Dapple Brush

I finally tried a dapple brush instead of painstakingly putting dots, blending, smudging, and absolutely hating the way it turns out. (Often accompanied with WiFi lags and then hours of work disappearing. Ugh.) Oh my gosh was it worth it and I am never. ever. ever. going back. 

I may or may not have forgotten to add my design credits. oopsie. 

I would love some critique on making a more natural dapple in the softer parts of the coat. I tried to keep this design very subtle because I wasn't too sure about it. (Or a link to your guys' favorite dapple brush.)

blending helps a lot! blend where you want the softer look. and play around with layer settings/ opacity!

I wouldn't know since I don't have a dapple brush, but that looks amazing!

I usually put dapples on a separate layer so that I can use a big soft brush eraser at low opacity and just erase around edges and areas that dapples aren't normally as prominent

I also use this dapple brush quite a bit! I think I have another one but I can't remember where I got it

Ah, thank you! Yes I think next time I will end up putting them on a whole different layer as well... I think if I blended around the edges on the character in the main post it would look 100x better.
