Tango
As the herd began to inch away from their old home-ground Tango waited a moment. The herd didn't notice she wasn't coming along- and it would only take a moment. She grabbed up a jagged rock in her mouth, and the dustiness of it made her thirsty. She carried it to a big tree- her tree. She placed the rock down right in between two others. She looked at it in satisfaction. There was a complete circle of rocks around the tree- of which she had been working on for months. She stomped at the dirt and looked around the empty grounds for a minute. It was odd to see it stripped of horses. She glanced back down at the rock and trotted over to the edge of the cliff. Thanks to earlier rain, she left hoofprints in a trail along it as she walked. When she decided she was content, she took off full-speed in the direction the herd had left. To her surprise, they were much further along than Tango previously thought, and it was a chore catching up with them. When they were finally in sight, her sides were dripping in sweat. Instead of feeling burnt out though, she felt full of energy. She quickly took off again full-speed, crow-hopping, and bucking wildly as she went. She loved the feel of the wind in her mane, and she didn't mind it when a few horses turned and watched her in utter disbelief. She kept on her silly ways and enjoyed the long walk to their new home. At times- she even felt like running circles around the herd, but when she tried that her mother called out to her and told her to quit. So, Tango went back to crow-hopping and jumping around.

(Sorry for disappearing!!, And also sorry this is so short, I'm not sure what else to put ;-;   ))

"Uhh your lead mare, Sorry I never got her name, said to ask you to take me to a spring. Something about making me look more like a desert horse." Rubi seemed like a nice filly, and Calypso decided she was actually going to make an effort to be friends with her. I'm using this opportunity to start over. I might as well make some friends.

Finally found time for this!

Rubi
"Sure! The nearest spring is this way," Rubi chirped. She trotted towards the spring, glancing back to make sure Calypso was following, but inside, she was wondering about what the horse meant by that. Where was she from, if not the desert?
They eventually arrived, and Rubi bent down to take a good long drink. Her throat was dry from the long trip. "You know, this is my favorite spot," she confessed. "I like to come here, away from the herd, and clear my head a little."

Windigo
Windigo chatted with some of the older mares, who were curious about the new horse. They asked her silly questions, but she didn't mind, she loved talking with the older mares. They were sweet, old things, who would believe you if you told them unicorns were real. They made her feel like a foal again- giving her subtle attention. They were also professional gossipers- but Windigo paid no mind to that. She looked off into the distance as the mares continued to talk around her. Something caught her eye, and she trotted away from the group of gossipers. It appeared to be a lone animal, way out, beyond the desert's grip. She dismissed it as it seemed to be a lonely desert deer, and besides, it was out of their land, and so it didn't quite matter to her. She twisted around and flicked her tail as other horses came to ask questions.

Tango
Tango was the first to spot the watering hole up ahead, and when she did, she bolted towards it. As she approached, she flicked her tail and her hooves seemingly barely touched the ground- she felt as though she were flying- and maybe she was. As she got closer, she should have slowed down, but she only gained speed. She pummeled into the water, out of sheer joy, and rolled and twisted in it. She didn't even take notice of the lush grass that grew around the water, and, for what seemed like at least a few miles. Cool water replaced the stinging sweat that once clung to her sides, and she drank to her heart's content. She raised her head as the herd neared, and took off the explore the small wooded area that surrounded the backside of the lake.

Riven
a four year old buckskin paint filly with a percing blue eye

riven has wandered the plains all her life. her mother a loner had left her herd to give birth but had never retuned after having riven. they had wandered all over but recently her mother had passed away. many a stallions have tried to get her to leave her mother and join them but were unable but now without having her mother to take care of shes ready to join a band but shes ambitious and wants to be the lead mare. she would join a big herd but dont be fooled by her sweet and inncent nature she would leave within a second if it meant she'd become boss. riven is quite flirty and will hit on most stallions trying to find one who can fulfill her dreams of being the lead mare.she is not part of a herd yet.

Riven

she trotted forward. she was tired shed been on the move since sunrise trying to find water. riven was about to give up when she heard winnys and nickers far in the distance she gazed up farther on the mountian wondiring if the rumors were true "there are actually horses living up here the alpine herd they call them" but then the thought struck her "with horses comes stallions and stallions mean a chance to become the lead mare" she wandered farther up the mountain wondiring if she could get herself accepted into the herd she hoped so she was tired of being alone as she reached the top of the crest she saw the horse. she positiond herself in front of the setting sun so it appered to make her glow. quite the flattering look she thought to herself. with that she winnyed a greeting to the herd and waited for the other horses heads to turn.

heres what she looks like

Tango
Tango looked up to watch as the sun set, and saw what appeared to be some super-horse. It was standing on the peak of a ridge, and the sun made the horse's coat glow. At first, she was amused, but as she kept watching she could see the body language of the horse change. She could tell this was a bold horse, as it stood tall. She watched it for yet another moment and ran to warn Mesa of the newcomer. As she got closer to Mesa she pondered something. Why did she need to warn anyone? She could greet the new horse herself. She spun and started cantering toward the new horse. She glanced back and saw the horses turning to watch her. As she reached the new horse she could see more of its features, and called out, “Hello.”

Tango
Tango smiled to herself and exclaimed, "Follow me- this way." She turned and headed toward the spring she had been playing in earlier. She looked around and continued toward the spring when she noticed Mesa staring her down and walking closer. As Tango got closer to the spring she started chattering, "Where do you come from?" Tango wasn't intimidated by this new horse- she knew if anything went south she had the speed to get the heck out of there unscathed. Before the horse got the chance to answer she continued, "I don't know if they'll let you stay, or for how long- but I am sure they will at least let you rest a bit."

As Mesa got closer Tango muttered under her breath, “Gotta go, be back soon.” Before the horse would have a chance to answer, Tango had slunk into the nearby trees. She walked for a few minutes until she found a large old tree, and she laid underneath it and doze off.

Riven

She plodded along after the other horse obediently “ im from-“ riven stopped speaking as the other mare cut her off she glanced around looking for the lead stud hardly hearing the other mare she had regained her strength now energized by seeing other horses after her long climb all at once she snapped back to reality just in time to hear the mare say “ I don’ t know if they’ll let you stay, or for how long- but I am sure they will at least let you rest a bit” riven didn’t respond she was destracted by the new horse who was walking towards them she didn’t hear the horse  leave but when she went to ask her who the new horse was she was gone and riven was left standing awkwardly alone.

Tango
Tango stood in the brush, watching as Mesa and the horse talked. For a moment, she thought she heard a whinny in the distance, but she shrugged it off and tried to listen to the conversation just in front of her. She decided she better get far away from there when she noticed Mesa getting antsy. She turned and walked deeper into the forest, to the tree she had found previously. Something caught her attention, hoof marks. Large hoof marks, larger than hers. She was taken aback by this as she thought she was the only horse so far in the herd to venture into the trees. She started following the hoof prints, and before she knew it- she had no idea where she was. She heard the rustle of leaves to the side of her and snapped her head around. She thought she saw the swish of a tail... and a large figure on top a horse. Surprised, she stood still and waited for the horse to leave, and she waited even a longer- just to make sure it was gone.

Iris
Finally shaking off all of the empty-headed mares and their silly chatter, Iris left Aster to play with the other foals and trotted into the forest, in need of some alone time. She envisioned how lovely her mane must look as it fluttered in the breeze, then made a spontaneous decision and headed toward the mountains. She remembered a quiet clearing on the edge of the Spruce territory, one she'd played in as a filly, and felt an uncanny urge to visit the place again. Goodness, she hadn't been there in years.

Her hooves following the path she'd traveled so many times when she was young, ducking under low-hanging boughs and squeezing through slight spaces in the trees, Iris was surprised how perfectly she remembered the way, unconsciously jumping over a snarl of burrs that had grown in the time she'd been gone. Finally, she neared the spot, the mountains visible through gaps in the trees. Iris paused on the edge of the clearing, but before she could surge through the branches into the memory, she detected a persistent rustling some fifty feet away. Some rabbit or fox? Irritated, Iris made to investigate the sound, but before she could a distinctly horse-like sound penetrated the brush. Iris flicked her ears, admittedly surprised. What was a member of the herd doing so near the Alpine territory? It occurred to her that if the horse saw her, it would look bad, being so close to the border herself; she hastily trotted further into the trees, where she could listen without being seen.

Almost immediately after she settled herself, the rustling broke off and hoofbeats crunched through the leaf litter. She heard unintelligible sounds- some language she didn't know- and the answering whinny of a horse, then the horse and its strange creature strode into a canter. Iris hurried forward, just in time to watch the fading shadow of a horse with a funny shape on its back. Uneasy, she trotted in back to her clearing, unaware of the filly still hiding nearby.
