Design #3
Name: Liberty
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 15.2
Gender: Mare

Color: Black Sabino with Birdcatcher Spots and Gulastra Plume
Genetics: EE aa nSb

Personality:
Naïve, she trusts too much, we could blame it on age but i'm not so sure. Sweet, in an off putting way. You can tell she's trying so hard to win you over and be friends its almost demeaning. Depressed, Liberty isn't as happy go lucky as you would think. Yeah she smiles and is so cheerful its sickening, but she's lonely. Despite her friendly yet desperate attempts to be friends, she doesn't actually like the company, she wants protection for sure, but friendship? I'm not too sure. She's insecure and will badger you with every stupid thought that crosses her mind. It's almost cute. Until its not. Protective to those she thinks of as hers. Whether its a blade of grass of her favourite cow, she'll try her hardest to protect what's 'hers'.

Background Story:
Liberty was found by Altair, she was just minding her own business, until she heard a crash, and a thump, and then a terrified squeal followed by 2 blurs of dun. At this point in time, Altair had just found out that Dandy was her father. Obviously this didn't go down so well between the two of them. Complete opposites, it didn't make sense! Neither knew who the mother was, some say she passed during Altairs birth. Others say she ran once Dandy came back. Altair doesn't know, she doesn't care either, she just wants to get the hell away from him

The little black filly was still watching, up until she heard the fight getting worse. She found a hollow tree to hide, trembling. She hated fighting. She hated violence. She hated how loud and hateful it was. She hated it. Soon enough it quietened down, her eyes fluttering shut, she was tired. It was a long day, she couldn't remember how long she'd been hiding for. As she lost herself in her train of thought she opened her eyes to see two long, dun legs in front of her. Terrified she recoiled back against the tree bark, it could be dandy.
"I won't hurt you"
It was a girl, it must of been the one fighting with Dandy! Liberty pulled herself out from the hollow trunk to stand up and look at the mare in front of her. She was much taller than she thought-
"Weren't you ever taught 'stranger danger'?"
Liberty just stared. What is stranger danger? She had no idea.
"You're not one much for talking eh?"
"No worries, you're lucky I found you! Who knows what sort of creep would have done if they found you. -Hey are you lost or something?"
Yes! Wait, why can't I speak?
"You can tag along with me, I'll keep you safe until we can figure out what to do with you, and hey! Maybe we can get you to talk eventually, I always thought foals would talk your ears off!"
And that was that really, in the end Liberty never left, despite Altair wishing she left her back at the valley all that time ago, I don't think she'd ever give Liberty up. The bond they have is unique. You take what you get in this cruel world and they both seem to hang on tight.

(will proof read another day. I never knew i could write so much xD)

#241401 Posted on 2021-06-17 00:29:43

Design #1
Name: Rowena
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 14.3 HH
Gender: Mare

Color: Chestnut Sabino Splash
Genetics: ee Aa nSpl nSb

Personality:
Although Rowena is extremely smart and curious, she's also naive and has a head for trouble. She's a rambunctious filly who refuses to listen to her elders. Everything must be explored and understood. Rowena can be short-tempered when she's frustrated, which is pretty frequently considering she's usually being told "no". She's headstrong and fearless but will she temper that with wisdom over time?

Background Story:
Since the moment she was born, everything sparked Rowena's interest, much to the chagrin of her mother. Their herd was small but prided itself on caution and vigilance; to have such a reckless foal was to be considered a failure as a parent. No amount of disciplinary nips from her mother could deter Rowena from venturing out to discover her surroundings. She would often wander away from the herd on an "adventure" without notifying the others, so much so that they started to be used to her absence. Normally this would thrill Rowena because that meant that she didn't have other horses calling for her to come home. They all knew she'd be back before the last rays of light sank below the horizon. That's when fate decided to play a cruel hand.

Rowena had ventured out as usual to investigate an exciting new cave she'd never noticed before. There were so many new sights, sounds, and smells to take in that she was practically giddy at her find. In all the wonderment, she didn't hear the baying of dogs in the distance. Wranglers were coming for her herd.

Rough draft part because words + me = nope right now::

Wranglers catch up to the herd, some get caught, the others get away, Rowena tries to get back but stumbles into a snare trap. My RPC Emry finds Rowena while on a trail ride and frees her. Rowena is now left with the question of whether she goes with Emry or does she try to find her herd?

Design #2
Name: Hayze
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 15.2
Gender: Colt/Stallion

Color: Bay Dun Roan Sabino Splash
Genetics: Ee AA Dd Rr nSb nSpl

Personality:
Hayze, while still young is very much a momma’s boy, not wanting to stray far from her side. He is very much a gentle one who can’t even harm a bug. Hayze is also intrigued by the world around him and that just get’s the poor boy in trouble. Often time’s when his curiosity get’s the best of him and little Hayze wonder’s off to go collect flowers for his mother. Hayze is also somewhat of a peacekeeper between the other foals in the herd when they have issues he’s the one to attempt to work it out so everyone can have fun. Other than that his personality is growing by the day.

Background Story:
In the early morning hours of the day, even before the sun had rose. Xenna had separated herself away from the herd she was in. “Yes Toblerone….dear, I’ll tell you when he starts kicking again.” the buckskin paint mare half rolled her brown eyes at her stallion and mate’s antics. Since finding out she was with his foal the two parents to be were as excited as they could be to be welcoming a foal into the herd. Foal’s brought a since of rebirth and renewal for the herd, that the next generation would be stronger than the last.  The buckskin paint mare knew her mate wouldn’t be able to keep calm enough when she went to labor. So the buckskin paint mare separated herself away from everyone.

It took only a few hours, an by noon time a little  buckskin dun colt with his fur still wet was nuzzled up to his mother, enjoying the warmth. The little buckskin colt, blinked his chocolate colored eyes around the large overgrown bushes they were in. The clouds above were, quickly becoming a greyish-black color, an threatening to unleash all of it’s fury down below. Soon, the rain began to fall from the sky, and with the summer humidity a fog was now over the valley the pair was in. The little buckskin colt, only nuzzled closer to the warmth his mother emitted, with the milky scent wafting into his nose and making a sneeze to shake out of his little body.

Meanwhile, back in the herd Toblerone had noticed his mare and mate had disappeared without a warning. The buckskin paint stallion, grew anxious and sniffed the air for any traces of Xenna. The small scent was now wafting into his nose, as he snorted once and set off at a trot to where she was. The scent quickly changing into a strong milky scent as his brown eyes focused through the haze to try to find his Xenna. “Honey…..Xenna are you there?” calling out as he finally saw his mare walking slowly with another pair of legs stumbling behind her. A warmth filling into his chest as he stepped closer to nuzzle Xenna. The proud parents turning to nuzzle their little colt who was still unnamed. “Any name ideas dear?” Xenna gently nipping at his ear an then turning to nuzzle their  newborn son. Toblerone pausing for a breif moment to think. “Well I found you in the haze….an with his mark on his forehead. I think Hayze suit’s him.” An that was how Hayze ended up with his name.

#241407 Posted on 2021-06-17 04:50:12

Design #4
Name: Miku
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 16hh
Gender: female

Color: Seal Brown Tobiano Sabino
Genetics: Ee Ata nTb nSb

Personality: Miku is a social filly, and loves to play with her friends. She is very gentle, and kind. Though since she's still so young Miku isn't far from her mother. Though, the filly can't always play. Her mother is the lead mare, and her father the band stallion. Miku is destined to take her mom's place as lead mare, and find a stallion to lead and protect the herd.
(Minimum of 5 Sentences)

Background Story:
(Minimum of 2 Paragraphs; 5 Sentences Each)

The lead mare by the name Delphina was close to being due. When she knew it was almost time, she left the herd. There was another one or two mares who did the same when they were due. Even though the mare wasn't in labor yet, she wanted to find a place far from the herd, but not too far. She had left a day early, and found a nice area to have her foal. Delphina wanted to get comfortable before she went into labor. A mare was always better off when she felt safe and comfortable.
Then a few hours before dawn, Delphina was just getting into labor. She was young, and this was her first foal, so the pain was intense. By sunrise, a beautiful filly was born. By, the next day the two were heading back to the herd. Pyralis the band stallion, was the first to greet his mate in return. He was shocked seeing the filly behind his mate, "Her name is Miku. She was born during the sunset, and look she has a blue eye," Delphina said.
"She's perfect. Our little Miku." the stallion replied. Miku grew up, and loved to play with the other colts and fillies in the herd when her mom wasn't teaching her about being a lead mare. Yeah she did want to be lead mare, but she hated all this schooling. Can't she just be a foal, and explore? Play? Apparently that's not what a lead mare does according to her mother. Though, when she was old enough, and found herself a mate by the name of Maverick, she was going to be a great lead mare, and everyone would respect her.

Update; Maverick is no longer owned by me, and is now owned by Altair. Just wanted to state that.

#241427 Posted on 2021-06-17 10:06:44

Design #3
Name: Eliena
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 15.1
Gender: Filly/Mare

Color: Black Sabino with Birdcatcher Spots and Gulastra Plume
Genetics: EE aa nSb

Personality:
Shy and naturally curious, Eliena (also called Eli, pronounced like Ellie) tends to keep to herself, her mother and her adoptive father. She has a heart of gold, but her shyness makes it difficult to make friends. She loves to wander through the fields, and is especially interested in butterflies (which is how she got her name). Despite hardship through the first few months of her life, she is a very happy filly, and is completely in love with her adoptive father. A “daddy’s girl” through and through, she will slowly come out of her shell as Raiden shows her the ropes and takes her exploring in her new home.

Background Story:
Born to Arwen, Eli’s father remains a mystery to her. Arwen, her mate, and the rest of the herd had been constantly pushed further and further from their homelands by humans. After years of being chased around, and never really having one spot to call home, the group had finally found a spot they thought they could settle down for a while. After a few months of peace and relaxation, Arwen, and most of the other mares, fell pregnant when they decided things were safe enough to expand the herd. Everything had been going blissfully for the group, until about a month before Arwen would be due to have her foal.

A stormy season had arrived, and this year the storms were particularly intense. The wind and rain was hard enough on the group, but the lighting was striking ground, and the ground current could potentially take out the entire herd if it got close enough. One terrible night, the lighting was getting closer and closer to the herds home, and they had to start moving again. One mare started laboring in the storm, and several others stayed near her to keep her safe. The rest of the herd kept moving. They had to. And then the lightning struck. The laboring mare and all the others who stayed back fell to the ground. Arwen had been in front of the others, and after hearing the crack of the lighting, she heard thuds of falling bodies. As she looked back, she saw her fallen herd mates, and then instantly everything went black.

Arwen awoke some time later, unsure of how long she had been out. She looked around in a panic for her herd, only to see her worst nightmare. All of her herd was gone, lost to the lightning. Unsure of the safety of the foal she carried, she felt a kick, and at least knew her foal was still alive. She took one last look at her lost herd mates, and walked off to begin her journey to survive.

Not long after the events of the storm, Arwen gave birth to a beautiful black filly, that shared her standout facial markings, and had her fathers black as night coat. They wandered through the lands of their home for months, unsure of where they were going, or what they were looking for. Eli had a tendency to frolic through flowers on their journeys, and played with the butterflies. This is how she got her name, which is a type of butterfly. One day, they saw another horse in the distance. He was an ornery, feisty stallion, with a roaned out coat. They approached him cautiously. At first, Raiden was pretty standoffish, and not extremely welcoming. But then he laid eyes on this little black filly, who had a butterfly sitting on her nose, and something inside him stirred. His heart melted. It was a feeling he didn’t understand, but he knew he had to protect this little filly.

Raiden and Arwen began to form a very intense bond, and he was completely in love with Eli. He taught her everything he could, and took her everywhere he could think of. The little group quickly became a family, and Eli had Raiden wrapped around her little hooves. They met other horses, and slowly but surely Eli, Arwen, and Raiden began to form their own small herd, as they journeyed through the lands and searched for the perfect spot to call home.

Design #3
Name: Ashera
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 14.3
Gender: Filly/Mare

Color: Black Sabino with Birdcatcher Spots and Gulastra Plume
Genetics: EE aa nSb

Personality:
Ashera is bold and courageous with a very playful attitude. She has many curiosities of the world around her and simply wishes to take a great adventure. She tends to view the world in a highly optimistic manner. When in conversation, Ashera is sassy, considerate, and sociable. Her actions are most often led by what her heart is telling her rather than the rationality of what her brain tells her which is what often gets her into trouble. Her sidekicks and friends tend to tell her she has her head too far in the clouds, yet this doesn't stop Ash from perusing her heart's most wanted desires. Because of Ash's dreamy attitude, she makes an amazing storyteller and enjoys grabbing attention of an audience by telling her tales of mostly fantasy to them.

Background Story:
It was an awful storm that night. Ash could barely hear her mother's voice over the strong wind and the loud cracks of thunder. ''Mama,'' Ash yelled, her voice deafened by the wind. A streak of lightning struck a tree just beyond the open field they were traveling through. She was trying to stick close to her mother, but the lightning had spooked the entire herd and now they were all scrambling to find shelter, everyone bolting in different directions. Ash blindly followed the shadowy figures of the herd, her spindly foal legs trying to keep up. The pelting rain soon lessened as Ash entered the cover a trees. She shook the rain droplets from her fur and blinked, letting her eyes adjust to the darkness. ''Mama, wh-where are you,'' she yelled into the night, hoping that her mother's gentle voice would answer. There was no answer. In fact, she didn't even spot the rest of the herd. A trembling fear begin to settle in her stomach but Ash shoved it away. 'Maybe they had just wandered a little further,' she thought. Ash took a few steps further into the cover of trees, calling out once more for her mother, or anyone in her herd to answer. Still nothing. Ash decided in that moment that she would find somewhere to stay put because when in doubt, stay in one place and maybe someone would find her instead of the other way around. She found a thicket of dense vines intertwined with an ancient log that created a nice shelter. It was decently dry and created enough protection that Ash wouldn't be found by lurking predators easily. She watched and waited for someone to stumble upon her but could hold on longer to the pull of sleep.

Ashera startled awake when she heard the loud rustling of dry leaves and a twig snap. Her eyes wildly looked around, a hopeful feeling that it was her mother that had found her. Instead, her eyes landed on a fox steadily creeping towards her. Ash held her breathe, not sure what to do. Would the fox spot her and attack her, making Ash into a nice morning meal? The fox moved closer, slowly lifting its head and locking eyes with Ash. There was a mere moment of silence before the fox slowly tilted its head and something that seemed like a grin appeared on its face. ''Why, hello there little one. What are you doing hiding in there?'' Ash blinked at him for a moment, not sure what to say. ''Oh forgive me, where are my manners? My name is Arvi.'' The fox paused for a moment as if waiting for Ash to say something, yet she stayed silent. ''Don't worry, I'm not going to turn you into Thanksgiving dinner,'' Arvi joke when Ash stayed silent, ''What's your name kid?" Ash, in her new found confidence, finally spoke, ''Ashera. I go by Ash.'' The sly grin appeared on Arvi's face, happy to get the young filly talking. ''I've lost my herd in the storm last night.'' The sly grin disappeared only to be replaced with a look of pity. ''Well why don't you come along with me and I'll help you search for them.'' Ashera slowly stood and with a little hesitation, she began to follow Arvi out of the protection of the thicket.

Design #2
Name: Bo
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: 14.5hh
Gender: Male

Color: Bay Dun Roan Sabino Splash
Genetics: Ee AA Dd Rr nSb nSpl

Personality:
Bo is highly intelligent and emotionally in-tune with those around him. He is always the first to notice when someone's feelings shift negatively and he tries to turn things around. Even though he is so in-tune with others, he struggles to understand his own emotions, so he is often quiet and introspective. Losing his parents young, he was forced to grow up quickly. While he is typically well mannered and respectful, he is very high energy and will act up if he is not given physical and mental exercise very regularly.

Background Story: Trent swore under his breath as his tractor ground to a halt. AGAIN. The cursed machine was constantly breaking down when he needed it most. He clambered outside, kicking one of the massive wheels in frustration. He was never going to get the field cut in time to be baled and sold.

Putting his hands on his hips, he gazed out over the remainder of the straw to be cut. His eyes eventually settled on a flattened-looking area not too far from where he was standing. Feeling slightly better about the tractor breaking down, he went to have a peek. In all of his years out here, he knew that it was common for deer to hide their fawns in the tall grass while they looked for food. He had heard many stories of folks who didn't see the critter in time. It was a sad thing, but common. At least one good thing could come out of the inconvenience of a dead tractor. Pushing his way through the grass, he finally caught a glimpse of the furry shape that was flattening the grass and was surprised to see that it wasn't a fawn at all, but a colt.

The foal lifted his head and looked at Trent appraisingly, his ears swiveling back and forth. He had been there a while already and was weakened but his eyes still held a challenging light in them. Trent inched forward slowly and the colt made no effort to move. Whether he was too exhausted or just didn't care, Trent didn't know. The foal didn't object too much to being picked up, though he did snort in surprise. Trent carried him back to the tractor and was able to set him down on the seat beside him before climbing back out to see if he would be able to fix the dang machine. It ended up being an easy, but eyeroll-inducing repair. A hose that had already popped off several times had popped off again. Once it was reattached, he was able to get the old rust-bucket back to the barn.

Later, once the foal was fed and cared for, Trent watched him sleep in the makeshift stall he had fashioned him. He hadn't kept horses in years but he knew that he was suckered in already. He named the little colt Bo after his father's old cattle horse from years past. He hoped it would mean the colt would be reliable and would help him get things done around the ranch. Little did he know how much trouble Bo would bring once his energy was back.

Design #4
Name: Khonsu
Age: 6 Months (can change later with adult ref)
Breed: Mustang
Adult Height: (Up To You)
Gender: (Up To You) Filly

Color: Seal Brown Tobiano Sabino
Genetics: Ee Ata nTb nSb

Personality:
Khonsu is a very friendly little filly. She takes a while to open up and be confident, as she’s really Quiet and shy. Despite her shyness, she can be stubborn and strong headed (thank goodness) because she needs that to stay determined, to do what she needs to do. She is very loving and very protective of her friends and family. She’s dealt with a lot from early on so you can see wisdom in her soft eyes.

Backstory:

From the day she was born and her mother, the other horses and even the humans saw her; she knew she was different. Everywhere she is met with gasps of shock and awe. The human that feeds her and mum is very nice. She coos and pats and plays with her. She tells her all about her name ‘Khonsu’ from the young moon god of Egypt and the pretty moon shape on her forehead: She tells her she’s special. She knows she looks unusual, she stands out. But she doesn’t want to. She’s shy and would love to simply be ‘normal’. She is quiet by nature and sticks close to her trusted friends. She loves deeply and is fiercely protective. Defending others is the only time she gets loud and boisterous, overcoming her shyness.

She has experienced being singled out, so when groups of humans come to visit, she finds the ones like her. She hears the humans say things about ‘Disabled’ and ‘Special needs’. She just sees cool new friends who need protection and love. You see, she has heard the same words from her special human... something about her hips. Things she’ll never do, never be. It doesn’t mean much to her, she’s just happy to be with her friends, Janie and Phoenix (the two best ponies in the world). But don’t you dare forget Basil, TJ and Tam her kitty friends! Her friends are her whole world.
