Outlaw
She pulled her hat down low over her face as she continued trudging down the side of the gravel road with her long strides, her boots making hardly any sound on the grass. She sighed, trying to block out the voices whispering to her on the end, whispering of stories, reminding her of the past, telling her what was yet to come for her. "I changed my mind, I don't like you after all" she growled bitterly to the wind.

Shane
Shane let his mind wander, thinking about a few of his best times in life, most of which consisted of his little dragon pet (long story).

She clamped her hands over her ears as she continued. "Take that!" She hissed at the now silent voices, the fire that had been dulled through years of torment smoldering in her eyes once again.

Mari
"Quite a few things, actually," Mari said as she bounced past them. "We'll find out as we go."

She unclamped her hands from her ears as she reached town. She went to the usual stores, got what she needed, then trudged silently off back towards her mansion. She walked silently, focusing solely on keeping going. Once she was through the gates she dropped her stuff and closed them, then picked it all back up and walked to the house. The door swung open for her, opened by a large liger who gave her a growl of welcome and happily took the offered bone. She cleaned up the other stuff without saying or thinking. She was numb.

Reagan
Rea hummed absently in response, narrowing his eyes as he checked his phone. One of the relatives he was staying with (he didn't know what she was to him; were they even related?) had texted him to make sure he'd made it to school safely. 'Yep,' he sent back, turning his phone off and shoving it back in his pocket when he was done.

Mari
Mari stopped as they reached the elevator and stairway. "Stairs or elevator?" She asked, considering each.

She wandered into the living room, looking around at the pictures on the wall with misery. She proceeded to go around the room and pull all six picture frames off the wall, and brought them to the coffee table, where she studied them for a moment. Two where more of her and Auberon, two her and Pistol, one her and James, and the last her and Rayden. She pulled all the pictures from the frames, and ripped her half of the picture of each, then returned the other half back to the frames. She went and hung them up again, and studied them. Better. She tossed the ripped halves of her part of the pictures into the garbage can with finality. She'd do the same to the picture copies in her photo albums later. She looked again at the pictures, her gaze coming to a stop on Rayden's. She wondered for a moment where he was. Wherever it was, hopefully he'd moved on and forgotten her already. He deserved a better person. A much better one.. she tore her gaze away and walked silently towards the hallway. She had more pictures to do the same to.

Quincy
"Stairs. Elevators are never a good choice. Too slow, too confined, and only one way out." Quinn paused by the metal stairway door, peeking through the little window before pushing it open. He held it for the other two, looking at the paper in his hand and quickly skimming the information again. The security cameras were still bothering him. It felt too easy. A building like this wouldn't have such a lapse in security and not be doing something about it. He let the door close behind him now that they were all in the stairwell, warily glancing through the glass before starting up the stairs.

Mari followed close behind. "Well, one exit unless you're creative."

After doing the same the pictures in the dining room, kitchen, hallways, and the instrument room as well as all the halls on the main floor of the mansion, she went and fetched a bottle of whiskey from the fridge, which she then took into the living room. She sat down against her will, for the room with it's pictures plagued her even further, the voices that taunted her now seeming to come from the pictures on the wall to whom the voices belonged too. She sat nursing the bottle, in a mood that would have most people bawling on the floor, except her, for she hadn't cried in so many years she wasn't sure she could even if she wanted. Instead she suddenly, impulsively, hurled the now empty bottle against the nearby wall. She snapped her eyes shut instinctively just before the shards of glass rebounded to slice into her face and upper shoulders. After a minute she slowly opened her eyes, then with a sigh got up and went to fetch a broom pan for the pieces of glass laying on the floor.

"Do you plan on drilling through the wall?," he asked Mari sarcastically but not unkindly, glancing up at her with an eyebrow raised in question. He looked back once as he began ascending the stairs behind the others, and, confirming yet again that there was no one following them, picked up his pace a little.

Mari grinned at Reagan's reply, though he couldn't see. "That's one way of doing it."

"Though we might want to think about other, quieter options," he added, as if the drill was even an option in the first place. "That would alert even more pursuers of our location. They could corner us in from the other side of the wall we'd be drilling through."
