“Im not going anywhere, Althea. I came all this way to find you. Don’t you see? Your son is wanting answers only you can answer. None of the other members in the herd can. Not even my Queen. “

Nova looked at Althea closely  “ I know of the ones you are hiding away from.  I can see it in your eyes . The fright they give you. But being afraid of them wont solve anything. If you only come with me, back to where your son lives now, you will never have to fear for your life or any one else's. The power of my Queens herd is strong enough to hold back anyone or anything. You need to trust me, Althea.”

Althea
     "That's where your wrong. I did something terrible and had to run away leaving my one month old son behind. No one was ever supposed to find me, and by coming here you may have gave me away. I have faced things in my life far greater than this as I do not fear them. They don't know I have a son, but now they will soon enough." Althea said still in a bit of a rude tone. "I see the mighty Callista still rules," she said unaware of her passing. "It's best you go. I'm not leaving here for the safety of my son."

Nova slowly stepped back, before turning around and galloped off before flying up into the sky, heading back to safety. And as she fly, she could hear Althea's thoughts running.  What is so weird is that she doesn't know that Callista is dead... When she finds out the truth... I dont know how Althea will react.

She continued to ponder these thoughts in her mind as she followed the sandy dunes of the land , Getting it stuck it her wings and her mane and tail. The journey back to where the herd was, was even harder than  traveling from it. But Nova knew the ways of the sky and changed the path of the path od the winds so it would take her half the time to get back home.
 
When she came back a few hours later though, She went right towards StarDust, who of course was eating with the rest of the herd, Elijah beside her and Asher on the other side.

" My Queen....." She said her head hanging low and a disappointed look on her face. And in her eyes.

Althea
     Althea was glad when the mare had left. Who did she think she was? "That mare knows nothing about why I'm here and for what I did." she said finding a bit more shelter by going a bit deeper into the cave. The mare hid before Callista had passed, and knew nothing of the subject. "My spells did work after all," she said with a sigh, "I'm sorry my son, but I cannot. It's for your own good." she sighed. Althea rested inside the cave, but she kept her guard on now that somebody now knew where she was hiding. Everything could be on the line right now.

Elijah
     Elijah looked up seeing Nova, though no one else was with her. When she landed, and approached Star, he saw the scratches on her body. The stallion let Nova explain everything before saying, but it was not her fault for coming back alone. Elijah held nothing against Nova.

“ You two are probably wondering why I came back  alone. I can explain. But it wont be of any help to the answers Elijah is seeking. “ Nova began, switching her legs uncomfortably. They showed scratches from the fierce storm she went through. Some more painful than others.

" Althea is indeed alive, Elijah... but she told me that if I didn't leave, the ones after her would kill her or worse, find us and end us. But I know that wont happen. I can foresee the future. "

" Now now, Nova, don't get ahead of yourself. The future can change with one  little change from any of us.Including Elijah's mother." StarDust replied back as she walked to  Elijah and nuzzled him " But with him beside me, I know he is safe. As for you, Nova, I suggest you get those scratches and cuts  taken care of. We don't know what kind of harmful  invisible things could go into them. "

Nova nodded and limped back to one of the medics.

Elijah
     "It's OK Nova. At least I know she's still out there, and I thank you for that." he said. When Nova walked away Elijah looked at Star, "If this is true, what do we do now? Maybe I should go and talk to her if she won't come. It could help us figure everything out." he said with a small sigh. After talking to Star for a bit, Elijah walked over to Nova. "How are you doing?" he asked pausing for a moment, "Is there anything else I should know? Like her name or anything?" he asked not wanting to bombard her with things. Though almost immediately after he asked Nova, his horn started to glow, but it was pure daylight. "What's going on with my horn now?" he said wondering why it was glowing bright. What they didn't know was that it was Althea trying to contact him.

Althea
     After resting for some time, Althea walked back to the entrance of the cave. Sand was pushed to the left by the aggressive wind, and it made it hard to see anything. Althea was tempted to go and find her son, but she stayed put. Instead Althea closed her eyes as her horn started to glow, "Come to me my son." she said quietly as she performed yet another spell on her son. Though this spell would only let his horn guide him to her. 

Nova nuzzled him “ She is trying to contact you Elijah. But it isn’t for the reasons you think.” Nova began “ Your mother Althea, is forcing you to come to her. I wouldn’t follow the path that I see for you if you go to her. Ignore the push and communication, Elijah. Force yourself to push it away. I wish I was more helpful to you at this time. But your best bet is to continue training for what may come.”
 
And with hat she left to get more help on her cuts.  I can’t give up even if it hurts. She thought. Ever now and then she would look over at Elijah and Star and prayed that neither of them would get hurt for what was coming..
 
Star nuzzled Elijah “ Im sorry about the news, Elijah. But maybe it was for your own safety that she doesn’t want to come. Im sure there is a perfect explanation. And I have yet to find out what is going on. Even if I myself have to go to the western Winds and search and talk to her. I will. But even if I went, it would be a great risk on my life as well as everyone in the herd. So I don’t know what to do. I could try communicating to her through you… but… it would just make the matter of keeping this herd safe, even more dangerous.” Then added " I wouldnt want to have a war start."

Elijah
     "I have a feeling Nova is keeping something from me." he said to Star looking at her. "When I went to go check on Nova, and ask if there was anything else I needed to know, my horn started to glow. She said it my mother trying to contact me, but Nova said to ignore it." he said confused. "You know how powerful my magic can be. Did your parents ever know a powerful unicorn like me?" he asked trying to piece things together. He nuzzled Star, "Your too important to this herd to go. I will if I have to. I can't let anything happen to you Star."

Althea
     Althea stopped performing her spell. "He wants to come, but something is holding him back...or someone. That Nova seemed as though she could tell of the future. She knows something I don't, but what is it?" she said trying to look at the sun. Althea had a feeling something was coming, and she'd prepare herself for whatever it is.

StarDust

“ Elijah… there is a  reason why she isn’t saying one specific thing to you.”  Star began “ Your mother and my mother were greatest of friends before your mother betrayed Callista after I became Queen. I Will find the true answers if and when your own mother comes down. But I need you and the rest of the herd to move far away. Im not risking any deaths. You are all I have left, besides my father Jace.” Then added “I won’t let you travel to the Western Winds. I can’t let you get hurt and possibly never come back. It is Althea who must leave her home and come find me and end this evil that has corrupted her head. Then and only then will this possible war end”

“A war is never what I wanted, but if it is the only way to deal with what happened in the past, then let it be so.”  She mouthed out loud mostly to herself

Elijah
     "You were young Star. You may not know the whole story. I'm not letting you go. Maybe my mother found something out, and had no choice. You can't just assume something like that! What about your son? Your herd. What are they going to do if don't make it!?" he said. "If you go I go. After everything you have done to help me, this is how you treat my mother? I knew I made a mistake trusting you. It was a lie all along. You never wanted to be mates!" he said in front of the herd as his anger started to get the best of him. Elijah realized it, and gave Star one last look before running away. He ran away back to his home, back to the cave, back to his sad and lonely life.

StarDust

She knew that if this was how things were going to be between herself and Elijah, then she had no right in forcing him to be her mate.  Maybe it wasn’t time she thought as she unfolded her wings and just flew off. Father… take care of the herd for me… Im going to search myself.

Jace

It isn’t worth it, child. He said  You are paired with Elijah even if you think it wont work out... it will... just give him some extra time to deal with his powers. Get him back to his training.

As the time wore on, things were still not good. Everything was falling apart. The relationship Star had with Elijah was not  fully broken, but on a pause.  And Star wasnt going to have a no for an answer from Elijah. So she searched for him while Jace watched over the group.

" Elijah? Look... I didnt know what happened back there... but you need to get back to training. You cant face your mother like this. You need to get control of yourself. I had nothing to do with what happened to my own mother. Im not even blaming you or Althea for her death. It just.... happened. "

Elijah
     The stallion walked out from the trees. "How am I supposed to trust you? Your willing to fight my mother without even knowing her side of the story! I may not know her, but you can't just go doing things like that. She wants me to come, and I'm going with or without you Star." he said beginning to turn around as his horn showed the way. Elijah didn't look back as he started walking away. "This is your last chance to prove to me none of this was a lie." he said. 

Althea
     Althea could feel Elijah, and his strong emotions. "He doesn't have control.....I was a terrible mother just leaving him like that with no one." she said starting to regret and blame herself for everything. The mare tried to remember her few memories with her son, but it was so long ago she could not. "I need to make everything right...for his sake," she said walking out of the cave. She was going to make everything right, but she didn't know that her son was already coming. Though they would cross paths.

StarDust

"I swear to the stars above, none of this was a lie. How do you think you and I even met? By chance? You would think wrong. It was my time to find the next mate. I let my previous one go and out of my mind. Now… you…” her voice cracked as she spoke “Please… don’t leave.  I never said was going to fight your mother, Elijah… I was just wanting the answers now I seek from her. Now that I know she is alive. But I cant do it when your after her and not me there to protect you. She could do the inevitable. Stay with me and my herd where it is safe. Please“

Jace stayed back with the herd in case Althes appeared. He played with Asher for as long as he needed to before  Asher fell asleep in Novas legs. Nova looked down at him and smiled  " may you be brave in times of trouble, little one" She nuzzled him before falling asleep herself.

 

Elijah
     He stopped, and turned around, "I've been searching for answers my whole life Star. I'm so close, and everyone is telling me to stay away. I'm her son. I don't think she'd hurt me. Yeah she abandoned me, but we don't know her story, and why she left me. If you were never going to fight her, then why would you go to war? War over what? War with who?" he said with a sigh. 
     "Look I'll come back for now, and continue my training. Though when I have full control over my magic, I'm going to get the answers I've been looking for my whole life." he said walking past Star back towards the herd. When the herd was in sight, Elijah paused. "It can't be. Can it?" he said looking to the side of the herd in the trees. Elijah ignored the fact that her father was there, but so was someone else. Althea.

Althea
     Althea had paused her search seeing a herd not too far off in the moonlight. She recognized the black stallion, "Jace," she said quietly. She also saw Nova, and was glad she made it back to her home safely. Althea didn't know what to do now that she was out of the Western Winds. She'd only seen sand and some rocks for the past 7 years, so things were weird for her. Though she didn't know what to do now that she was so close to seeing her son, and hopefully make things right.

Nova smiled “ It’s a pleasure to have you here, Althea” Then she saw StarDust and Elijah finally came back and she walked towards them “ Thank the stars your back… “ she said nuzzling both “ Someone is here to see you, Elijah” She then turned her head towards the mare that had arrived.
 
StarDust

“ Althea…” she began as she stepped closer. “I thought I would never have the chance to ever see you again. After what a few years? But it isn’t your son who just has questions, but I do as well. What trully happened between you and my mother. Why did you betray her? What caused it to even happen? I thought you two were like the best of friends all those years ago. And look at what happened. You … you killed her.” A tear fell from her eye. “Why?”
