The little fairy hovering above Amberlee's shoulder giggled, the sounding like chirping birds. "We will watch over our sparrow's prince, because he holds her heart," she said sweetly, although she said it in a way that told Andres if he ever hurt or betray her, his life would be made a living hell.
Amberlee smiled, "I think they like you," she giggled, turning her gaze to the fairy, "thank you again," she said.
The fairy kissed Amberlee's cheek, "silly sparrow, you should have come to us from the start," she scolded, a gentle smile on her lips.

Amberlee's eye lit up at the sound of training. "I'll go get changed right now," she said excitedly, hurrying off, the fairy in tow. When she returned, Andres informed her that he had ordered them food and lead her to the garden. She loved the royal garden, even though it needed work. She always felt most calm and at ease here. And in the arms of her prince, of course.
The little fairy was still by Amberlee's side, stealing bites of food out of her plate until she had had her fill, then she flew around the garden, never straying too far from Amber, and checking back every so often as if to ensure she was still there, still alright.
Amberlee smiled, "I really am happy they gifted you that charm," she said softly, placing her plate down beside her, "I feel like I can now share my world with you," she beamed. She cocked her heed in confusion when he said he didn't propose properly. And when he got down on one knee, kneeling before her, she smiled so brightly. In that moment, her entire body seemed to glow, like a star. And even though he had asked before, this time t he question simply took her breath away.
The fairy drifted closer, watching the happening.
"Yes, my prince, yes, I will marry you" Amberlee answered, her heart wanting to explode with love for him. Her eyes became teary and she gripped his hand tighter. She leaned down and wrapped her other arm around his neck, pulling him into an embrace. "I love you, Andres. You're the only one for me," she whispered, "it's always only been you."
The fairy cheered with delight, swooping in and flying around the two of them, chanting a blessing in an ancient tongue over the pair.

When time finally came for their training, Amberlee paid close attention, trying to absorb as much of what he was teaching her as possible. The sword was much heavier than she expected and the shield even more so. Eventually, she had to settle for a short rapier, since it was light enough for her to lift and wield without problems. Only until you get your strength back, Andres had told her. But she wasn't allowed to do much more than a few movements, before he took the weapon away and gave her a practice sword that was made of wood. That was what she would train with. She couldn't help but admire him, how he seemed to change a little while he showed her a few things. As if he slipped into a state of utter calm, and something in his usual charming way turned sharp and deadly. She felt herself swoon at the sight, becoming a little light headed. But she didn't say anything to him. Although the fact that she was barely able to keep the smile from her lips when he came close, was a dead giveaway.
The fairy had clearly noticed, and giggled at her every time that happened. She remained close enough to Amberlee to watch over both closely, but stayed out of the way of the weapons.
Training was difficult, and Amberlee had a tough time learning the steps, her coordination not as good as she thought it was. If she wasn't tripping over her own feet, she was holding the sword incorrectly, or swinging it in a way that would sooner cut herself open than the enemy, thankfully it was only a training sword. When she thought she was getting the hang of it, in her own mind anyway, she grinned at Andres, "how about a friendly little duel?" she taunted, grinning mischievously

Andres grinned at how well Amberlee was taking to the training. Though it started easy… he knew it would get harder and harder. “It will build up the muscles, Amber. Remember that.” Then added “ Just don’t get too into the training. I wouldn’t want to tire yourself out after ten minutes. Plus… if you can withstand my heavy blows, Amber, then I can do a little duel”

Andres smirked at his own words before getting into a playful stance “ If you loose, then you owe me a two- week servitude starting tomorrow night.’ His eyes glinted as he got into a more comfortable stance and went right for Amber’s forearm. He hoped that she would have fast reflexes to stop the sword from taking her arm. And to Andres’s surprise… she did.

An hour past and Andres’s energy began to begin to grow. “ I think I’m the one who owes you now, Amber” he chuckled. “Make your request. And it shall be yours” He looked away from her eyes as he placed the real two swords in their appropriate sheathes and the wooden one behind his back, before he took Amberlee back to the house to relax. How will I now protect her…from Claude…he’s underrated and dangerous. To her, me, and the whole royal family now.   he thought as they walked back into the house and up the elegant stairway. Back up to the study.  Andres’s headed straight for his bed, melting into it. But then after all this silence they shared after going inside, he broke that silence. “You need to watch out for him, Amber. He’s a danger to all of us. And most importantly, he’s dangerous to you.” He pointed a finger at her from  where he was on the bed before placing it on his stomach. “ Why don’t you come here and tell me what you wish. Anything you wish for, will be yours.”

He then smirked and patted the side of the bed  so she could join him.  If only this bed was fit for two…. He thought as he took Amber closer to him so she was sitting on his chest. Looking into her eyes “ You are the colors of my heart, Amber. The very stars above my head every night of every day.” He smiled a this own words because he knew they were true. “All I need to do is plan a little outing, just the two of us. Somewhere you and I can be alone. Where our trouble will disappear and all around us is joy, happiness and love. If we go somewhere special, I will show you all the wonders and places within. Things you never saw before.” He then  pressed his hands against her back, pulling herself forward and kissed her lips. Gently and slow at first before smirking through the kiss and flipped them over. He looked down at her “ tell me how im supposed to live without you, Amber.” He teased “ How am I supposed to carry on. When you give me everything and so much more. More than I ever dreamed.” And then, he vowed to her “ I  vow at this moment right here and now, that I will be faithful to you, never hurt you, or harm you. I will always be there to make you laugh on your days of pain and make you laugh on your happy days.”

Amberlee smiled at Andres, gently tracing his jawline. She leaned forward and kissed him deeply, losing herself in his kiss for a time, she wasn't sure if it was seconds or minutes or longer. The kiss made her light headed, her heart racing and breathing grew ragged.
When she finally broke the kiss, she smiled sweetly at her lover. "You ask me what I want, you say you would give me anything, but what could I possibly ask for?" she asked him, brushing hair from his chiseled face, "you have given me so much. And what could possibly be more precious than your heart?" she asked sweetly, but her smile faded a moment later, "I would ask for my father's safe return. But I know this is out of your control and it's very unfair for me to ask such a thing," she said softly, a sadness flashing in her eyes. She took a few moments to blink away her sadness, then smiled sweetly at him, "I suppose there is one thing I would ask for, if you truly meant that I could ask for anything. And it is that we don't have to hide," She said softly, "You have proposed, and I accepted," she glanced at the ring, thumbing it, "I don't mean we need to do anything extreme, and I know that there are some places where I simply won't be allowed because of your duties and responsibilities, but at least allow me to treat you as my fiancé in public and do the same to me," she asked.

Amberlee shifted, "surely you can't be comfortable acting as my seat," she giggled, then glanced at the bed, "you should obtain a bigger one," she teased, not thinking he'd take her seriously as she moved to get up off of him. She was halted by sudden movement though. "Jade?"  she asked in confusion.
The fairy swooped in, flying so quickly that she nearly flew in to Amberlee.
A few moments earlier, the fairy had left the two alone, so that they could have some privacy. She had been dancing in the garden, when she received some troubling news, and immediately rushed back.
"Sparrow! We have been told!" Jade cried out, "he gathers the dark ones. They are to be a net!"
"What?" Amberlee frowned in confusion, "Jade, slow down, what are you talking about?"
"Claude has summoned his dark ones. They amass at his home. Our Queen suspects he will send them out as a net," Jade explained.
Amberlee tensed. "Well, I suppose it's a very good thing you have that charm," she said a little breathlessly to Andres. "Do you have any information on his scheme?" she asked the fairy.
"Only that he plans on using the dark ones. A forbidden act," Jade stressed.
Amberlee turned to Andres, "this makes things complicated," she said softly, chewing her thumb nail. "Jade, could you fae setup a perimeter around this estate?" she asked.
Jade blinked, "we would have to ask our Queen," she said honestly, "she will decide."
Amberlee looked to Andres, "will you come with us to speak to the Queen of the Fae?" she asked him, "time is limited, so this may have to happen sooner rather than later."

“ It would be my pleasure and honor to talk to her, Amberlee.” He said as he saw the little fairy names Jade fly in and give the warning to Amber. “ And I had a feeling he would go to this great length. But he has to be stopped before he hurts anything or anyone.” Then added as he rushed out of his bed and looked at the window. And don’t worry about the perimeter… I have ways of keeping that man off my father property.” He grinned widely “I think a little game with him is all it takes to see how far he can even come towards my gates. He won’t get far.” Then sighed as he looked at Amber “  Your father wont get  harmed if we make it in time. As for you’re your request….” He thought about it “ I accept. No more hiding our true feelings for each other. No matter who we speak to or be around. You will always be beside me wherever we go.” He wrapped his arms around her gently and lovingly before giving her forehead a kiss.

“ Thank you, Jade. I will for sure come to the Queen and talk to her. I will do everything in my power to keep my fiancé safe. Along with the kids I have come to know and love. If he gets past with everything I have set up on my end, then I’ll fight him to the death if need be. All he’s asking for is trouble. He could make this a war zone in a matter of days.”

He had looked at Jade for a few moments before gaining his mind back “I will have to talk to the guards to see what we have that could stop Claude for a time, but we will have to go to greater lengths after that if he goes through them.”

Then looked at Amberlee “I suggest you change into something fancier if we are to go to the Queen soon. I will do the same so that I let her know that I mean business. And that I will stand beside her and her forces if I need.” Then back to the fairy he said, “ Go to the others and tell them to get ready. I will be there with Amber soon”

After that, he just stood there, deciding what he was about to do was the right thing.  If I am to do the royal like thing… I have to go to the Queen. I cant stop now. I made a promise and I tend to keep it. He then walked off to his room to get into the war clothes, with his  2 swords and his pocket knife. His  outfit was pitch black with gold lining around the cuffs and neck area with the embroidered tag of his family crest on the right side. “ And don’t forget… we have to go see Claude tomorrow… and mby we.. I mean you.” he   said with a little chuckle “ I will be coming too but way ahead of you so I’m positioned right”

Just then,  his most trusted Guard came in and wondered what was to happen that day. Andres placed a hand on his shoulder and told him what was to happen “ I need you to set a very wide perimeter around the house. I have some… unfinished business with Claude tomorrow, So I will be very occupied with him and helping with something with Amberlee’s aid. I will be safe  now that the fae have given me a protective charm to keep me safe from anyone's harmful magic”

Westley nodded, acknowledging that he understood his order. "Don't worry, milord, we'll keep this estate safe," he said confidently, then took a moment to admire Andres' protective charm, "does that little thing really protect against magic?" he asked curiously. Magic. He still struggled to believe it was real, and right here in his town, in the place that serves as his home. He had heard rumors about it's existence before, grew up with stories when his mum was still alive, but he had never believed, not really, until he met Amberlee and saw first hand what Cassandra did to his prince. "If I may be so bold, how will we fair if magic is used in your absence?" he asked, thinking now not only of the lives of those within the estate they would protect, but the lives of his men who trust him.
"Very well, in fact. Especially with our help," a female purred from behind Westley.
The guard spun around, immediately on the defensive. But he could hardly describe what he saw. She was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Her skin was like moonlight, hair blue black, like the midnight sky. Her eyes were a deep violet and her full lips seemed to have a natural red to them. Every curve was perfect, every inch more stunning than the next, even her delicately pointed ears seemed to perfectly round off her almost ethereal beauty. He blinked, believing he was seeing things. His breath seemed to catch in his throat. He rubbed his eyes, "what trickery is this?" he breathed.
"Andres, allow me to introduce Titania, Queen of the Fae," Amberlee said a little nervously, motioning toward the queen with her hand.

-------------------

Some moments earlier.

Amberlee slipped out of Andres' study and headed to the room she'd been staying in, with the hopes of finding something to wear. She knew she'd have no choice but to wear one of the beautiful dresses hanging there, that belonged to Andres' deceased lover. On the way there, she mentally prepared herself. There's nothing wrong with this, she said to herself, these clothes are still new, and absolutely lovely. I'm sure he meant well when he gave them to me to wear. I should think of it as a wonderful gift, she concluded, then smiled, and a great honor that it was made by his mother. Now smiling, and no longer resenting the clothing in her room, she entered her room and walked straight to where all the dresses neatly hung. "Which to choose?" she muttered to herself. She grabbed a red and gold on, holding it before her body as she stood in front of a full size mirror. She tilted her head this way and that, "no," she moaned, then hung it back in it's place. She tried again with a deep red one, then a black and silver on, then on of varying shades of blue. None of them felt right for this. She tried a violet and pink one, an orange and ruby one, even an emerald and silver one. That last one came close but still didn't feel like what she should wear.
"Try the lime one, with emerald embroidery," a female purred mischievously behind her.
Amberlee spun around so quickly, she nearly fell. She had not expected a voice from behind her and it gave her quite the scare. She was about to scream for Andres, when Jade swooped in.
"My Lady!" Jade exclaimed excitedly, "you came!" She flew around her excitedly.
"Of course, my sweet child, I would not let this crime go unpunished," the exquisite beauty said. Her white and silver dress did wonders to compliment every curve of her perfect body, even if it was rather sheer in some places.
Jade, giggling with glee, turned to Amberlee, "allow us the honor to introduce our Queen, Titania of the Fae," she announced.
Amberlee immediately dropped into a low curtsy.

Titania giggled, "such formality," she teased, then bid Amberlee rise, "I appreciate the sentiment."
Amberlee was so dumbstruck, she didn't know what to say. She didn't know where to look. She didn't realize she was holding her breath.
Titania seemed very amused, her violet eyes glistening. "If you are wondering why I am here, I will explain it when we have reunited with your prince," the Queen said, "now come, get dressed, that we may talk," she hurried, rather casually.
Amberlee bowed her head, grabbing the dress the Queen suggested and quickly put it on. She looked at herself in the mirror. She barely recognized herself.
"Perfection," Titania breathed, "now come, take me to your prince," she said gently, but still with a commanding air.
Amberlee obeyed.

------------------

Back in the present.

Amberlee gazed nervously at Andres, still not sure herself how to react to this situation.
Jade was fluttering around Titania and Amberlee, seemingly content with life.
"To answer the question no doubt plaguing your mind, I have come because rules have been broken," Titania said firmly, "Claude has overstepped his boundaries. Even though his deal was with the dark ones, they are still my children, and I do not appreciate him leashing them and then forcing them to fight one of our own," she said firmly, her gaze drifting to Amberlee.
"Sleigh beggies have always been considered one of us," Jade explained casually, "therefore, an attack upon a sleigh beggy deeply saddens our queen, and is akin to attacking a pureblooded fae."
"And it is because of that, that we have decided to intervene," Titania said firmly, "no contract is made with a magical being without me knowing, but even then, once the deal is made, I cannot break it. Claude, however, is bending the rules of what he is allowed to do with magic that isn't rightfully his. And besides that, I happen to be rather fond of my little sparrow," she said tenderly, like a mother, reaching out and gently brushing the back of her fingers down Amberlee's cheek, "her mother has always been kind to the fae, a trait that she has inherited," she said, revealing that Amberlee had been watched by the fae from the day she was born, "as such, I shall not take this threat lightly. Jade informed me you are to meet with this Claude tomorrow, and that you wanted to seek my aid. So, I decided to save you the journey and come to you," she said with pride, smiling at Andres. "Now, tell me prince, what game is it you wish to play with the one named Claude?" she asked, "bear in mind, if you harm my sparrow, you will face the wrath of the Queen of the fae," she warned, for a moment her eyes and face flashing, turning into something of nightmares before returning to that exquisite state.
Amberlee remained silent, but her gaze was glued to Andres, understanding now why the Queen had sent the protective charm for her prince. Her heart nearly burst with gratitude.

Andres looked at the Queen before bowing to her in respect. “ Your Majesty… I could and would NEVER hurt my love of my life. I promised her I would never do such thing. The love I have for her is stronger than I ever thought it would be. The trust I have within myself to protect her from Claude and his forces is beyond imaginable. But if I ever did harm her in any way before, I greatly apologize in advance. My intention is not to harm her… but the one who plans to. Claude himself.” He rose back to the standing position before looking back at the Queen. Her beauty beyond compare. “ As for me knowing what I know about Claude’s whereabouts… I cannot say. But I didn’t even know he had evil forces until now. I knew him a long time ago when we were-“ but he forced himself to stop. “ Im sorry… that really isn’t necessary for me to say, is it?” he said  biting his lip. His eyes never leaving the queen. For she asked him a question. A deep question only he would know. And the others to follow behind him. “ I plan to break the forces into tiny groups, your majesty. I don’t know how many are with him, but the more there are, the harder it will be because we will have more to deal with. So I hope to the stars above that he doesn’t have too many.”

Then looked over at Amberlee and gave her a smile.  That dress was my fiancés favorite too he thought  she looks much prettier in it than I imagined.  He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Holding her tightly against him. “ I will do everything in my power to keep her and everyone else I care about here and the town, safe, from the dark powers that come”  he promised to everyone, including the queen.

He then looked at Westley and chuckled before looking at the charm, holding it in his palm “ yes Westley, it does indeed protect me from dark magic. And hopefully the dark magic that arises as we speak. “ then added, but looked at the queen as he spoke, ” time runs out quickly.  But the meeting with Claude must come first. I hate the idea of doing it. But it must be done. I will go with her to make her feel safer. In case Claude tried to harm her I will intervene. If something happens during that meeting I will try and contact you, your majesty, to get my fiancé out of there before any more harm is done.”

The time was growing short as they continued to talk, but it was worth it all the same. “ I appreciate you, your majesty. Thank you for giving me the charm. I will treasure it always. And I wont disappoint you in what happens from here.” He then broke the group so that he could have his time with Amberlee alone. When he finally got that chance he intertwined his hands into hers and looked into her eyes “ we will get through this, Amber, I promise. Just promise me that when tomorrow comes, you will be brave and not give anything away from what happened her today. Understood?” He placed a kiss on her forehead, then her nose, then finally, her lips. The feelings of pain and worry gone the moment they interlocked. A feeling they both shared physical, emotionally, and mentally. But he soon broke the kiss and just held her in his arms, letting her head rest on his upper chest. Soft hums escaped him as they stood in silence. Only the sound of their breath and heartbeat could be heard in the room

As time wore on, the sky began to change and in a matter of hours, night arrived, with clear skies to where anyone could see every star in the sky. With everything that’s happened so far, Andres tried not to think of what was to come of the meeting with Claude. He led them both to his study and began to get into his nightwear. And in a matter of moments, he was in his bed looking at Amber “You want to stay here with me tonight, or can you handle a night without me?” he said with a wink. “You will need all the rest you can get, darling. A long week lies ahead. For all of us. “

Andres wanted what was best for the Queen of the Fae and for Amberlee. Everything that would happen, were up to him. Everything was piled up onto his shoulders. He just hoped that the decisions he would soon make, were the right ones. Ones that would keep everyone safe, and not in harm’s way. I just hope I’m doing what is right… for me and Amberlee’s future he thought

Titania studied Andres closely while he spoke. She watched everything, like a hawk. She watched his mannerisms, where he seemed to focus, the way he carried himself, all this while listening closely to what he said. Her heart was warmed at the affection he seemed to show Amberlee, and how his gaze and tone always seemed to soften whenever he addressed her. This is good, she thought, this shows promise. She smiled at him when he promised his undying love, and upon glancing at Amberlee, she could tell by the girl’s smile and the light that shone in her eyes that she truly loved her prince as well, that he was the one she had chosen. Titania was a little sad that she had chosen a human and not a fae, but atleast he was a very good human. Perhaps she would find a way to change him into a fae later. For now, they had bigger problems. II am not convinced Claude will intentionally harm her,” the queen gave her opinion, “I have heard his whispers. Although he will claim her life if she will not give herself to him, I do believe the plans he has for her are far worse that mere harming,” she warned, then smiled, “but I have faith that everything will be alright in the end.”
Amberlee silently listened to the conversation, not really being able to give much input. Her gaze never drifted from her prince, as if she was memorising everything about him, his face, his smile, his captivating eyes.

The Queen of the Fae gave input on Andres’ battle plans as best she could, advising him on how the fae would likely think and act and how best to counter it. She gave possible strategy ideas to both Andres and Westley, who she genuinely had forgotten was even there, she had assumed he had been petrified because he had been so deathly still, or perhaps a very realistic statue. She had been pleasantly surprised when the man finally spoke and asked Andres about the charm. “I am not wholly convinced he will send a large attack here. If he even does at all, I think it will be no more than a distraction. His focus will be Amberlee. And because of that, he’ll probably keep the strongest of his legion at his side,” she warned, “I will send guards to assist in keeping the grounds here safe, and I will have my own forces in hiding in the forest. If he chooses to unleash his forces upon my sweet sparrow, he will be met with a force in kind.
And don’t worry, he will never know that they are there,” she promised with pride.
“I still don’t really understand why you’re doing this,” Amberlee said softly
“Do I need a reason?” Titania asked her plainly
Amberlee lowered her gaze, “no, I suppose not. Thank you, either way,” she said with a curtsy.
Titania placed a finger under Amberlee’s chin, and guided her gaze up to meet her own, “sleigh beggies are one of us. I do this because he has declared war by harming one of my children. I do this because your mother has always been kind to me and mine, and you have inherited this trait. I do this because you are mine,” she said with a certain possession in her voice, “and I will not see any harm you, or any of my children,” she stated firmly. Then she did something considered strange to humans, but not that strange to fae. She kissed her.
Amberlee remained still as death, her gaze wide, not wanting to insult the Queen, but not knowing what to do either.
“Go, be with your prince,” Titania said when she broke the kiss, “you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow and you need your rest,” she said tenderly, brushing her hair in behind her ear. Then the Queen turned a rather ravenous gaze to Westley, a sensual smile tugging on her lips.
Westley’s expression was caught somewhere between eager anticipation and horror.

When Amber was finally alone with Andres, she loosed a breath. “That was intense,” she sighed, already feeling exhausted. But the moment Andres intertwined his hands with hers, she immediately felt better. Her heart began beating faster. And then he promised they would get through this. She smiled at him, truly believing him. She nodded when he asked her to be brave and keep today a secret, “I promise, I won’t say a word. And I will be brave.” She leaned into his kiss that followed, once again feeling content.

Later that evening when Andres lead them to his study and changed into his nightclothes, Amberlee blushed and immediately moved to the window, staring out while her prince changed, giving him some privacy. Then he asked if she wanted to stay with him the night. She gracefully turned to face him, her dress swaying in her movement. She wanted to stay with him. “But I...have nothing to wear tonight,” she said sheepishly, stepping closer to him, “so unless you give me a shirt and such, I...you know,” she lowered her gaze, blushing a deep red, “I want to stay here, with you, tonight.” Always, was the word she wanted to add. She was worried about the morrow. She was worried that something might go wrong and Andres might get hurt. She even considered asking him to stay here, but in the time they’d spent together she had learned one thing, they were stronger when they were together, than when they were apart. So, she took his shirt and a pair of shorts he offered her, slipped away to change, then returned to his side. She gingerly sat on the side of his bed, gazing into his lovely eyes, “make me a promise, Andres,” she said, “promise me, that no matter what, that you will think of your own safety as well. That you will return to me, and not sacrifice yourself for nothing. Promise me right now, and then I will promise the same. It should put both our minds at ease over tomorrow.” The shirt she was in was rather large on her, and when she sat, it slid to the side, revealing one of her shoulders, but she didn’t seem to immediately notice. She was too fixed on Andres, on hearing him promise.

I’ll make sure I get you something comfy to wear at night, Amberlee” Andres chuckled as he begam to take off his paisley before placing it on a hanger before walking back to the dresser and placed the black pants inside.  He rarely wore anything at nigh time but since his girlfriend was here, he thought he might as well wear something to cover up. As he fiddled around to find the comfiest night cloth… he listened carefully to what Amberlee said. After he let her speak, he then spoke letting her know what he thought. “ Yes Amberlee… I promise I will return home safe and in one piece. Back to your arms where I belong. And don’t worry about me. I’m a trained fighter, Amber… I can take on a whole battalion… or in this case a whole legion or warriors stronger than m. I’ve been there. I fought too. I know what to look for.” He turned his head as he grabbed a night shirt and shorts before walking over to her and wrapped his warm arms around her, before planting a kiss on her head. “ He wont have a chance to take you away, Amber.  He would have to get through me first before getting to you. But like I said… he wont have that chance. Plus I have to find where our father is. Once we find him, we can get rid of the dark forces that Claude created. But when he is alone… that man is mine.”

He kept holding her for a few more moments before bringing the two of them to the bed “ since you didn’t make up your mind, your staying with me.” He teased as he flopped onto the bed.

What Andres didn’t know yet was that a dream about Claude and his men. Not only that but his love of his life be taken away from him. He mumbled as he took Amberlee with him, onto the bed, keeping his arms, rather protectively around her.

As the night wore on, Andres tried to not fall asleep for fear of what was to come, but he soon gave up and closed his eyes, snuggled hand in and hand with Amberlee.

But it was two hours later when he woke up with sweat and hot body. “These have got to end!” he growled before looking at Amberlee, still fast asleep. Hoping he didn’t wake her,he got out of the bed, cooled himself off, got a glass of water and just paced back and forth in the room to try and keep his mind off of what was at stake. By the time the sun had risen, Andres was not even dressed when he heard a muffling and shuffling in his bed, but he didn’t turn around, he focused on what was ahead of him, his window and the forest beyond.

-----------

Meanwhile,

Claude had been preparing for this fight all night long. He had appointed certain members of his legion as generals, then ordered them to begin setting up traps and counter measures. Even though the instructions to Amberlee were clear, he had no doubt that Andras would somehow try to intervene. "Will you try to accompany her, or will you attempt to set a trap of you own, princeling?" he asked no one in particular as he studied a map on a small table within his study, "either way, meeting you in battle again will certainly be a highlight," he chuckled, "oh but don't worry, I'll be sure you get to watch her bind herself to me before I end you," he grinned, chuckling.

"Are you even sure this will work?" Cassandra asked snidely, earning a very agitated glare from her brother, "they've bested every one of your plans so far," she pointed out.

"No, ignorant sister, they bested each one of your plans," Claude growled, "unlike you, I'm not wholly incompetent," he snapped.

Cassandra scoffed, "you say that, yet last time-"

"Last time I didn't expect my little sleigh beggy to have nullification," Claude growled through clenched teeth.

"Your?" Cassandra arched a brow

"This time, I have my own counter measures in place," Claude grinned wickedly.

Cassandra scoffed, rolling her eyes before she turned and left.

Claude would spend the rest of the night preparing. He had ordered assassins to set themselves up along the forest paths, with strict orders to take out anyone except Amberlee. He sent out a small army to encircle Andras' estate, but they were to remain hidden for now. He would wait until the prince was in a compromising situation, before making him choose, the sleigh beggy or his kingdom. Lastly, he would not take Amberlee's father with him. Thomas would remain here, at the estate, imprisoned. His best guards would remain to watch over him, along with some of the dark ones he had under his control. And he would make Amberlee choose as well. He grinned, then laughed maniacally at his plan, which he believed was flawless.
As dawn broke, Claude gazed out over his own estate, delighting in the plans he'd made. "Soon, my little sleigh beggy, you will be mine," he breathed to the wind, his mind reeling with all the things he would do to her. He would ride out to the chosen location when the time came.

-----------

Back at Andras' estate.

Amberlee stirred in bed. She didn't remember falling asleep, but she remembered she slept warm and peacefully for most of the night. Even though she hadn't woken once during the night, at some point it was as if she sensed that source of warmth and protection had left the bed and her sleep grew a little less peaceful. Not to mention the short nightmare she had about her father being tortured. This occurred just before dawn, which was enough to have her wake with a bit of a start. She realized Andras wasn't in bed with her anymore and part of her wondered if she had done something to upset him. The sun was already rising by now. But her gaze found him shortly after, standing at the window, gazing out. He stood like a soldier, but seemed tensed.
The sheets sighed as she threw back the blanket and quietly got up, walking over to her prince. She wrapped her arms around his waist from behind and rested her head on his back. He really was tense, she could feel as much now holding him. She placed a gentle kiss on his back, between his shoulder blades before laying her cheek against his back again, "hey, are you alright?" she asked tenderly, "you weren't in bed anymore, I was worried I...overstepped boundaries by staying with you. Or did something to upset you," she said softly. Even though nothing happened between them, she knew that many would still consider this a most heinous act, since she was still a commoner and he was a royal. His body was like a solid rock in her embrace, something she would learn to find strength and reassurance in.

Andre’s  felt the embrace from behind and gave a slight smile “ You my light, have nothing to apologize for. Though it is a terrible act to overstep my royal boundaries or to upset someone of the family. You my light, never did such thing.”  He sighed before loosening Amberlee’s grip on him and turning so that he faced her. “ Im just worried about what is to come from all this. The war that is coming with Claude… and your father… I… im starting to wonder if befriending Claude was the worst of all my choices. Because if is is the worst… then im the one causing a war…not him. I feel as if the choices I  am about to make will hurt instead of bring people together.”

He gave yet another heavy sigh “ come on.. lets get dressed and start the morning… we have a very very long day ahead.” he unwrapped Amberlee’s hands that were around him after kissing Ambers forehead. “You need to get into something royal, but not too royal. And I myself…. Have to get myself and Carbriel ready.”

Andres  went into the closet and picked out his war clothes, set them on the dresser, his hands caressing the fabric. “It’s been so long” he whispered to himself. “I’ll help you in choosing darlin. Ill be with you in your room shortly. I have some prepping for a meeting with everyone of the household. You are willing to join me if you would like to see how things run in a royal meeting”

He then grabbed his war clothes and headed into the bathroom to change. Which didn’t take that long. In a matter for five minutes, he opened the door and stood at the door in the most amazing royal war garments anyone had seen. The necklace around his neck, hidden under the heavy garment. “ Now lets get my lady dressed” he teased as he wrapped an arm around her waist and walked into her bedroom, heading to the closet. He leaned against the door, looking around for something. * something that isn’t too tight, but not too loose…* he thought just as he snapped his fingers “ I know just the outfit for you my dear” he  smiled walking into the closet, the sound of hangers around them.
After some heavy searching, he came back with two different outfits. One dress and the other an outfit just like his. “ Now I suggest you try both of these on and see what you are able to wear. Because its going to be a long war. I want you comfortable and not a sight of pain.”

After that was over, Andres led himself and Amberlee to the study, all the guards, the maids, his father and mother, and his advisors were there waiting for him.
“ Now…  I know that this is something we all have come across in the past. But this is the hardest war anyone of us will have fought in. And I will do everything in my power to win this particular war. Andres cant win this one. “ He heard his highest ranked guard give a hoorah, the others following after.
“ That’s enough.” Andres said walking to the long table, his lady beside him “Now, Claude’s men will be surrounding the house very closely. So anyone who leaves the gates will suffer.”  he warned as he pointed on the map where the possible places would be for the guards and dark ones to be. “We need a surprise…” then looked at Amberlee “What would you suggest my dear…” he asked with a little smile. His hand locking with hers. “ any suggestions”
“ Your majesty.. she knows nothing of war, sir” the high ranked guard said. But then he stepped back and stayed silent after seeing his mistake.

“ That I disagree with. I have taught her a lot since she came to this household. And her opinions count now.” He looked back at her, kissing her head “You may speak, my dear.”

Amberlee didn't really say much after Andres went to change. A nervousness set in in her heart. So she quietly waited for him while he dressed, then followed him to her room. "You can't take the blame for any of this, Andres," she said softly, "this didn't happen because you befriended him. You were trying be nice, to do the right thing. How were you to know he has a dark and corrupted heart?" she asked as they walked. She hoped he would think on her words, let them sink in. Her fingers brushed his, "we'll get through this," she whispered, "we have to."

Once in her room, Amber fitted both outfits. She would head into the dressing room, out of sight of Andres, then change into one before coming out to show him, doing a turn so he could see. Then she returned, fitted the second one and repeated the process. "If I wear the war clothing, he might suspect something, if he doesn't already," she stressed, "I think for the meeting today, I'll wear the dress," she decided, her gaze lowering, "he did want me to wear something nice, after all," she said softly, as if the very words turned to ash in her mouth.
"Sparrow!" Jade called out as she flew in through the window, "we have brought you a gift," she giggled with delight, playful as ever. She carried a bundle of something in her little hands. "This will keep you safe," she promise with a bright smile, presenting Amberlee with the gift. It was an under shirt. Upon closer inspection though, it revealed itself to be chainmail. The links were so delicate, it would be mistaken for a rough fabric, and it was light as air. "As light as a breath, and tough as dragon scale," Jade told her happily, "wear it under your dress."
Amberlee smiled, reaching out and accepting the gift, "thank you, Jade, I truly appreciate this," she thanked, then hurried back to the room to put on the armor. Sure enough, it felt like a cool silk against her skin, light as air, just as the fair said. It said snug enough to perfectly hide beneath the dress, yet allowed her freedom of movement. When she emerged again wearing the dress, the armor wasn't even visible. It was perfectly hidden. She walked to the fairy and kissed the top of her head with gratitude. Then she accompanied Andres to the meeting.

Amberlee noted Westley first, how the man seemed to glow. She noticed the slightest bruising peeping out from under his collar, and she somehow knew that Titania had acted upon what she desired. She grinned, wondering if Andres had noted the same. Her smile soon faded as one of the guards seemed to think she knew nothing. He wasn't entirely wrong, but she had common sense, adn might be able to use her instincts to help. Amberlee parted her lips to speak, but was interrupted.

"You're wrong on one account," a female said from everywhere and nowhere, "it's not a matter of he will surround your estate, he has already surrounded your estate," Titania said as she appeared in the study. She was dressed in something that might be royal armor, but it still seemed awfully scant. Atleast in comparison to the humans.
Amberlee immediately bowed her head tot he queen in greeting. She could have sworn Westley blushed and gave the queen a feline grin, who returned it with a sensual grin of her own.
"His men have surrounded your estate, young prince," Titania said, suddenly serious, as she walked to Andres' side, "they have set up camp here, here and here," she pointed to the various points on the map, "they seemed to be opting to remain hidden. So far, we haven't detected anything other than humans, but they could be hidden, or simply held farther back. Extreme caution is advised," she said firmly. She spoke as though this was her war room. As if she belonged here as much as the others did.
Many of the advisors seemed to whisper among one another, and Titania received a mixture of responses. Some seeming surprised, others suspicious she was there, some gasped, others had a greedy look in their eyes, as if they wanted to trap the queen of the fae and sell her off to the highest bidder.
"If they are already here, then perhaps it is of the highest import that we prepare discreetly," Amberlee suggested, "at this point, I'm willing to bet Claude and his generals think we don't know about their forces so close. And if we keep it that way, we could lead them into a trap. Maybe sparing lives in the process," she suggested.
"The opposite could be true as well," an advisor countered, not arguing but offering a different perspective, "he could be aware that you have-" he looked Titania up and down, "outside help and could be setting up a trap. To turn these grounds into a slaughter house." The words seemed to spark panic among some there.
"...cursed fairies...this is why magic should be rooted out..." someone grunted in the back, some grunting their agreement
Amberlee's gaze darted around the room, not understanding how Titania could seem so calm. If anything, the fairy queen seemed amused by this, by being blamed for this war.

“Silence!” Andres ordered pounding his fist on the table. “ If they are already surrounding the estate…. I cant get to the stables fast enough or just out of sight.. too close to where they hide.” He thought as he looked over at the map once more. He looked up at his most loyal guard * seems to me hes up to something* he though as he straightened up “ is everything alright,  Westley? You seem…. pre occupied today.”
His hands clenched on the table as he looked from the map to his estate members, then eyed Titania “ He will know nothing of this. He thinks that im smart and cumnning and think of things like this on my own. Which is half the truth on his part. He doesn’t even know that I am getting the, lets just put it as… extra help,.. from everyone in my Esatate, including you, Titania. “ his eyes went from Westley to Titania, who stood beside him. Close proximity. He didn’t even shiver at the closeness of them. “ Thank you for the girl  of the charm and the chainmail for Amber. May it be enough to protect us.” Then added “ to protect us all.”

When he heard his lovers voice, he smiled “ We will spare as many of our men as possible, Amber. But the one person that I am more focused on is you. YOU cannot leave my side. You are linked to my heart. The key to everything I possess… it is now yours.” He said “ if anything happens to you I will fight harder.”

Andres stepped back from the table, talking over to the only window in the room, making sure that he was out of sight when looking out into the distance. “ I want everyone to be as ready as they possibly can because this is a war that will bring bloodshed. I can feel it. But to whom the blood that will spill… I do not know”
Then he looked back towards them “ A word with you alone, Titania?” he asked as he  excused the group, leaving 1 advisor, Amberlee and Westley in the room.
After it got quiet, did Andres sigh  “ Titania… my full focus is to keep Amber safe. You do everything you can in your power to keep anything off her. And I will do my part. If anything harms her.... I don’t want a single scratch on her. And forgive my men... they can be rude at times... please don't take offense of what they said today in the meeting. I know you were not the one who caused the war in the first place. It was Claude's. ” His eyes searched her own before walking off  back to Amberlee, his hands around her waist, his forehead on hers. “You did great in that meeting. I know it got loud… that’s just how things are. Debates occur and I have to enforce it to  go down.” He kissed her forehead, hugging her in his arms. “You are the most important thing to me at this point in time, Amber” he whispered before  turning her head up with his index finger so their eyes locked. He leaned in for a long kiss. One that had so much power built in. He didn’t realize he was gripping her waist til he felt a flinch. He gasped as he backed off. “Come on… we better get prepped even more. This isn’t just a little decision I have to make… It revolves around everyone in the estate and the town itself.”

Westley was caught by surprise when his prince called him out. He blushed, "no, my lord, my focus is here," he said firmly.
Titania gave Westley a feline grin, but then continued giving insight where she could.

After the debate, when Andres asked to speak privately with Titania, she cocked her head curiously. She smiled at his apology, then laughed. "You think I care what mortal men have to say?" she asked, genuinely amused by the happening, "understand one thing, princeling, I am here because of her," she pointed to Amberlee, "she is a sleigh beggie, she as much mine as a sprite or highelf or dragon. Claude's mistake was harming her, and then having the audacity to use the dark ones to attempt hunting and taking her," her eyes flashed with power and anger, "I will protect Amberlee, but not because you asked. I do it because she is loved. And I fight Claude, because it's personal and he has upset me. It just to happened that you chose the right side," she grinned.
Westley approached Titania, but didn't intervene.
"Thank you, majesty," Amberlee said politely.
Titania reached out and cupped Amberlee's cheek. She smiled sweetly at her. "Perhaps, after this nonsense, you'll finally come live in my realm," she purred, before turning to Westley once again.

Ambelee was swept into Andres' embrace, lost herself in his kiss. She felt a bit like he was squeezing her air from her lungs, as if he were holding on desperately, not wanting to lose her. It made her feel safe, if a little faint. "I hope we're all okay," she said to him once he released her from the intoxicating kiss, "you hold my heart on your hands. You are the most important to me, Andres, if anything happened to you, I'd never forgive myself. Please, please promise me you'll be careful." She took his hand and placed it over her heart, "I am stronger when you are with me. I will guard your back, and I know you will guard mine. And, together, we will put an end to this ridiculousness. Then," she grinned, "you can finally take me on a real date. One that won't be interrupted," she giggled

After everyone had left, Andres sighed, leaving just himself and Amberlee. “I don’t want to lose you” he said after he let his tight grip on her go. “If you guard mine, I shall guard yours. “ he replied back, his hand intertwined in hers.  “Oh you have no idea what I have planned for you, sweetness.” he chuckled as he picked her up in his arms, carrying her to their bedroom, setting her gently back to her feet at the door “By the way… you looks stunning in that dress. I can’t even see the chainmail underneath.”

His mind traveled back to Westley for a moment “Did you by chance see what was going on with Westley…. Did Titania do something to him? If so, I need to know. Because no one… and I repeat.. no one touches my men or anyone else without my permission.” * Is he hitting on her or something perhaps? * he thought as he looked out the window, looking to see if there was any movement or anything of the sort. Nothing. At least…. yet. “We will have to do everything on foot, Amber… they are guarding the stables… I hope you remember all the training about fighting I taught you, Amber, because it will greatly be needed when we step out of the estate doors. But I don’t want to leave just yet. I set up two different sets of parameters around the estate.  A few smoke bombs a few other things that can’t be seen to the naked eye. Even to the Dark Ones. I have tricks up my sleeve no one has seen yet. And they will be used to the best of my ability.”

He gave a wide smile at Amberlee’s quick mind “A date, you say?” he teased as he took her chin in his hand and kissed her. "Well we will have to see about that, now wont we? Oh I have a plan Claude will hate for sure. Some simple words that will make him think twice about taking you, Amber.”  He gave her a hug and a kiss on her lips before leading them back down the elegant staircase and to the dining table for their meal before the plan of what took place in the study would happen. “ Eat up, we will need all the energy we can muster. That goes for you too, Amber. You stay close to my side.”

Amberlee beamed when Andres complimented her dress, a soft blush blooming on her cheeks. "Why, thank you, my prince," she purred, despite the gravity of what hung over them, Amberlee would not allow herself to not enjoy these moments with the prince who held her heart in his hands. She did, however, burst into a short laugh when Andres asked about Titania and Westley.
"Do you not think it rather obvious?" she asked with a playful mischief in her eyes, "the queen of the fae has clearly taken a liking to  your guard. I'd bet you anything that after our little meeting, she didn't leave the estate. And that Westley did not spend his night alone. Which is why he kept grinning at her this morning," her smile softened, "I don't think Titania did it to cause trouble, though. My father-" her eyes flashed with sadness for a moment and her voice became strained, but she took a breath, calmed her emotions, and tried again, "my father used to tell me stories that some of the fae don't exactly follow the same rules we do when it comes to love and desire. Some of them do. It could be that the queen decided that Westley was someone she wanted to fool around with for a bit, and if he didn't outright deny her, they likely spent the night together," she shrugged, blushing at the thought, "and I doubt their night together was as innocent as ours," she added softly. Of course, she had no proof of this, and she could be absolutely wrong. But that was the impression she got when she watched the two, and read their body language. Especially since the queen seemed to pay very little attention to everyone else in the room, aside from herself, Andres, and Westley, who seemed to receive special attention. "If you want to know the full truth though, I suggest one or both of them," she gently slipped her hand into his, "is it really something to be concerned about, though?" she asked.

The atmosphere in the room took a sharp change when he asked if she remembered her training, though. "I do, yes. Or atleast, my mind remembers it. Whether or not my body will react quickly enough, is yet to be seen," she said softly, a lack of confidence in herself becoming evident.

After their discussion, and kiss that took her breath away, she followed him to the dining table. She tried her best to obey, to eat up and muster her energy, but her stomach had started pulling a tight knot, and it was an effort to swallow the bites she did manage to take. She had never been in a conflict like this, and had no idea what to truly suspect.

Jade, the little fairy familiar, flew in through the open window. "Sparrow! We come bearing news," she smiled, flipping playfully in the air.
"Hello again, Jade," Amberlee said, offering the fairy a small pastry, "what is it?"
Jade accepted the pastry with a delightful grin and perched herself on top of the table, happily nibbling away. "The Queen has set up forces around the estate," she said between nibbles, "she awaits the prince's to strike. However, scouts have reported a most troublesome thing. Shadows and assassins line the path to the waterfall. My Queen suspects a trap," she told them.
Amberlee tensed. "He suspects me to uphold my end of the bargain when he laces the path with traps and peril?" she massaged her temples for a moment, gathering her thoughts, then she turned her gaze to Andres. "I think he expects you to come with me. And they could be stationed there to tire you out before reaching him, to give him the upper hand in a fight. Perhaps...perhaps you should not be going ahead of me, or even with me. Perhaps we should find another way to-"
Amberlee was interrupted by the dinning room doors opening. "Forgive the interruption, my lord, my lady," Westley said respectfully as he walked in, bowing low, "if the lady Amberlee is to make her meeting in time, then she had best look to departing now. Especially if she must travel on foot," he pointed out politely, having already calculated how fast Amberlee travels and how much time she'll need.
Amberlee thought a moment, "If I travel alone, perhaps I should then actually take a horse. If they are watching us, then that would be the  most natural thing to do, it might not seem as suspicious."
Westley clearly didn't like this sudden possible change, that Amberlee would be going alone. "If I may, I don't think it's wise changing plans at the last moment," he offered in council.
Amberlee looked to Andres, "what do you suggest?" she asked, placing a hand on his, "what should we do?
