Heritage University- Elemental Roleplay!

Kenna reached the amphitheater and plunked down in a seat. This had been boring last year, no doubt it would be again. She caught sight of Iris and felt kind of guilty, she probably should have made sure she knew where it was. She sighed. People were still something she wasn't good at. She settled back and waited.

Elfur

I was already near the amphitheatre when the introduction assembly here was announced. I don't really know what to expect, this will be my first year here. I wanted to change schools, I just got a feeling that this will benefit me far more than a "regular" school.
More and more students are rolling in, I follow them with my eyes and cross my arms.

She slipped into the amphitheater and took a seat in the corner in the way back, where she blended in with the shadows. 

Evan
Evan winced at the crackle at the end of the announcement, lighring up when her phone buzzed in her pocket. "I'll see you later!" She squeaked over her shoulder, hurrying out of the dorm and back down the stairs, launching herself at a tall ginger male scanning the crowd. "Hey, Stranger!" She laughed, and her brother-in-law Scott grinned back. "Took you long enough, Ev. Come on, I'll show you where the amphitheatre is." Evan's sister, Giulia, had graduated last year, meaning that she had missed both Evan's first year and Scott's last, but she had promised to be at the graduation of both.

Blaine
 She shrugged, waiting until Evan was gone before leaving the dorm and beginning the trek to the amphitheater. She remembered from her first year that the presentation was incredibly boring and incredibly pointless, but there was a small chance that it'd be so bad it was funny.

Presentation

"Hello, everyone. Before we start, the staff would like to officially welcome all our new students and let you know that information pamphlets are available at the front desks in the dorm building's main lobby. We hope you'll take a look- they will answer all of your questions. As for all of our other pupils, we are glad you're back for another year at Heritage University. I'm going to start off with the customary reviewing of the guidelines." The speaker paused. "First- students' schedules are completely up to them, although the university enthusiastically encourages that students make at least some progress with their elemental abilities, as that is what we are here for, is it not?” The speaker glanced at their notes. “We have an unusual announcement. As some of you know, there has been a threat to civilization. A magical dark force has been destroying anything and everything in its path, draining life from the world. Elemental magic is the only thing that can combat this force, and some elementalists have already been sent to their neighboring cities to protect them from the darkness. We have received a letter from the Head of Elemental Education telling us to prepare our students to go out as a precaution. Because of this, we will be enforcing lights out and curfew, for your safety, and highly recommend that you work on improving your abilities.”

Outlaw 
She boredly listened to the announcement. At least the last part was interesting. Although she didn’t like the curfew part. 

Kenna
Kenna sat in her chair, tapping her fingers and trying her hardest not to look bored. Suddenly she heard the last part of the introduction, and sat up straighter. Strange.

Presentation 
"This announcement is not intended to worry any of you. We will do our best to prevent this from happening, but please be aware. In the meantime, any sightings of a hawk around campus need to be reported to administration immediately."

Outlaw 
She remembered the hawk. But who the administration was, she had no clue. Or why they wanted to know bout the hawk. 

Raphael
He listened to the announcement. The last part was... worrying, and their attempts to have them not worry were sort of feeble. "...prepare our students to go out as a precaution." He hoped they didn't plan on sending him out, because he would frankly be useless.

Jackson
The hawk thing confused him. Why would they be worried about a hawk flying around the campus? It couldn't possibly pose a threat, could it?

Presentation 
"We'd like to close the assembly with one last notice- in the event of an attack in the nearby cities, all of our student body and administration will be deployed to defend them. Again- this is not intended to worry any of you, but we are required to let you know about the procedures as directed by the Head of Education. Any questions can be answered at the information desks or if necessary an appointment with an administrator, and we ask that any and all sightings of a hawk be reported immediately. With that, you are free to leave."

Soon as they said she was free to leave she got to her feet and slipped out of the door then went and stood outside, puzzling it over. Should she report the hawk? Or no?

Alexandria 
Alexandria studied the horizon. "If they've gotten my little tip, they'll be looking for you," she said to her bird. "That is, if they're not slow on the uptake. Nonetheless, you should probably go fly over, one more time. We can't have them losing hope, can we?" Karma was already off by the time Alex had finished her sentence. "I don't particularly want them to find me, but if they want to survive I guess we'll both have to give a little." She shrugged. "And if I change my mind, Karma can always have them for breakfast. Good compromise, I'd say."

Karma
Karma flew over to the University. He would stay just long enough for a few students to get a glimpse, then fly back home as fast as possible- there were treats waiting for him, after all.

“Hello again. Why’d you rush off last time?” She called to the hawk as he came flying above her.
