Kahlen 
"Something about not getting my heart broken or whatever sappy fake warning your apparently salty ex-girlfriend - Ezhno's words, not mine - was trying to convince me of." Kahlen shrugged. "I'm not worried."

Auberon
"She's not my ex...?" Auberon muttered. "Wait, Ezhno- okay anyways..." he paused for a moment, thinking about what Kahlen had said first. He blinked in slight shock and stopped walking.

Kahlen 
"She also threatened to kill me, but that's the most empty death threat I've received in my life. And like I said, I don't care about anything that came out of her mouth," Kahlen said as she stopped, turning to face him. "You okay?"

Auberon
Auberon probably would have said something if his heart wasn't breaking. He nodded slowly, looking down at the ground.

Kahlen
Kahlen closed her eyes for a second. "Look. I don't care whether or not that's true - and I severely doubt anything that girl says is true - and I'm forever and always going to give you the benefit of the doubt - and I don't have any doubts as of this year, or the next, et cetera. I hope you don't have a problem with that  because I'm stubborn and stuck in my ways. Deal?"

Auberon
"I-I'm not worried about you, Kahlen," Auberon murmured. He couldn't really explain what he was feeling, but it scared him.

Kahlen 
"Sounds like a plan. What are you worried about?"

Auberon
"I'm not sure," he lied, furrowing his brow, uncertain.

Kahlen 
"Let me know when you figure it out," Kahlen replied. Denver's home.

Auberon
Auberon nodded wordlessly.

Mason
 Mason took a deep breath, forcing his thoughts to slow down. "Yeah," he replied simply, choosing not to elaborate. His eyes drifted up to the concession stand a short ways up the path, and he forced a small smile, looking down at Em. "It's glorious, isn't it? A true masterpiece. Such fine chefsmanship." A pause. "Is that a word?"

Margot
Em giggled, pushing away the negative emotions for now (undoubtedly they would return at the end of the day as she stared at her bedroom ceiling and contemplated the day's events - like every other day, really). "If not, it is now. What do you think you'll get?"

 He pondered the question for a moment. "Not sure. Maybe chips of some kind? Or a hot dog. What about you?"

Margot
"One of those big soft pretzels if they have them." It hadn't taken much to decide what she wanted. For some reason pretzels had popped into her mind and now she was mildly craving one. If this stand didn't have pretzels she'd probably take Louis to the pretzel place after her shoot. Em glanced up at the sky again and wondered if her parents had a meeting or not. If not, then they wouldn't be home too late, and maybe they could head over to Long Island once the sun set. Before too long it would become gray and cloudy and cold. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did mean less clear nights. Oh, right, pretzels. I got a little lost in thought there.
