Diva was munching on some hay when she heard a loud bang. She looked up interrupted from her meal. She snorted loudly and looked at Princess as she turned around facing the opposite way in her stall. Diva's name suited her as the others did not really like her because of her attitude. She didn't mind though. After a few moments Diva started to finish up her meal when a mouse got into her stall.
"And what do you think you are doing in my stall?" asked Diva looking at the mouse. The mouse froze as he knew about Diva's attitude from listening to the others. Diva stood tall looking at the mouse waiting for an answer. The mouse would not speak. Before the little mouse knew it he was flying as Diva stomped her hoof firmly.
"I-I didn't m-mean to get into y-your stall I'm s-sorry," he said. Quickly the mouse ran out of the stall and a little ways further before stopping to catch his breath. "Phew that was close, " he said to himself once he caught his breath. In the meantime, Diva turned back around and looked out of her stall.
"Now where is that lazy cat?" she said looking around giving a loud snort. "Are there going to be anymore interruptions?" she asked, "I'm hungry and I'd like to finish my breakfast." After a minute or two Diva turned back around and finished her specially made meal and she was glad that she wasn't bothered anymore.

Snow had been busy with her hay when she heard the commotion in the stall next to hers. She lifted her head and blinked at Diva lazily. She was about to go back to eating until she saw the mouse that had managed to sneak its way into Diva's stall. She snorted and flicked her tail, watching as the mouse ran away. "Well, that was quite the scene" She went back to her breakfast.
Snow was a very social mare, but she wasn't feeling in the best mood right now. Recently, she'd been bought buy a human, along with some other horses, and was set to become a racing mare. She didn't have a problem with that, of course, but the whole move had put a damp in her mood. She knew the only way she would feel better was to get out of her stall, out into one an open field and galloping with the wind in her mane. She guessed that wouldn't happen for a while. Although she didn't know humans very well, still being very young, she guessed they would continue her 'breaking in' process and train her with the other slower gaits first.
That didn't make her feel any better. Still, it was a step up from being cooped up in the stables. She neighed loudly and stomped around in her stall, hoping someone would hear and come to let her out. "Where is a rider when you need one?" She stopped momentarily to take a breather before going back to her little tantrum.

Diva finished her meal when she watched the mare next to her. At least she wasn't the only one with a attitude. "Where's the barn cat when you need it?" Diva said sarcatiscaly. "Those humans don't control us, we control them" Diva said firmly. She could feel all the other mares staring at her as she pawed the ground and snorted loudly. She swished her tail sassy like. She then had an idea. Diva turned around in her stall and the next thing you knew, she was bucking at the stall door.

Snow's tantrum came to an abrupt stop as she saw Diva begin to kick at her stall door. "What-what are you doing? Don't you think you're taking it a bit too far?" She asked. "If you break the door, the humans will be mad at you, not that I have any objection to making them mad. But... maybe we should take it easy, we're still new here."
Although Snow wanted to get out and gallop freely, she didn't want it to be at the expense of any yelling or other things the humans might do if they got mad. She didn't think it to be a good idea. This is gold coming from me, she thought. Snow looked at the barn door, expecting someone to walk in immediately and start yelling at them.

"What does it look like I'm doing, I'm getting outta here!" Diva said snorting louder than she usually does staring at the mare. "You can stay here fine by me," she continued on bucking until it finally broke. Unfortunately for Diva, Dozer had watched her and went to go get Alaina her owner. By the time Diva was galloping out of her stall Alaina, Dozer, and the others were by the stable door holding their arms up as Diva came to a sliding stop rearing in front of them. She then began pawing the ground and snorted loudly. All eyes were on her.
Diva backed up and then galloped towards them. At the right moment she jumped. Once she landed she felt the lasso wrapping around her neck. "Oh come on!," she neighed. She was forced to stop as she reared. It was Charlotte who had threw the lasso. Diva was put in a new stall in front of Snow. Diva stood there constantly pawing the ground.

Snow watched the whole ordeal in the tightness of her stall. She gave out a sharp snort and threw her head to the side. "I warned you, didn't I? Now the humans are more wary of you. The next time you try to escape, they'll be ready" She flicked her tail and took a few steps forward until her head was above the stall door. She looked right at Diva and bobbed her head up and down.
"When are these humans going to come get us? I'm seriously concerned I'll start cramping" She looked at the barn door again, but when she noticed there was no one coming, she took a few steps back and turned to face the wall. Such drama, and only to get put into another stall? She thought to herself.

Diva just gave the mare a harse look once she stopped pawing the ground. "I don't need a warning," she snapped harshly. She just doesn't get it. She knows nothing about me. She thought to herself. Diva calmed herself which she usually never does. Diva sighed and turned around in her new stall.
An hour later Diva's jockey and trainer came in. Aswell, as Alaina and one of the grooms. Diva's trainer opened her stall and she let them walk her out, "Has she ever been this calm?" asked James.
"Not since I bought her," replied Alaina as she attached a lead rope to Snow's halter leading her out of her stall. The two of them led the two horses to get tacked up.

Snow followed Alaina out of the stall, glad to have a chance to move around. As the owner led her out, Snow would stop at random and refuse to move as she tossed her head back and forth. She would look around, acting all skittish from excitement. She had been itching to get out and into the sun, to gallop in a large field until she couldn't anymore, until she had to stop to munch on some soft grass. She knew that wouldn't happen, of course, but a mare could have hopes, right?

Once Diva was tacked up Hernando got up onto her. This would be the 5th time he would ride the mare. Diva kept calm which was very unusual for her. Hernando led her to the track as Diva felt her bloodlines pumping through her veins. Diva was put into the starting gate as well as Snow. The gates opened and Diva bolted out. She went straight to the fence and was in the lead. Though, this was only training.

Snow let out a sharp neigh as she bolted out. She didn't pay attention to her rider, and instead settled on trying to keep up with Diva. Although she got a slow start, she focused more on saving her energy for the final stretch. She kept a steady, smooth pace and ignored everything but her own heartbeat and the sound of her hooves thundering beneath her. Slow and steady wins the race. If Diva keeps up her speed, she's sure to get tired out eventually, and then I can take the lead.

Vinn and Nia preferred to use the track in the early morning before the other horses arrived. Vinn loved being in a crowd, but she knew all too well things could get overwhelming fast when she and Nia had to avoid other horses just to train. They trained on an empty stomach, took nice, cool baths, and went to get breakfast. Vinn liked the solid routine, with just her and Nia-time. After Vinn has her breakfast and a full stomach though- is a different story.
Nia turned Vinn out into a small run so she could go get her breakfast and Vinn watched as two other fillies trained. The horses, Snow and Diva, appeared to be racing each other. Vinn wished she could too, after all, it had been a hot second since she had raced her friends. Vinn's attention was stolen by a squirrel that ran nearby, and eventually to Nia, who was returning with grain and a muffin. Vinn went in for the muffin, but Nia pulled back, giggled, and hung up the bucket of grain. "Not so fast, silly Vinn," she squeaked out between laughter. Vinn perked her ears and dug into her breakfast, dancing while she ate.

She has no idea of what I'm capible of Diva thought as she stayed in the lead. Diva watched Snow behind her as Hernando had her slow down just a little. The two mares were getting close to the final turn and the stretch.  Diva went as close as she could to the fence making the tightest turn possible. As the two made the turn Diva looked at Snow and said, "Cya," as she bolted along the final stretch.
As Diva crossed the line Hernando had her slow down. He was shocked, "I didn't do anything, that was all her. I never knew she had that in her. She has a lot of potential." James the trainer had watched the whole thing. Once the two horses were slowed down Diva gave Snow a look then turned and walked back to the stable.
The groom untacked Diva and led her to the mare pasture. Diva bucked and galloped into the pasture once the groom unattached the lead rope from her halter. Diva slowed down and noticed Vinn not too far in front of her. Diva walked a farther distance away as she preferred being by herself. Which worked well cause the other horses wanted nothing to do with her cause of her attitude and rudeness.

Vinn spun around at the sound of Diva behind her. Vinn didn’t mind Divas overloaded-blunt-no-filter attitude, she could get along with almost anyone. “Diva, nice run! You lost Snow on that last turn, I thought she’d had you beat then.” Vinn trotted toward Diva as she was rambling on, and flicked her tail obliviously. After giving her congratulations, Vinn trotted away to find Nia or Snow. She stood by the gate, calling out to anyone who’d listen. “Nia, Niaaa, how about a dip in the pond? Then a race!” Vinn was needy, but quite low class. She didn’t care about having the fanciest items, or the cleanest legs either. When Nia didn’t come, Vinn decided she should just find a mud patch to roll in instead. The mud transferred over to the white patches on her coat fairly well, and Vinn was satisfied with the muddy mess she had created. When she was finished, she waited as near the stables as she could get, oblivious to she appalled looks of passerby groomers.

"Could've left her in the dust even more," Diva said in a rude tone as she stood tall and gave a sassy tail swish looking at the mare. Diva walked off as she wasn't a very social horse. Diva found a nice patch of grass to graze and started to graze. She grazed for awhile until she was interrupted. She looked up at Vinn to see the mare rolling in the mud. Aren't we supposed to be race horses? Racing in the big races. I would never roll in the mud like that, it's silly and unprofessional Diva thought as she immediately went to go focus on something else.
Diva stood tall and proud her mane flowing in the wind as she looked around. If there was one thing Diva liked it was being alone and having no interruptions. She moved her ear hearing the gate open. It was Charlotte the groom and Dozer one of the ranch dogs. Charlotte tried her best to not look at Vinn since of how dirty she was. Glad I'm not assigned to groom that horse she thought.  Charlotte came walking over to Diva with Dozer by her side. "Come on girl it's OK. Time to get you groomed, " she said a bit hesitant due to earlier with Diva breaking out of her stall and jumping over everyone.
Diva eventually let Charlotte attach the lead rope to her halter as she walked boldy as Charlotte led her out of the paddock. Charlotte led Diva back into the stable and tied Diva up. Diva hated to be tied up, but she didn't mind a good grooming and Charlotte wasn't so bad of a groom. Charlotte walked off to grap her grooming kit and came back. "First, let's give you a shower," she said as she began to get Diva's beautiful grullo tobiano coat wet. After awhile Diva's coat seemed as though it was shimmering.
Diva loved it. She lifted her head up and neighed happily. "You look like a beautiful queen," Charlotte said chuckling a little. It seemed as though the two of them had strange bond even though they didn't really know each other. Of course I look like a queen Diva thought. Charlotte reached into her pocket and grabbed three sugar cubes Diva's favorite treat. Diva gladly ate them from the palm of her hand as Charlotte pet her on the neck. Charlotte then untied Diva and led her back to her new stall. "Now you better behave," Charlotte said firmly.
Diva walked into her stall after Charlotte unattached the lead rope and shut the stall door.
