These are drop dead gorgeous, and as much as I want one, there's no way I can compete with Maple, Sara and Cat.

I don't think you can actually sell these. Even though you pulled them from a website that offers free desktop backgrounds, I recognize a lot of them as artwork pulled directly from deviantART that I'm pretty certain is not actual stock.

Take the pegasus wallpaper here for example. It's a piece originally done by Losmios on Deviantart. And she only listed it as desktop use only - not to be edited, etc. So that being said, seeing as you don't know the original origin of the background you're using, I would advise against selling these. Just saying >o>

As the source I pulled this photo from may potentially not be the origin, I will have to do some more thorough searching to see if it is indeed not the photo's origin. Because if that's the case and the photo is being advertised as free to use but in fact came from somewhere else originally that I'm unaware of, where those rules are prohibited, then yes, you are right.

PS - in the future, it's always courteous that you contact the person privately about these matters. Just saying.

_{^ I'd much rather see that public information to make judgement on whether or not I should keep my bid on things. I wouldn't want to lose something I dropped a lot of money on (even fake) later on if it was found to be infringing on copyright and the seller continued the sale. I managed to somehow miss the fact it wasn't your own bg (since I hate buying f2u anything) but overlooked it since you did state it in the post unlike some people. So until the origin's confirmed, I'm gonna withdraw my bid for now.}

I have had no luck finding the origin of the background photo I've credited, so perhaps the site I pulled it from IS the origin. Regardless, if there is potential that it was taken from another site that infringed on the original creator's rules, I don't want to run the risk of breaching the copyright, even if unintentionally.

So will offer a free recolor to the two highest bidders so that I'm not earning a profit off of art whose rules may be misleading:
