.

Quincy
He handed his form in and stepped away from the wall. Another boy came in and Quinn glanced at him with slight disinterest before walking into the next room. He again found a dark corner and reclined against the wall, arms folded across his chest.

Shane
Shane threw his backpack across the room to a corner, mumbling a random, "Stay" to it. He glanced around the room again, silently thanking whoever that there weren't multiple people.

Marina 
"Question- do any of you like brownies?" Mari asked, whisking her curls out of her face.

Shane
"I have a slight allergy to chocolate, but yes, I do like brownies," Shane replied. 

Quincy
He shrugged. "I haven't had a brownie in ten years." 

Outlaw 
She didn’t answer the question from her shadowy corner. In truth she hated brownies. 

Mari 
"Have you heard of carob? It's a kind of chocolate replacement." Mari looked at Quinn for a moment, shrugging. Maybe I'll make some... 

Shane
Shane shook his head, about to say more, but deciding against it. 
The teacher came in again and looked around. "I want all of you to stay in here for a couple minutes and get to know each other."

Outlaw 
Oh crikey. She thought with dismay. It had said nothing bout this when she first learned about it. 

Quincy
His visage expressionless, he listened to the teacher. Well, this is just terrific. Quinn had not come here to make friends. He was simply here because he didn't have much of a choice, and also to see if he could benefit from it at all.

Mari glanced around. "I'll go first. I'm Mari, I'm from Scot- Kansas, and I have six brothers and three sisters, and I'm a triplet."

Shane pinched the bridge of his nose and looked down. "Oh no there's more of you..." he mumbled quietly.
Rodger closed the door and left.
