River looked up at the tall, dark wolf a moment. A small smile moved across her face. "I found a place." She stood and padded towards a large log, laying sideways. "It's hollow," she called to Crow. "Very large." She had stood up on her hind paws in there and was almost able to stand up like that the whole way. Crow should fit.

Crow looked over to where River had gone "ok, it looks warm and dry it should do" he walked over and entered the log, he laughed as she was standing on two paws she looked goofy to him as she stood in the log "well I'm beat and ready for bed, how about you" he went in circles before laying down.

River laughed and settled down too. She was close, but not too close to him. They weren't touching. And River felt comfortable in that log. She wasn't scared or upset, she wasn't mad at another creature. Crow wasn't like that cat she had seen earlier. She smiled to herself as she slipped into sleep.

The night was cold. Colder than she thought. River woke with a start, shivering. It had only been a short while since she fell asleep. She forced herself back into the comfortableness sleep gave her.

(hope you don't mind us going to night?)

Crow hadn't gone to sleep right then and there, he watched as the sun set thinking back to when he had been in the mountains and what happened up there. He had lost his sister from a hunting accident,he sighed as he slowly fell asleep to the sound of crickets chirping.

He woke up at the sound of an owl he wasn't use to hearing them, he looked over at River as she slept peacefully next to him and smiled. He was indeed glad that they met, he now had friend and perhaps something more.

(yea its fine :) )

River woke again. She looked to Crow and found him awake. "It's cold," she whispered. "I bet you don't notice," she said, giggling, eying his thick fur. Her fur was thick too, but she tended to chill easily. She, too, was glad to have found a friend in Crow. No one will bother me again about being without a pack with him by my side. With this thought, her mind wandered somewhere she had tried to keep it from. Could I spend the rest of my life with Crow? She smiled. I could. He's a nice friend. Friend. The word was like the best meats, the sweetest water after days of thirst.

Crow looked over at River and smiled "yea I don't get cold that often" he slowly and casually mover closer to her so she would be warmer, he looked back outside and at the full moon he loved it when the moon was full it was so beautiful to look at. As he was looking at it he smiled again and thought of the fun he had with River that day.

River at first wanted to pull away from Crow, but her eyes got heavy and she was almost asleep. "The moon is gorgeous," she mumbled before slipping into sleep. Tomorrow would be a good day. They would look for a home. Her eyes popped open as she recalled something she hadn't thought about before. "There's a pond connected to this stream we were at today. There might be a cave or something back that way. We should look at it tomorrow."

Crow laid his head down "it is isn't it" he yawned as he closed his, he didn't really have a plan for the tomorrow then again he never did have any plans for anything. Without opening his eyes he said " all right that's sound good to me, now lets gets some sleep" he yawned as he spoke, not long after that he fell asleep.

River closed her eyes, but couldn't sleep at first. She opened her eyes, lay there awake, looking at the moon. Finally, her eyes closed on their own and she drifted to sleep.

Crow woke up to the sun in his face, he stood up and stretched before looking toward River to see if she was awake. It didn't see like it so headed to the river for a drink, after drinking the cool water he sat down.He thought of what River had said about looking for a home together. did that mean that she wanted to stay with him forever or just until she found a pack of her own.

(hope you don't mind that I went to morning)

River stirred in her sleep. Sunlight streamed into the cozy log she had spent the night in with Crow. She looked out and found him sitting by the river. She stood up and stretched, gave herself a shake, and padded down to join him. "Good morning," she said brightly, walking to the bank and dipping her head down to lap up some water. The cool liquid felt good on her dry mouth. It washed the tangy taste from the night off her tongue. She looked back to the large wolf behind her. "Ready to go?" She wasn't hungry this morning, but Crow might be. If so, she would catch some fish real quick so that they could head out as soon as possible.

Crow looked over and slightly wagged his tail "good morning" he waited until she finished with her drink. "um not quiet I'm a little hungry" he looked down at the fish and back at River. "you don't mind do you? I could try again but then we'd be here a little longer" he gave nervous smile unsure if she'll catch a fish for him or not, he quickly looked back down at the fish as swam around in the water.

River giggled. "I was just thinking about that. I'll grab you a couple fish and then we'll head downstream." She watched an exceptionally large fish that had wandered close to the bank for a minute before lunging and coming up with it in her mouth. "Here's one," she said, opening her jaw and watching as it jumped around for a bit. She turned back to the water. "Tell me when you eat it. I'll try to catch another."

Crow looked down at the big fish that was now in front of him "mmm thanks", he took a bite out of the fish licking his lips it didn't take long for him to finish it. He looked up and smiled " you don't have to catch another one, that first one was enough for me" he looked in the direction of the pond "shall we go"

River stumbled back, another fish in her mouth. "Too late," she said, laughing. "I'll eat this one." It was small, and she gulped it down quick. "Let's go," she said, smiling.
