"I'm goooooing." Alex groaned dramatically, taking Jade's hand 
and getting up, testing to see just how much weight he could put on his leg, and hobbling down the hill slowly. He would probably need his leg checked, but he could do that later - right now he was more concerned with the whole "Hey you're not human!" thing.

James
 It took him a while to comprehend what Jeff had said, so instead he just gaped at the guy and started heading down the hill with the others. If this is a joke, it's a super cool one, gotta say. But... No, the lock thing was a coincidence. It probably wasn't closed properly. Well, the lock things. Coincidences don't happen more than once, James, he thought.

-I might edit with Ethel later but I don't have time right now so lets just say that she's following the group-

Kahlen
Kahlen fell in step with her brother. "What are you thinking about?" Kahlen sighed. "The whole thing. If being a demigod is so dangerous, I don't know if I want to be one," she whispered. Denver put his arm around her. "Well, it's not like you have much of a vhoice, he said. "Besides. You're dangerous as well, which I think complements each other nicely. Don't sell yourself short, sis." She huffed. "Fine. But don't blame me if you want out of it too." 

Jade
She laughed and followed close beside him in case he needed help or stumbled on the way down the hill. Jeff led the group toward the big ranch house, and an older gentleman wheeled onto the porch in a wheelchair. He smiled at them when they arrived. "Hello, my name is Chiron. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood!" Jade kind of just stared at him. She was a demigod?! That still hadn't settled in yet.

Alex
"Nice. Half-blood. Got it. Very... blunt." Alex muttered under his breath, sticking close to Jade. He would try and stay with Jade until he knew a few more people; he'd rather hang out with Jade anyways, she was cool.

Jade
She stifled a laugh, having just barely heard Alex, and tried to concentrate on the man's words. Chiron studied the group of teens a moment and suddenly began to rise from the chair. Jade cocked her head and then gasped. He was a centaur! Her thoughts started connecting dots. "You aren't the Chiron, are you?" she gasped. He smiled at her and nodded. Jade took an involuntary step back before remembering her "crippled" friend. She stared in awe up at the thousand-year-old Chiron.
"You all are demigods, half mortal and half god. Most of you seem a bit older than most, and should be claimed pretty quickly by your godly parent." 
Jade leaned over to Alex and whispered, "What does 'claimed' mean? Do they pick us up like baggage in the lost and found?" 
Chiron continued, not seeming to have heard Jade. "We have an orientation video for you all to watch. Jeff, why don't you take them to see the video."

 Ethel rubbed her eyes, trying once again to prove to herself that she wasn't dreaming. She shot the centaur a questioning look before finally opening her mouth to speak.
 "Why haven't they claimed us yet?" she asked, the question sounding more like an accusation than she'd originally intended. "Do they not want us or something? Or do they just not know that we even exist?"

James
 James winced at Ethel's words, which had snapped him out of his amazement. He'd often wondered the same thing about his real family... well, his mortal family, at least.
 He blinked a few times and shook his head slightly. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Pasting a smile on his face, he looked up at Chiron.
 "Camp Half-Blood, huh? Sounds cool. What kind of stuff do we get to do here?"

Chiron
He looked down at the girl. "Neither. If you knew you were a demigod before you reached the safety of this camp, you would have died. It seems the smell of a demigod to a monster becomes stronger when they are aware of their identity." He shifted his gaze to James and smiled. "Indeed, it is 'cool.' You will learn what we do in the video. Now, hurry along now." 

Alex
"Or they auction us all off to the highest bidder - though, I don't know who would want to buy me." Alex snickered to Jade, thankful for her help as they follow Jeff inside the big blue house, Alex wincing as he moves up the stairs, realizing thay yeah, he should probably have someone pop his knee back into place, but whatever. Who cares.

Jade
She giggled, doing her best to not but failing. She gave him a light jab with her elbow in the side. "Oh, come on, you're not that bad." She grinned at him, green flecks dancing in her eyes. She helped him up the stairs, noting his wince but not saying anything. He really needed to get that looked at. 

(SCREECH THE ORIENTATION VIDEO!!!)

Denver 
Denver watched Alex walk up the stairs. Maybe he'd ask him how his leg was doing later. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen raised an eyebrow. "Video?"

Alex
Alex laughed as they reached the top of the stairs, rolling his eyes at Jade. "Whatever you say, Jade." He held the front door open for her, grinning. "Ladies first."

She rolled her eyes right back at him, laughing. When he held open the door, she grinned in return and stepped through. She waited for him to come through [to be sure he didn't fall on his face or something similarly amusing but painful] before she turned and looked about her. Jeff was still walking, heading toward a door down a small hallway. She noted a folding table and a couple decks of cards, along with folding chairs, pushed into a corner. She shrugged and kept walking.

Alex
"So, seriously, what do you think we're gonna see on this video?" Alex asked Jade quietly, as they were led to a dark screening room with plastic chairs. "More monsters?"

(I'm gonna wait for raptor to reply bc the video is so important XD)

 James sat in one of the chairs and scoffed.
 "Plastic? Really? I was expecting something a little nicer than lawn furniture, like, I don't know, wooden furniture at least," he grumbled jokingly. He gazed around the room. It was relatively empty except for the chairs and the screen. The only movement was from his comrades clustering into the room, their eyes reflecting eerily in the darkness.
