Unique character names wanted

#227505 Posted on 2020-09-08 09:28:55

Hi! :) Tall Oak went on a bit of a character spree and she got these stunning custom characters made by the amazing Voodoo and now these characters need a name ♥ For now there are 5 that need names and there are 2 more that aren't done yet and those 2 will also need names. I will edit the post and add the images of the other 2 horses once those are done.

Names that I chose will be given 100k and some art but until then... happy naming (:

1.
The obvious ones: Luna*, Lunar, Lumen, Luminescence
Luna Luminescence
Nightglow Eternity or Moonglow Eternity
Moonlit Effulgence
Of Moonlit Night
Swiftly Aglow
Fleet of the Night
If you’d like to go the mythological route:
Selene - Greek moon goddess/personification*
Nyx - Greek primordial goddess of night (Nox is the Roman equivalent)
Khonsu - Egyptian moon god
Oxomoco - Aztec goddess of the night
Meztli - Aztec moon goddess
Tsukuyomi - Japanese moon god
* Luna is commonly known as a word for the moon and is also a popular Harry Potter character but the name actually comes from being the Roman equivalent of the Greek goddess Selene. (I figured I’d add that just in case you weren’t aware in case that affects your thoughts.)
Selena’s Radiance
Nyx’s Flight
Luna Nox
Meztli’s Light
Tsukuyomi in Eternity

2.
Mountain Prance
Vintage Prominence
Homespun Wilds
Rustic Grove
Hinterland Fields/Highland Fields/Lowland Fields
Highlander (if you get that unintentional reference, virtual cookie for you.)
If you’d like to go the mythological route:
Medeina - Lithuanian goddess of forests, trees and animals
Artio - Celtic bear goddess of the wilderness
Oxylus - Greek god of forests and mountains
Pan - Greek god of Shepard’s, flicks, mountain wilds and rustic music
Skadi - Norse goddess of mountains, skiing, winter, archery and hunting
Ullr - Norse god of hunting, archery, skiing and mountains
Porewit - Slavic god of the woods, who protected lost voyagers and punished those who mistreated the forest
The Prance of Pan
Porewit’s Guidance
Prominence of Artio

As I’m posting this on my phone, I’ll be breaking up the post in parts bc it’s being difficult through a mobile device.

3.
Not sure if the flowers are suppose to be sunflowers or if it just looks like that to me but I decided to go with the sunflower route.
Sunflower Fields
Sunflower Grove
Indulgent Delight
Of Love and Faith (actual symbolism of a sunflower)
Of Warmth and Light (common symbolism regarding a sunflower)
Spring Yonder or Summer Yonder
Touch of Spring or Touch of Summer
Pondering Pastel
If you’d like to go the mythological route:
Chloris (Greek)/Flora (Roman) - goddess of flowers
Persephone - Greek goddess of springtime/spring growth
Anthousai - Greek flower nymphs (nature spirits of a sort)
Ēostre - Germanic goddess of spring*
Flora’s Love
Anthousai Wonder
Light of Ēostre
* The celebrations to Ēostre died off along with much of the paganism in the area and were replaced by Christian Paschal, which (at least from where I’m from) tends to be know more as Easter. Pastel colors are very prominent with Easter which is why this goddess caught my attention; regardless of the religious aspect it has an interesting correlation to the horse’s colors.

4.
All that comes to me with this horse is fractals, so that’s what I’m going to go with.
Infinite Fractal
Star Prism
Celestial Prism
Celestial Pattern
Touch of Infinity
If you’d like to go the mythological route, the following are some creation deities:
Aditi - Hindu goddess/celestial mother of the gods
Tzacol - Mayan sky god and creator deity
Aduti’s Dimensions

Honestly, I couldn’t come up with much on this one. :/

5.
Starry Night - both obvious but also in reference to Van Gogh’s famous painting.
Starlit Mist
Stardust
Sky of Stars
Again, if you’d like to go mythological:
Marici - Buddhist goddess of the heavens
Uranus (Greek)/Caelus (Roman) - personification of the sky
Tianquiztli - Aztec star goddesses (associated with the Pleiades)
Citlalincue - Aztec goddess of the Milky Way
Citlaltonac - Aztec god of male stars
Citlalmina - Aztec goddess of female stars
Sky of Citlaltonac/Sky of Cutlalmina
Citlalincue’s Path
Night of Caelus

Sorry for the multiple posts (not sure if it made it easier to read or more annoying) but the my phone and this site were just not behaving well together.

1. Crescent, Jacy (Native American for moon), Migina (Native American for returning moon)

2. Bluegrass (the markings make me think of Bluegrass music for some reason, lol), Aquene (Native American for peace), Odina (Native American for mountain)

3. Summer's Morn, Istu (Native American for sugar), Leotie (Native American for flower of the prairie), Lomasi (Native American for pretty flower)

4. Kaleidoscope, Namid (Native American for star dancing), Wichahpi (Native American for star)

5. Night's Kiss, Aranck (Native American for stars),Koko (Native American for night)

I put the names by which i thought they'd suit best, but feel free to put them to others if you like them better for a different charrie then the one i put it. Beautiful charries by the way, they're gorgeous!
