So I know there is a thread somewhere where we can share our equine friends... but I thought it would be nice if we could introduce some of our other four-legged friends!

This is Trooper* at 8 weeks old. Trooper is a rescue.. got him from our local pound.. as far as we know, he is Pure German Shepherd! ♥ (*as in Storm Trooper...my husband & I are HUGE Star Wars Nerds♥)

Trooper - 14 weeks (Current)

This is D'Artagnan... my Siamese rescue baby♥ In this first picture, he was 5 weeks old.. already weaned, on solid food, and was the last of his litter to leave... so his siblings went even YOUNGER!! As far as I know, he is 3/4 Siamese & 1/4.... Something lol

Here is D'Artagnan (Dart) in a more recent photo... he is 2 1/2 now :)

Brotherly "Love"

What kind of Non-Horsey pets do you all have??

I have:

1) One dog (German Shepherd/Black Lab/Beagle mix) named Kolby Jack that I got from the animal shelter at 9 weeks old. He is now 7 months old today. :)
Kolby Ko

2) Two cats (Black and Gray Tabby) named Paisley and Cinders.
Cinders and his sister

3) One Bright blue Betta fish named Shell. Have had him for almost three years.

4) Twenty-four chickens, ranging from Rhode Island Reds, Black Sexlinks, Barred Rocks, Ameraucana's, and Silkies. :) 3 roosters and 21 hens and pullets. Sure get the eggs; at least nine or ten a day.

I have a dog, a cat and 1/2, and more chickens than I'd like. o.O

My dog's name is Lucy. She is a rescue from our local pound. She is a bully breed mix we think. Supposedly 1 yr. old but we have a suspicion she may be older because of the silver around her mouth.

I also have a cute calico girly cat named Zoe. She is an outdoor-only cat (though she doesn't like to think so, sneaking in all the time bad kitty). She is 8 or 9 years old. No pictures, sorry.

My 1/2 cat isn't dead. That's just a phrase we say. His name is Joey, and he is a black and white tom. He's always in a rough, I'm-a-wild-tom-and-yet-I-still-stick-around type of state. Sometimes he comes home with a scratch or two (once he came home with a torn ear, another time with a limp). He's a tough little fellow (and one of my favorite cats out of all the ones we've had). He's barely ever home as he comes and goes a lot (especially in this warmer weather).

We have tons of chickens. o.O A rooster (Rico) and some hens.

My dog Casey who we believe is a purebred Border Collie and Leonidas aka Leo Purebred Siamese. I swear he is a dog, I mean look he is eating a dog bone and knows how to sit when commanded for goodness sake. Both rescues. Casey from pound and Leo was an outdoor kitten.

Bane is a Beagle mix (I don't have time to list what else he is mixed with). He is allergic to everything including dog and dander. Yes, he is allergic to himself and me. Was apart of an emergency c-section.

Ignore my sisters face covered in red XD Any who this is Jack. He is a Aussie/ German Shepard mix. He has one blue and one brown eye. No tail. He is a rescue from a pound.

I have a rat and 2 fish after that. Not really interesting but 1 fish has a black "mustache"!

Haha ohhh this is just asking for trouble!

Meet my goofball of a dog, Baxtor (or as Frosted calls him, Baxtor Boy). He's a 2.5 year old Goldendoodle who is like my soul mate. ♥ To say I have an obsession with him would be putting it lightly xD.

Chickens are messy. o.O You cannot even begin to imagine the mess of having these birds strutting around the place and relieving themselves everywhere and anywhere...

Hence why I give them almost a full acre to strut their stuff in; but do they appreciate it? No.................. They jump out and strut around everywhere else. *rolls eyes* Need to get an actual gate and put it up on the gate posts.

Oswin - Silver around the muzzle area isn't always an indicator of age. My Greyhounds had it too and they were a yearish. xD

As far as my pets...

I've got a nearly 4 y/o Shetland Sheepdog x Maltese mix. He's overweight right now (working on trying to get him back down, if exercise doesn't help I'll be bringing him in to get checked out) but at healthy weight he weighs about 30-35lbs.

He enjoys the snow...

And then we have a 2 year old Pekingese. I'm not ashamed to admit, he was a rather "spur of the moment" dog. We were looking for a dog, but were struggling to find one in the area that was within our price range. So his litter popped up on a site, and so after looking into it a bit, we got him. And I'm sure glad we did. He is the happiest, funnest dog we've had and everyone just adores him and he adores people. My Sheltie mix is very antisocial compared to him.

*please excuse the mess in the car. I keep a lot of horse stuff in it...*

We'll be moving soon to a bigger place, and hoping my landlord will allow me to get a caged pet. I love my dogs and my horse, but I love having a little critter too. While I'd ideally have a bird, I don't think it's the smartest option right now. So highly considering a guinea pig. I've had one in the past, and my nephew adores them so he could learn to take care of him when he's over. xD

Besides our horses we have...

Six dogs

Copper
A 4 yo Male Irish Setter. With quite the story to go along with him. Though, for now I'll just say, this. He could win a "Biggest Goofball/Dummy Award".

Copper and Cody watching TV.

Copper, Cody, and I sleeping.

Copper the day we brought him home.

Cody Bear
A 2 1/2 yo Male Beagle. A huge trouble maker, but he makes up for it with all his sweetness. Oh, and don't forget cuteness.

Helping me pick up sticks, to put in the burn pile. Yes, that is Copper's nose.

Cody with some tinsel on his nose.

Cody and Cleo, proving cats and dogs can get along.

Pumpkin
A 10(ish) yo Female Rottweiler x Australian Shepherd mix. She was a rescue. We found her on our driveway, and she immediately hopped in our car. Pumpkin had a collar embedded in her neck. My mom managed to get it out, and she healed up nicely. We never had to take her to the vet, mom always knew just what to do. She doesn't even have a scar. Pumpkin is a very hardy dog, and protects our other animals from coons, rats, alligator turtles, and more. She's even alerted us to poisonous snakes. We owe her for a lot of things.

She's not a demanding dog, she's appreciative of everything we do for her. Pumpkin is also the mom to all our younger dogs. Especially Cody, if he even yelps, she comes rushing over. We've had her for about 9 years now.

At the moment she is badly injured due to our neighbor's black lab. I'll have to post about that later.

Scooby
A 14 yo Male Long Haired Chihuahua. He's nearly deaf, and is slowly going blind, and he has heart failure. It's just heartbreaking. But, he is an old boy, we've had him since he was a tiny puppy. Scooby isn't your typical Chihuahua, he's a sweetheart, and will let others pet him. He loves all three of us, not just my mom.

Ignore the alien eyes lol.

Lacy
A 8(ish) yo Female Toy Poodle. She's such a cute, sweet girl.

Her and Gingersnap. That's the most recent picture I have of her.

I'll add the others in a bit. I have to help my dad bring groceries in.

SUPERRRRR photo heavy... tehehe

Elvis is my baby. I love him more then I love my hubby, and my hubby knows it. He's 10 years old this year, and is a black and tan coonhound mix.

Bruce is technically my husband's lab (we think boxer) mix. He's 2.5 years old

Ariel(green collar in some, pink in others) and her sister Merida(yellow collar in some, blue in others) are 1.5 years old right now.

Epic is my 7 year old netherland dwarf rabbit. She's a little diva.

Sibling love

My kids ♥♥♥
