"Death is all around us, but life is too. Interesting."

Freddie
"Can we stop talking about death, please?" Freddie shoved some popcorn into her mouth. 

Outlaw
She sat on the steps, staring at the birds flying through the sky. Her gaze shifted slowly to the woods then trailed around the camp. She sighed. Will they drag me back if I run, I wonder?

Jimmy
 "...Oh, yeah, that's a good idea. Um, well, for starters, dear newbie, you're a demigod. Surprise!"

Eira
"Why is that significant?"

Jimmy
 "Hm. Can't say that I know. It's not like we're the only people in the world who fight monsters on a daily basis or anything," he replied sarcastically, repositioning the mystery item under his arm.

Freddie
"'Why is that significant?' Oh, I don't know. The gods hate you and try to ruin your life, you almost die every day, your friends and family die or betray you or both, you're basically a pawn for the gods, the list goes on." 

Eira
"There's always a positive to the negative. It can't be completely bad."

Jimmy
 Jimmy glanced down at his sister. "...I never said it was. My life got a lot better when I came here. Too bad it's probably gonna end soon."

Freddie
"I'd rather laugh during and at the pain then pretend life is so great," Freddie grumbled. "Tell me, if there's always a positive - what could be the positive of me going into a coma and waking without use of my legs and basically blind? What is the positive of my brother betraying us, dying, and being sent to Tartarus? What is the positive of Lilly dying?" 

Eira
Eira paused to think about that. "Maybe... maybe it's not what happened. Maybe it's how we learn to deal with it and how we can be better because of it."

Freddie
Freddie bit back her irritated retort. "Yeah, okay. Whatever. Can we go watch that movie, Jim?"

 Personally, I find her statement to be reassuring and almost inspiring, but-, "Sure. Let's go. See ya later,... What's your name again?"

"Eira," she replied, but she was already distracted by a butterfly that landed on one of the cabins.

Freddie
She fidgeted with the cube. She wasn't normally so easily upset. What was that about? Freddie hoped that wasn't a sign of a personality change due to the coma. That would be horrible. Then again, I'm thinking about it, so maybe not?
