Calling All Riders!!

No I have not moved cattle. Sounds fun though.

Gymkhana is a term used to describe an equestrian event consisting of speed pattern racing and timed games for riders on horses. When I had gymkhana there was usually 4 to 5 different events in one day. It's kinda hard to explain.

Have you ridden in a parade? 

My gymkhana club once participated in the 4th of July event, but I sat on the truck and turled a flag while walking in front of those riding their horses.

I've never personally ridden in a parade or been in any parade for that matter, but my mom and my uncle have before on their horses.

Gymkhana is a bunch of western speed events that consist of things like barrel racing, pole bending, flag racing, trail class, etc if that makes a little more sense @Lacey.

Have you ever created a "special bond" with that one crazy horse?

I sorta have. My trainer had a back leopard appaloosa named Dash that I kinda fell for, she was kinda crazy but most of it was just trying to keep her from going as fast as she could cause she liked to do that.

Gymkhana is fun, and I do miss it. Overall in my second year I won reserve champion in my division. I got a jacket with a horseshoe saying reserve champion, HVGC which stands for Hemet Valley Gymkhana Club, and on the back it has the logo. I also got a custom made leather belt with my name on it (even though it's spelt wrong), the club's logo, and the year.

Have you ever tried to barrel race with a english saddle?

never have, I've never even sat in a english saddle

No, I haven't even sat in an English saddle either lol.

Have you ever put earbuds in and listened to music while riding?

Nope because whenever I ride (so far) I'm on a guided trail ride, competing, or having a riding lesson.

Have you ever made a pony look like a unicorn?

My trainer did that once to one of her ponies for a party for a little girl she knew. I think they were related idk.

No, I'm not a fan of unicorns at all.

Have you ever taught a beginner the basics of riding?

I've sorta taught some of my friends to ride if that counts, lol


Have you ever done a poker rally or other group type ride?

When my family used to go on poker rally rides, I was too young at the time.  But last year, I was able to go out on a regular trail with of bunch of our old family friends where I rode someone else's horse---a cute little red dun QH that was only about 14.3 hh lol.

Have you ever stood up on a horse?

Nope. That would be so cool to do though!

Have you ever seen someone trick ride?

No, but I've seen people vault and that was pretty cool.

Have you ever owned a blind horse?  (We actually just found out that my mare, Cricket, is going blind today so...)

No, but my friend does. 

Have you ever seen someone rack?

No I have not. 

Have you ever just went to a horse auction, and you see this one horse you wish you had instead of your horse? 

My friend said that she did the other day lol. I don't even have a horse.

Never at a live, in-person auction, but looking through online websites, yes lol.

Have you ever gaited or racked on any horse or mule?

No I have not. I've never rode a gaited horse.

Have you ever did anything english with western tack or vise versa?

I've practice with my western tack, such as posting and two-point. I havent jumped or anything though.
