Aesthetic Changes (PLUS dark mode)

my laptop doesn't actually have a dark mode that applies universally to websites. though i can greyscale my phone, the white on apps and sites is still too bright with my light sensitivity, which is why i use dark modes on apps that offer it as it's much kinder on my head. turning on dark mode would be optional (same with using different colors), so i do think a dark mode would make the site more accessible and benefit a lot of people.

All of the examples so far will trigger migraine attacks for me. They are too bold, even in the dark mode. If this idea does get implemented, I hope that the devs will create softer/muted colors for those that are sensitive to colors. 

Personally, I love the tan part of the EV's current layout it's soft and easy on my eyes. Green isn't bad, a little bright but it's manageable. Ideally, I would keep the tan part, make green a little more muted, and turn the white into something softer like Ivory or something.

That is a lot better then what I could come up with. I know the examples that I posted are too bright (as I've said before) but it was just too try and get my point across, and the best I could do in photoshop. Thank you for posting that River :)

i like this idea but i wish that you could color code your horses (so like there names would be colored )

I personally wouldn't use the colour changes, I don't mind the site colours being "boring". A formal dark mode would be good though.

I use the chrome extension "Dark Mode" to switch things to colours easier on the eyes - would strongly recommend anyone who has issues with the light to get that. It doesn't work perfectly on EV (doesn't preserve the alternating colours when listing horses) but it's a lot better than nothing. Worth getting for using outside of EV anyway (e.g. reading anything on a website with a white background and black text).
