I have used the coat randomizer on 3-4 of my DWBs, and it seems like most of the time, they keep the exact same genes but only lose gray. Has anyone else noticed this?

Without grey you only get 3 colours so probably just bad/good luck?. I notice with the colour randomiser the genetics pretty much always turn out heterozygous (unless it's a double cream obviously), not that I mind that at all, you get the max potential colours for foals that way. Markings are generally homozygous I've found.

^Ditto what maple said. If you use the coat randomizer on breeds with more color variation, like QHs, you get amazing colors.

^ Yeah. I find I have to have a couple marking randomisers handy because I tend to get the same marking first, say I randomise some TBs, I'll get overo as the first random marking for all of them. I don't know if it still happens but I find I'll get Splash first in Vanners, etc.

I've noticed similar. On Trakes I rarely get the available dilutes, but on my GV's I can't seem to get anything but a double dilute (lol). Like maple said, I also tend to get a lot of Splash for the first marking randomizer I use on my GV's (recently lots of Oo Spsp).
