Please don't talk to Oswin like they're either lying or they're an idiot. They're not, and they just tried to approach you in probably the nicest way possible. They just want to keep this light hearted and fun for everyone. A couple reasons why we don't really want characters with the same name:
- It gets confusing for anyone trying to read through to catch up.
- It confuses people in our PM group when we're trying to talk about the characters.
- It doesn't really make sense to present a brand new character almost 400 pages in? That just me?
- Personal Preference? We just don't want two characters with the same name.

Demigods don't fully inhabit ALL the powers of their parents - Take Poseidon, who can manipulate and generate energy, which is a power that Percy does not have. This is only one example, and this is just to keep the roleplay fun for everyone so that one character isn't constantly stronger and better than the other characters.
And also, Selena actually did have children and lovers? She has fifty two (ish) children in total, and a handful of different partners.

Oswin is very intellegent when it comes to greek mythology, and she has every right to say what she said, as she is also the creator of this rp, and has the right to say yes and no to certain things. (;

I third TG and second Rainy on this. Not trying to be mean or anything, but yah, as Oswin did create this I think she has the right to ask certain things and all that. :)

My haunted teddy bear has come to raid the party

Character Name: Phillip

Gender: male

Godly Parent: ....

Description: Brown, fuzzy teddy bear, with black beady eyes that literally stare into your soul. His fuzzy fur is matted and tangled, mostly cause hes like a hundred years old. Has a mitch-matching coloured patch on the side of his head, and one of his ears have been torn off, with fluff sticking out of it.

Personality: ....haunted....

Other: Also knows as "Phillip the Teddy Bear" his first owner, Jesse (daughter of Hecate) once promised the bear she would return for him as she left for a quest. Jesse never returned, and Phillip has haunted Camp Half-Blood ever since. He was finally "captured" at one point, but has returned to once again haunt

Can i just say... he's my most descriptive character...

I kinda want to put all these quests aside for now and just have an entire 300 pages dedicated to them all dealing with Phillip

katie comes back as a ghost and is like "wait omg i wanna haunt the camp" and it just turns into chaos

Character Name: Auberon Petrik Simmons
Nicknames: Baker Boy, Loco, Cowboy, Texas, Coma Dude, Auburn (Charity couldn't pronounce his name for a while, so she called him Auburn for a while), Aub
Gender: Male
Godly Parent: Hestia
Description: Auberon has shortish dark brownish-red hair, with deep bluish gray eyes. He stands at about 5'10" in height, and has somewhere between a slim and muscular build (sorta half and half). He has a light tan skin complexion, with a small and almost unnoticeable splash of freckles across his nose (of which are better seen in winter when his complexion isn't as dark). He's naturally a fast runner
Personality: Auberon is a very sensitive person at heart. He doesn't at all like it when someone is hurt mentally or physically, and often tends to try and help them however he can. Sometimes he can try to help a little too much, but normally can tell if he needs to stop pressing someone. He has anger issues due to his past gang life; he got caught up in gangs because many people at school said he was too sensitive, so he went and got caught up in a ton of no-no stuff to prove them wrong. Obviously, he never really proved he wasn't sensitive (he actually probably proved that he was caring and sensitive more than anything), and his consequence has been anger issues and fear of losing people he loves. He's also very defensive of people because of this, and can often sometimes be a little too defensive although he doesn't mean it in a bad way. Almost everything he does is done out of love and kindness, unless something sets him off to be angry. As for his angry side, when he's angry he commonly becomes blind to what or who is around him, which often leads him to accidentally hurt somebody.
Other: He grew up with his Aunt and Uncle of whom adopted a little girl named Charity. Charity was four years younger than Auberon, and was overall Auberon's best friend at times. He and his uncle never got along much; the only thing they ever really agreed on was how to take care of livestock. Although that is more of Auberon's fault than his Uncle's. He has a deadly allergy to cocoa beans/chocolate/anything else with cocoa beans. He's a born and raised Texan, but is slightly embarrassed by his accent, and won't always show it. He will every now and then however. He plays guitar and sings, although he doesn't sing all the time unless he's comforting someone, or is around someone he's comfortable with, as he can't sing without a Texan accent. He also doesn't believe his eyes are captivating, although Kahlen says otherwise, and when she does he gets a little embarrassed. He also gets embarrassed if someone says something about his freckles. He adores Kahlen, and as he has already stated, nothing can come between that. He has had suicidal issues before, and still deals with it slightly, although it's not as bad as it used to be, and can often get fixed with a few simple words and some love. He's doesn't enjoy sleeping much; he stays up late to get things done, and wakes up early (naturally). 
Pet Peeves (cause he has wayyy too many): Plastic, wrapping paper, lines that aren't straight (although that's normally the least of his problems), people standing on chairs, shattered glass (anything thats 'hazardous' really), when people get injured, when people bully, and when people eat chocolate around him (unless it's Kahlen)
Insecurities: He often believes he can be dangerous or he's actually evil, which was a cause by a past experience. He also has a tendency to believe he's not strong enough to help the people he cares about, which often leads him to make quick and unthoughtful decisions (the hazing for example).
Abilities: Shapeshifter (Loco!! Loco: Loco is a black wolf with bright yellow eyes and a fluffy tail of which he l o v e s to chase), healing abilities (limited by the energy it takes from him), can show people his/other people's past....? However Hestia can do that lol

Godly Parent: Hermes
Description: Freddie is a thirteen-year-old light brown haired, happy go lucky child. Her hair is dominantly light brown, but is stripped with dark brown and dirty blonde highlights. Her eyes are a deep sea-blue color, of which are bordered with a dark blueish green. A light blue circles around her pupil, making her eyes very detailed and bright. Although, ever since her brain damage, her eyes have become a bit clouded over, causing her eyes to look more dull and light gray. She stands at about 5'3" in height. She has a slightly above slim body type. She has fair, pale skin that burns easily in the sun, which is surprising considering she grew up in California.
Personality: Freddie is a hyper, playful, joyful, and any other positive personality types you can think of. She's very much an extrovert and talks with just about anyone and about anything. She loves butter, and is known for drenching almost anything in butter. She also loves honey and caramel. She has a slight allergy to peanuts, but nothing deadly or really even harmful. 
She is a bit more mellowed out and down to earth ever since she had brain damage. She doesn't talk as much as she used to, and has a tendency to judge people falsely, mostly as a way to get out her confusion and depression against her physical disabilities. She does, however, still have her hyper and friendly side, so she almost always says sorry after she's just judged someone. She never thinks she's really worth anything anymore, and truthfully feels more of a burden to everyone. She has severe anxiety if someone is not with/around her, as she cannot make out what is going on which scares her.
Disabilities: Mostly blind; everything is blurry and basically just a mix of colors, although she can make out some shapes; weakness; she can barely lean up against her right arm, and while her left arm is a bit stronger, she can't lean up against that arm for long periods of time too. She also had to re-learn to walk, as after she woke up her legs were too weak to really function properly. Even after she did strengthen her legs back to walking ability, she sometimes crumbles under her weight, and can't carry or hold anything heavy. She can't walk or stand for long periods of time, and can barely write as her hands are shaky from weakness. She has frequent headaches, and has a hard time comprehending certain things people say at times. She has slurred speech sometimes, and it often can be too hard to understand, which then in that case she resorts to sign-language instead.

Description:
Mason is 5'7, lanky, and attractive... in a strangely intriguing sort of way. He has almost-shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair and dark, ever-sardonic gray-green eyes. His pale skin is riddled with scars that he has acquired throughout his prolonged life. He can be seen wearing a faded tie-dye t-shirt. Clocks either slow down or speed up around him, and he carries around an old pocketwatch purely for novelty purposes because it is so out of whack due to being around him for so long. He also carries around a bunch of old cassette tapes that have random recordings on them. He appears 15-17 years old because his body ages really slowly, but he's really 232. He has a Led Zeppelin tattoo on his right shoulder blade.
Personality:
Either he's your best friend or he tells you to your face that you're a loser while smiling. There's no in-between. That being said, Mason is a pretty friendly and approachable guy, but the moment that you ask about his past is the moment that your perception of the world will be skewed forever. Mason was born in 1786, though he's gotten himself stuck in the Lotus Hotel & Casino (and similar locations) more times than he cares to remember, so he's popped up in the 1810s, 1870s, 1890s, 1940s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and the present-day. His favorite time period was definitely the 1960s/1970s, which might explain his love of tie-dye.

he goes by Mason because John was really popular when he was born
