New Name: Keeping it as Shorty
Why do you want this character: He oddly looks like my old horse named Shorty. I adore the face markings and I love blue eyes. Not to mention the fact that he is a big bulky hunk of a horse XD I love big horses! I also love the dapples.
Small Background: Shorty was bred by humans at Diamond Ranch, but broke free from the stables after a tornado. The Luminescent Herd took him in and helped him adjust to the feeling of being wild.

New Name: Starry Night
Why do you want this character: I love the spacey feeling of the colors and markings. I love the colors used as I'm a huge fan of blue and this horse quite clearly matches my criteria. I'm thinking about starting a herd based off of space and the galaxy and this beauty would be perfect to start off the herd.
Small Background: Starry was born on the planet of Pluto, but eventually he moved to Saturn with his herd. As he got older he decided to leave the herd and try to start his own, bringing him to the planet of Mars. When he was unable to withstand the weather he moved back to Saturn and is still trying to find the perfect mare.

Why do you want this character: I love her colors and markings! The face markings look so great on her! She would also be a great addition to the Space/Galaxy themed herd I am starting and I feel like her and Starry would be great together!
Small Background: Night was born on Mars. She learned how to face the horrible weather and stay there until she was finally old enough to move to Saturn. She is now looking for the right stallion to start a herd.

New Name: Nostalgic Essence aka Essie 
Why do you want this character: I immediately felt a childlike glee when I saw her. She reminds me of cartoons I used to watch as a child and comics I read as a preteen. I'll use her primarily as an HARPG horse on dA in my fantasy herd.
Small Background (mentions my characters): A whinny is what drew Essie away from her secluded dark forest home. It had been many years since she'd even glimpsed another horse. She'd been separated from her herd, after a severe earthquake caused them to split up. Essie galloped towards the sound, she so desired to hear, for many years. She weaved around trees, and bushes; to quicken her pursuit. Light peeked out of the treeline ahead of her, and the whinnying grew closer. Just behind that treeline could be an equine friend. What she so desperately needed. Essie slowed to walk as she approached the barrier, that kept her from the wide world outside of this dark and depressing place. After a deep breath, she crashed through the small gap, and was met with an unbelievable sight. 

She'd stumbled upon a vast valley with mountains in the distance. Everything was bright, and green; birds whistling their favorite tunes in the treetops, scattered around her. Her nostrils were met with the aroma of sakura blossoms, and honeysuckle. She glanced around at her surroundings; before focusing in on the sound that drew her to this place. A string of excited whinnies could be heard in the distance. Essie watched with excitement, and a tinge of fear, as a herd of colourful horses galloped across the valley. 

Her presence did not go unnoticed by the herd, who immediately made a beeline towards her when they spotted her. They stopped in front of her; all of them radiating intrigue. A dark bay mare with stunning blue markings approached her. Her black hair dragged the ground, and Essie noticed butterfly wings behind each ear. "I am Thumbelina, Queen of this valley. Who might you be?" she questioned.

Essie could hardly believe she was standing before an actual herd; let alone them talking to her. "Essie." was her anxious answer.

"Do not be frightened, Essie. We mean you no harm." Thumbelina assured. "What herd do you belong to?" she asked. 

"I am a loner. I got separated from my herd, after the earthquake." Essie answered sadly.

"My dear that was over a decade ago, you still have not found them?" another horse questioned as she approached, and stood next to her Queen. The mare was a great deal taller than Thumbelina, with green coat. Her coat was decorated with the markings of cherry blossoms. A single blaze marked her head, where a horn made of bark was. Her long hair was a dull pink colour, and flowed just past her shoulders. Essie noticed a green budgerigar perched on her back. 

"No, and I have searched everywhere. I fear they may have perished in the earthquake." Essie replied.

"Well, we shall help you find your herd, or aid you in joining a new one." Thumbelina answered. "For now, consider yourself the guest of honour in the Calfuray Herd."  she added turning around, beckoning Essie to follow. 

Essie glanced behind her at the dark decrepit forest she had called home. It only took her that one glance to turn back around, and gallop away with her new friends.

It does say it in my rules on my page, though as I state on there it’s not absolutely mandatory so I can understand people not letting me know if they don’t want to ^^

Current name and link: Frostbite
New Name: Northern Chinook
Why Do You want this character: I love her colouring, it reminds of winter and such and cause I’m a proud Canadian gal I love that, lol. 
Backstory:
Chinook was born in Alberta Canada, in the dead of winter. Her birth was a surprise, she wasn’t expected that night, and so her dam was out in a pasture. She would have froze to death that night if not for a warm Northern Chinook that began to blow. It saved her life, and earned her her name.

New name: Moondance
Why do you want this character: I absolutely love night themed characters, and them eyes just seem to be begging me to take her, lol. 
Backstory:
Moon was born, and promptly rejected by her dam. Without a mother to guide her she withdrew, and lost her will to live. She was on the brink of death when in the night she was brought to an older, wise mare who had recently weaned her colt. Underneath the stars and under the watchful, caring eyes of her new mother for the first time in her short life she felt happy and carefree. She kicked up her heels and happily danced with light of the moon. 

Current name and link: Lightning
New name: Lightning Guard
Why you want him: I love lightning storms, and his marking resemble that, and he also just seems to give off that wildness of a storm. 
Backstory: Lightning was always a rebellious, Wild thing. He did what he pleased, when he pleased, and would fight anyone that tried to control him. One night a storm was rolling in. All the other horses room shelter, but he was defiant and refused to run and hide full the storm. The lightning and its brother thunder roared and flashed, trying to scare him, but he rested up and pawed with his legs, bellowing a challenge at them. Lightning hit a tree next to him, and thunder roared loud enough the ground shook, but he snorted defiantly and reared again. They where impressed with him, made peace. And often they will visit him, and they will flash next to him and bellow in his ears to try and scare him, bit he is not afraid. For his spirit and rebellion is a guard against the lightning.

No problem! I might come back when I have more moolah. It just stresses me out when I start you run out of money XD
