Tag Credits Help?

#218691 Posted on 2020-02-27 02:22:50

I mostly finished my first pixel tag (on GIMP). But I can't finish it because I cannot for the life of me get my credits on there! I just want to write, probably, Coco #112043 or something simple like that. It needs to be credited (obviously XD) for me to sell recolors. I would greatly appreciate help - I've been trying the text tool but it only comes up as small pixels not quite resembling the letters. I'm pretty sure the problem is 150x150 pixels is too small for words to appear, and I'm sure there's a solution ...
Thank you so much! ♥

Hello Coconut!
I usually just use a pixel brush and hand pixel in the letters/numbers for credits. The text when sized down often looks blurry, but if you can find a pixel font sometimes they look better when small. There's some settings that can help clear up your text on most programs, but I'm not sure what the gimp one is.

For pixel letters/numbers I usually use 4-5 pixels high and try to make them resemble the letters however works best. Coco should be fairly easy since o's and c's are just a little box in pixels!
If you create a transparent file with your copyright on it it's easy to copy and paste it on any art you do in the future as well!

I actually have a question along these same lines.

I've found some lineart that I'd like to use for tags, the problem is how to credit the tags when they're so small and require the artist's credit as well?

ETA:: The original artist is no longer on dA, and the person who made the lines from that art (which was allowed by the OA) has not been active in years. Should I just avoid using these lines?

@Mouse
What I do is just put the creator of the lines name at the bottom. Even if they already have a tiny credit. I normally will use their username, and write that at the bottom.
