Auberon
Auberon closed the door behind them, trotting over to Kahlen and covering her mouth, therefor stopping her from speaking. "That's not English. I'm pretty sure we've been through this," he sighed, letting his hand drop. "Now resume in English."

Kahlen 
Kahlen was caught off guard when he covered her mouth. "English. I hate English," she muttered under her breath. "We need..." She trailed off, forgetting the word in English. "Ugh, what are they called?!"

Auberon
"Schedules, lockers, I dunno..." Auberon suggested.

Kahlen 
"What he said." The secretary nodded and turned to her computer. "Why is English so annoying?" Kahlen muttered.

Mason
 In the time since Kahlen's outburst, Mason had been stifling laughter, and Em's concern was enough to push him over the edge. He turned to her, borderline cackling, wiping his eyes. "That- That's Kahlen and Auberon. Real good friends of mine. You gotta meet 'em. Come on." And with that, with no further implication as to what he was about to do, he grabbed Em's hand again, dragging her behind him as he jogged the rest of the way to the office and threw the door open.

Margot
"Okay," she had started to say right before she found herself being pulled along. Georgia burst out laughing again and Em just hoped she would follow them in so that she could get her locker information. Oh, and she was glad that the guy - whose name she still didn't know - hadn't been offended by the two people. 

Auberon
"Oh hey, Mason. Do you know why English is so annoying?" Auberon asked, noting Mason.

Kahlen 
"Think about who you ask that question," Kahlen said, tapping her foot in annoyance when they came in.

Auberon
"I mean, it is the hardest language in the world," Auberon mumbled.

Margot
She glanced back at Georgia and beckoned her in. When Georgia stepped inside, Em turned back to the other three. "French is far superior to English, in my opinion. I'm a bit biased, I guess, but I find French to be smoother, quicker, and frankly prettier. It's a romance language for a reason." She smiled. "And like you said, English is supposed to be one of the hardest languages. Though I believe Mandarin Chinese is supposed to be the most difficult."

"Oh no, she's smart," Auberon muttered. 

Margot
She gave a small, nervous laugh, unsure how to respond to that. Georgia stifled a giggle and stepped past Em. "Thanks, Em. I think I've got this now," Georgia said quietly as she passed, walking around the others and to the secretary. Em heard a soft murmur as she asked for a new copy.

Auberon gave the girl a small smile. "I'm Auberon, this is my girlfriend Kahlen," he introduced, waving his hand in Kahlens' direction. 

Kahlen 
"Sometimes I wonder how it happened," Kahlen said to herself. "I prefer French for many reasons."

Auberon
Auberon stood there silent for a moment, tapping his foot on the ground. "Kahlen?"
