Jackie
Jackie rushed home, trying her best not to be suspicious. She had finally done the unthinkable! Now she just needed to convince some more people that rebellion was a good idea. Shouldn't be too hard, she though. her mind drifted back to the gray man she ran into. I wonder if he would be willing to rebel...

Mason
"I- Uh- Yeah. Okay. Alright," Mason managed to get out, taking the toddler after a moment of hesitation, though not before shooting Kaylee a halfhearted glare. He repositioned the little girl in his arms before looking back up at John. "So... you're leaving?"

Skye
Even though she tried not to think about it, the night's disaster of a conversation kept replaying in her dreams. "A what?" "A, um..." Ash's crestfallen expression when he realized what she'd been hiding. How he didn't even look at her when she left. Things could have ended differently if only I'd said something- anything.

Ashwin
Ash and Titus apprehended a thief not very long after the start of the shift. Ash had let Titus handle it for the most part, knowing the experience would help him. Ash reported in, asking for an escort to come by and take the criminal to the jail for the night. Once the man was off their hands, Titus and Ash continued down the sidewalk.

She got up, making sure the stolen weapons where fully hidden and there was no evidence of them in her cloak. Once satisfied she slipped through the alleys until she got to a place where she could best observe the least patrolled area of the wall.

John
"Just for a little bit." He promised, shrugging on a plain looking jacket hung with others at the end of the room, glancing at Kaylee guilty, opening his mouth to say something but hesitating, instead leaving through the door and hurrying past the reception, snatching the emergercy kit waiting on the entrance facing desk as Jocelyn held up a finger for him to wait, speaking into the phone nestled between her shoulder and ear. "Hi, Perry. Can you tell us where you are now? We'll send someone over to check on Don and yourself."

Mason
He watched John go, silently begging for him to stay, though no words escaped his mouth. He continued gazing at the now-motionless door for a few moments before turning back to Kaylee, arms subconsciously tightening around Cosette in a protective manner. "Well...," he began, not knowing what to add on to the lone word, so choosing to just leave it hanging in the air alone.

Perry
He shakily told the lady the shop's address, pausing once he was finished to take a deep breath, though it honestly turned out quite shallow. "And, um, it's Porters' Flower Shoppe. Not sure if you've ever heard of us or not, but that's- that's where I'm at."

She stood in her shadowy hiding spot, simply studying the wall for a couple minutes. She then shifted her attention to the guards, when they switched, what each one did on watch. All these things could be key in her getting out.

Kaylee
"....I'll take her, if you want." She rasped, an unnaturally pale hand slithering the covers to weakly attempt at reaching for the two. "It's okay, Mase."

John
After the address was repeated to him, John gave a startled blink. "I know where it is." I was there earlier, for one dying person. They keep doubling in numbers. "I'll be there in five." He huffed to Jocelyn, hiking the collar on his jacket higher as he hurried out of the door, letting himself switch onto autopilot as he made for the store. So. Mason, huh? He finally turned up like she said he would.

Perry
Not sure what to do next, Perry said a quick "thank you" and hung the phone up. He then resorted to pacing the front half of the store, going up and down a few aisles several times each and crossing in front of the front door numerous times, eyes frequently scanning the world outside the glass for any sign of help arriving.

Mason
Mase blinked at her in instinctual shock, holding the child even closer to him before his right mind finally won over his initial reaction. He lessened his grip slightly, silently apologizing to the poor kid. Chill out, Wilkins. Just because you're scared and confused doesn't mean you have to protect this little girl to the extent that an animal would just to make yourself feel better. A pause. That is exactly what I am doing. He mentally shook his thoughts away, blinking once again, this time in an attempt to sort of reset his thought process. "Uh- No, I'm- She's good. It's fine." And no, it's not okay. You're dying, kid. I figure the both of us can only glimpse at death a few times each before it finally takes us, and you've had more than your fair share. He briefly acknowledged that Kaylee could most likely hear his private thoughts, but brushed it off, truthfully not caring at that point if she knew the source of his worry. He chewed the inside of his cheek - a habit he'd picked up years ago - somewhat violently, absently trying to dull down the slew of terrified thoughts racing through his frantic mind.

The shift was going pretty quietly so far. Titus was chatting casually about stuff as they walked, which was helpful to Ash. It was only a short shift, since he had a tagalong, so not much time went by before it was over. Titus and Ash walked to the location where they were to meet up with the next shift's officer. She was already there, a couple minutes early, when they arrived. They had a short exchange and then Ash and Titus split ways, Titus heading home while Ash headed for an all hours library.

Jacob headed home, nodding to a street guard as he passed by. His thoughts drifted back to the girl. She had seemed a bit odd, but he couldn't quite place it.

She watched for a couple more minutes, mentally jotting down all the information she learned. She then turned and slipped back through the alleys where she'd come, staying to the shadows but keeping an easy, calm walk to also help avoid interest.

Skye
Skye ignored the sounds of Sylvia shuffling around in her subconscious and rolled over again. She muttered under her breath when she rolled onto her arm - it hurt real bad when one put their entire bodyweight on it.

Desiree
The rest of her shift was extremely uneventful, and she was glad to go home, where she could doze off without risking punishment.

Inside the library was the familiar scent of books and ink. Ash breathed it in and let some of his stress roll off his shoulders as he headed for the bookcases. Some of these were quite old, and the library was one of the only few he was aware of. It didn't have very many rare books, but that was to be expected from a public library. Not that the library cards were that inexpensive. There was a larger selection here - more than any single collector could hope to obtain in their lifetime. Ash's finger trailed down the slightly dusty spines of a less commonly visited shelf. He pulled one book out and flipped it over, scanning the back cover's short description. Interesting. He tucked it under his arm. It seemed at this library the nonfiction was a favorite, or the children's books. He headed to the nonfiction section and selected a book there as well, bringing both with him to a small nook of seating after stopping briefly at the little table with a coffee machine, mugs, and various fixings. He wasn't quite ready to return home yet, and other than the librarian lounging in a chair behind the counter reading, the library was empty. Ash settled in a chair and flipped open the nonfiction first, sipping at his coffee while he read.
