#232100 Posted on 2020-12-25 14:46:42 Luckily our Christmas' are very very very quiet anyway with just 4 of us so this year it was just the same for our house but I know plenty of people who have been affected this year unfortunately as they usually have large household gatherings which they couldn't do of course so I feel for anyone unable to do their usual thing. Hope everyone enjoyed their celebrations or just a quiet day at home. ♥ I found one of the perks of living alone (of which, in my opinion, is many) is being able to quarantine in order to spend Christmas with my 95 year old grandmother. She has 24/7 caregivers but they were off so I went over and cooked her one of our traditional holiday meals and spent some time with her. #232140 Posted on 2020-12-25 23:17:39 Merry Christmas all! I surprised my kids and husband with an overnight stay at The Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells on the 23rd. We got home later afternoon on the 24th(after a quick stop to blanket and de-worm horses on the way home) and I started cooking like a mad woman as my mom, sisters, and two oldest boys' dad was to be there a couple hours later for dinner. We all opened gifts and talked and spent time together. It was great. Unfortunately by 9pm I was totally pooped out and went to bed instead of going to the Candlelight service at our Church. Now, I am at work, picked up a 9 hour awake shift tonight since kids are with their dad and hubby is off of work so I don't have to worry about being home for the dogs. I hope that everyone had a lovely Holiday, sorry to those who cannot do their usual celebrations. :( 1 members like this post.
