She dug in her pocket until her fingers grazed the paper with her locker number and combination on it. She had memorized her schedule already. Em looked up, seeing the two had entered. It was none of her business. She glanced down at the paper and started down the hall to find locker 156.

Kahlen 
Kahlen nodded, looking blankly at somewhere on the ground behind Auberon. Yeah Kahlen calm down now is not the time for another panic attack three in a week is a bit much

Auberon
Auberon placed his finger under her chin, tilting her head up towards him. "Talk to me."

Kahlen 
"What if this year turns out like the last one? I- I can't do that again. And Denver's not going to be here and it's all so different and what if I can't handle it or something happens to him and I'm not there or something happens here and then everyone else is in danger what am I supposed to do then I don't want to deal with any of that monster crap or heaven forbid any of them-" Kahlen cut herself off, dashing the moisture from her eyes. "It's- I'm fine."

Auberon
Auberon listened to her, staring into her eyes with sympathy. "Kahlen, it's fine. Denver's smart- he can take care of himself. As for you-" he paused momentarily, "I know I'm annoying and all, but I can't think of any reason you started dating me if it wasn't for me to be by your side through anything that comes." 

Jess
Jess dropped the tip of her board while shrugging her guitar case onto her shoulder, swerving around a small child tailing a dog and onto the road, spotting the school looming in the distance. She pulled her phone from her pocket, attempting to check the time in between her attempts to also not get hit by a car. Enough time for a coffee? She wondered, but her mind had already been made up as she parked outside of a little allyway cafe, toeing off her scuffed, dirty boots and padding inside in her socks. "Hey, Mars." She called, and the barista looked up, face splitting into a wide grin at the sight of the girl. "Hey Blondie! How's Jenna?" He had already started on her order, so she sat down at the counter seat and smiled back lazily. "Jen's good, she's picking up Simba later. Back at school, today."

Kahlen 
Kahlen nodded gratefully. And that is officially my fourth breakdown. Beginning of the year is off to a great start. "What number is your locker?"

Auberon
"Uh... 72?" Auberon guessed. He couldn't remember completely, and he couldn't deny his mind was elsewhere.

Kahlen 
"I'm sure you don't remember your combination, either." Kahlen sighed. "Just use mine until we're responsible enough to figure it out. Come on."

Auberon
Auberon was pretty sure he had taken that the wrong way, since a spark of resentment decided to make itself known. He stood still for a moment, then looked down at the ground and followed Kahlen, pushing down any anger that threatened to make known itself.

Margot 
She found her locker and put in the combination. Inside was a completely bare space. She put her book inside. "There, now you aren't so empty." She would get all her books for her classes throughout the day. Em stepped back, tilting her head as she surveyed the locker. A smile lit up her face and her hands clasped together. "I know just the things to personalize you. I'll have to bring them tomorrow. Oh-!" From her pocket she pulled a magnet with "Em" written in an artsy print by Georgia. A depiction of the Eiffel Tower stood in the bottom corner reaching to the top on the right side. Em slapped the magnet onto the outside of the locker door. "Perfect. Already looking better."

Kahlen 
Kahlen stopped walking and pressed her lips together in frustration. "And of course I've forgotten everything I was trying to remember. Great start this morning, Kahlen."

Mason
 If anyone would have asked him, Mason would've sworn up and down that he'd been late intentionally; that was in fact not the case. In truth, it'd taken him every bit of the extended time to first find the school and then smoke a cigarette in a semi-secluded spot before finally venturing towards the front doors. He had absolutely no clue what his locker number was, but that was fine - he hadn't brought anything to put in one, anyway. However, an issue of slightly more importance was that, along with not knowing which locker had been assigned to him, he also didn't know his schedule. Did he care? Not particularly. He'd just ask someone. Everyone expects me to know how to use their little magical futuristic rectangle phones. Those aren't phones. You can't tell me that's a phone.

She closed her locker gently so as not to create a loud noise. Once the door clicked into place she started to turn toward the school entrance, but someone tapped her on the shoulder. Em turned and hugged her friend. "Hi, Georgia! Get out your schedule and I'll see if we share classes. Where's your locker?" Em took the paper from her as Georgia searched for her locker sheet. Em scanned her schedule. "We share english but that's it. You got into Culinary Arts. That's great!" Em grinned up at Georgia, who still couldn't find her locker information.
