I dont understand which icon that "paper" one is.
I tried view-source but nothing happened.
Changing whether automatic lines wer on or off did nothing more than spce things out or squish them together.

On top of the box for your layout is the editing tools, the one farthest to the right(or possibly on the next line farthest right), looks kinds of like a piece of paper, just a little white square with a folded corner that has lines on it. if you hover over that image the hover text reads View source(ctrl+shift+s), if the image is highlighted white that measns you're viewing the source.
From checking your page compared to the coder's page it looks like you probably pasted the code in without view source on and with automatic lines since the code on your page has a tone of (br /) in it while theirs does not.

Try this out and see if it works for you:
-Start on your page, make use automatic lines is unchecked, delete everythign in your box and save your page. (if you want to keep the words put the text in a notepad file for copying later)
-Copy the original code they sent you, not the one currently in your layout.
-Go back down to the box on your page and make sure view source is on(the paper icon is white, to test you can click on one of the text buttons, like bold, if view source is on, it will display the bbcode for bold, if not nothing will happen until you start typing)
-Paste the code for your layout in the box and hit save.
Once the layout is in and works it shouldn't be affected by whether or not you use view source, at least mine hasn't been, though since there's a style sheet I'd leave off the automatic lines just in case. Style sheets are fussy about spacing.

A full list of all tutorials can be found in the section labelled "Index of Articles" on the main club page. Hope this helps. :)

I've fallen horrifically out of practice for any coding I have ever done.  I still remember a tiny bit of Binary but that doesn't help me much.

Can you use Html code for clubs? And will I be able to edit it ( I'm basic) the owner is my sis, and I normally slowly and painfully sit and do the code. ( however I've been falling to the way side of just using banner makers and the like, as I seem to have accidentally gotten rid of my coding for idiots book)

But I digress the entire internet has lovely become a " coding for idiots book" and its every volume in every code you can think of.  But I'd rather take the lazy route instead of taking four years to make a simple thingy.

I really really need to go back to school.

Anyway. I'm basically now just a " dabbling" digital speed artist. On the level of a five year old have you seen that clubs tag omg. Classical drawing ( pencil and papper in this case) so much better.

So anyway.

Put its like riding a bike so, I figured I'd join. At least to re learn the basic stuff that my brain had lovely ctrl alt delete, end coding task memory files, on me.

Looking for help regarding CSS. I would like to use internal CSS between the following tags <*style> and <*/style> (without the <*s) to make the code more transparent but I just can't make it, anything I do, the code doesn't behave the way it does in a separate html file.
Could somebody please, help me out, what code should I use or what should I do? :(

Yes  Hi I just joined, and I've never coded before, and I wanted to code my profile page, but I don't know how.

Hello everyone!

My name is Snow and I just joined this lovely club with hopes of finding someone who would willingly put up with my newness at coding and teach me how to properly code page layouts and even more. I noticed that the last comment made on this page was back in 2019 and I'm hoping that this club is still busy enough that someone will see my post and offer to help. I've read all the tutorials but was left with so many more questions than answers. So if someone is willing to take me under their wings to teach me how to code, I would appreciate it so much!

Thank you!
Snow
