Jimmy
Β "Yeah, but you're just sitting up here now. Don't you think you should climb back down?," he countered, shooting her a jokingly-smug, lopsided grin. It wasn't at all uncommon for campers to stop at the top of the wall and rest or simply gaze out across the camp, but Jimmy wasn't usually one to give up before he got the last word, even when he was joking around.

Kahlen
"You wish," Kahlen said, Rolling her eyes as she gently used her foot to shove him off the edge. At least, she thought it was done gently. "Don't bother coming back up," she called as she did so.Β

Jimmy
Β He'd begun to laugh - mouth ajar, preparing for sound - but the laughter never came. No, the only sound that escaped Jimmy as he felt himself get pushed forward, the rock disappearing from beneath him, was a terrified scream. Somehow, as he fell, he managed to hear a sickening snap through his screech - the sound of the rope on his safety vest giving way, ripped apart by the weight suddenly pulling down on it. He was vaguely aware of his heart pounding loudly in his chest for a slit second; a brief, odd sense of floating filled his being at that moment, everything in his mind coming to a screeching halt as his life flashed right before his eyes. Then all that was ripped away as the whipping wind and heat from the looming lava overtook his mind once more, dragging him into a state of near-unconsciousness. Despite that, though, he could feel the heat from the lava at the bottom of the wall getting closer; could feel his last hopes of survival quickly ripping themselves away from him just as the rope had done. Even if he managed to not drown in what was essentially liquid fire, or, better yet, to avoid the bubbling substance altogether, hitting the ground at such a high velocity would surely mean death. One final thought, the first coherent one he'd managed throughout his entire fall, flickered through Jimmy's mind before his descent ended:
Β I am going to die.

Ominous Evil FolksΒ
The crystal ball glowed with a crystal clear image of Camp Half-Blood from the air ("get it, crystal clear, 'cuz it's a crystal ball" *noah snickers in the distance*Β nobody tell him he's not funny). Two characters peered at it from the shadows of the room, their figures mere silhouettes in the dim lighting. Hecate's fingers gestured slightly, sending the picture dashing around above the camp, occasionally zooming in on a camper for a closer look. Usually she would shake her head and continue on. "Is this really worth the time?" Hecate glanced over at her accomplice's question. "Yes. His magic abilities developed more then I expected after the affects lifted. He'll be a valuable asset. I just need to figure out who we can get to help us out..."Β

Noah
He sat back from the books. Reading was taking way too much of his time. He'd never been a bookworm and doubted being stuck here with just books for company would turn him into one. Maybe it was time for a game break with his new monster friend. Noah sighed and stretched. May as well try one more time before heading out of the dusty library. Noah performed the spell, his best projection yet jumping into the air like a stranded screen of a TV. A perfect capture of Jimmy plummeting from the camp's lava wall. Time slowed down, and Noah froze. What was only a half a second felt like valuable minutes before he started moving. He snatched a book from the table, flipping through the pages until arriving at the one he wanted. He knew he didn't have enough magic power to do this yet, not for longer than a second if that. It would be his only chance to do it. But he couldn't let his brother die. The projection collapsed on itself, and Noah recast the spell. He needed the sense of urgency, but more than that he needed to see. Unable to not watch the disaster. But he was also skim reading, turning pages and muttering under his breath, standing stiffly in the middle of his library. Finally, he cast the book aside and glanced up at the video. It felt like hours, but hadn't been a minute. Regardless, Jimmy was about to die. Noah shouted the last word of the spell and the library flashed, disappeared, he could feel the wind and sun and grass under his feet. He managed to flutter his hand just right as Jimmy knocked him to the ground, the spell cushioning them both and hopefully stopping any major injuries. "Hey, Jim -" Noah started, but then he was back in the library. "You idiot," he finished, though the words weren't rough. He sighed and slumped into a chair. So much for the planned happy reunion.

Kahlen
Kahlen realized a second too late that she probably had shoved Jimmy a little too hard without knowing - a repeat of the lake incident with 18-foot higher stakes. She cursed and made her way down the wall as fast as she could, moving recklessly. Three-quarters of the way down, a sharp rock that she hadn't cared to notice gave her a nice gash down her calf. Kahlen hissed and glanced at the wound, which was starting to bleed and hurt like crazy, then to the ground. It was only a five foot drop and Kahlen didn't want to trust her leg, so she let go and let herself fall the rest of the way. That wasn't a good idea - her leg buckled and she let out a stream of French and ancient Greek curses as she stumbled to where Jimmy had fallen. He wasn't dead, she could tell, but a faint scent of familiar magic - and someone she hadn't sensed in a while - lingered around him. "Stupid, stupid, stupid," she practically yelled. "And Denver's not even on the- and of course i don't carry any supplies on me for this- oh, gods of Olympus, I'm stupid."

Jimmy
Β He lay unconscious on the ground, having been cushioned from landing at a breakneck speed by some unknown force, though the speed and impact of his fall had still managed to pull him into unconsciousness and knock the wind out of him. He wasn't dead, though, which would of been a relief had he been awake enough to realize it.

DenverΒ
Denver kept a close eye on Ollie as they drove to their destination, not missing how she tried not to wince when the bus went over bumps in the road. "Okay," he said finally. "What's our plan of action?"

Kahlen
Kahlen half-collapsed a foot or so away from Jimmy's unconscious form and glanced at her leg. Definitely not a scratch, but she had more pressing issues. Like figuring out why Jimmy hadn't died from the fall.Β

Outlaw
She shot the creature a glare, too which it ducked its heads sheepishly. "Lets keep goin, yes?" She questioned the boys without looking back at them.

Ethel
Β "Well, we've gotta find 'a place with a lake,'" she replied, narrowing her eyes at the ground in thought. "Know of any big or iconic lakes around here?"

James
Β James snapped himself out of his shock, shaking his head at himself in criticism (Dude, she's, like, eight feet tall, nothing should be surprising to you anymore). "Uh, yeah, let's go," he managed to agree, beginning to move away from the monster at a hurried walk. He wanted to run, but he figured running would anger it and undo Outlaw's... spell?

Denver
"Beaverdam, Flower, Sacandaga..." Denver began spouting a wikipedia-worthy list of lakes.

Kahlen
"
Kahlen glanced at Jimmy. I guess I should get help. I could iris message Denver - but what would I say? 'Hey, so I accidentally shoved someone off the lava wall and they're not dead but unconscious, bail me out please?' Yeah, right.

Β "Okay- Den- Okay, shut up!," she snapped, cutting him off. "That's too many - I can't think. Um... Okay, why don't we try Sacandaga? How far is it from here?"

Denver
Denver thought for a second. "Five hours, give or take?"

Outlaw
A sliver of an amused grin slid across her lips as she watched James. "It's not like you're gonna break some spell by moving quick, all I did was tell it to behave itself" she told him sweetly, shooting the creature a friendly look before trailing after the boy.

Ethel
Β Ethel responded with a quick nod. "Then it's settled." With that, she turned back to the window at her shoulder, gazing out as the green expanse rushed past them. "Reminds me of those old trips," she mused aloud in an uncharacteristically quiet and wistful voice, not really aware she'd done so.

James
Β "Great let's go," James replied all in one breath, reaching back and grabbing her hand. He took off at a sprint, hoping Auberon was somewhere close behind them. James knew firsthand the carnage monsters were capable of creating, and he didn't plan on seeing yet another victim of a monster attack so soon. When they were almost to the edge of the forest, he finally stopped dragging Outlaw and slowed down, turning around to face her once he'd come to a stop. "Sorry, it's just- Sorry. On my first day here," Has it really only been a few days since then?, "I kinda showed up in the middle of a chimera attack? And a couple of my sist- A couple of Katie's friends died. I... didn't want that to happen again. Sorry. Maybe shouldn't have dragged you," he finished, smiling sheepishly as he glanced up at her.

Kahlen
Kahlen glanced at Jimmy again. I should probably get help.
By some small miracle, she managed to iris message Violet. "Kahlen?" Violet said in surprise. "You okay? We've been worried-" Kahlen cut her off, giving her sister a smile she hoped was convincing to hide her discomfort. "I'm good. I've got a... situation, at the lava wall? Can you send someone from the infirmary up here with a first aid kit?" Violet nodded. "Sure thing." Violet was about to end the message, but she paused. "Are you sure you're okay?" she asked. "Yep! Just fine," Kahlen said, fake cheerily, quickly dismissing the message before Violet could ask any more questions.
A few minutes later, Ariel came jogging toward the lava wall. Kahlen waved her over and rummaged through the Denver-issued first aid backpack for some bandages. "What exactly happened?" Ariel asked. Kahlen didn't look up as she answered. "Fell off the lava wall. Miraculously not dead. And I don't really play doctor well, so here we are." She began to bandage up her leg, Ariel watching with a professional eye. "You sure you don't want ambrosia, or me to stitch it up or something?" Kahlen gave her a sidelong look that lasted half a second. "No!" She cleared her throat. "Um, no. I'll be fine - and I've got to wait a couple hours before I can have ambrosia again." That was a complete and total utter lie, but Kahlen was keen to dodge any attempts at medical attention at any cost. Ariel shrugged and began checking on Jimmy.
