He laughed mirthlessly. You know what? They want an icebreaker, so have this. "Not when your sister has leukemia, you have no parents, can't get a job, and have to pay not only for food, clothes, heat, gas, water, and electric, but also for all the medical bills. By yourself." His hand had plunged into his cloak pocket, fingering the clay creation on the chain Rosie had made him. 

Shane
"Wow, shocker. You're a lot like me, good job," Shane growled.

Marina 
Mari watched the exchange, getting increasingly more frustrated, but trying not to explode.

Quincy
"I'm nothing like you," Quinn replied, voice low, the tone filled with restrained anger. His phone buzzed and he pulled it out. Rosie had responded to his question about dinner and he sent a thumbs up back. She wanted pizza from her favorite restaurant. He would stop by it on the way back to the house. 

Shane
"Cool," Shane mumbled back, averting his eyes and looking at his backpack.

Outlaw 
She watched calmly. She had seen this stuff many a time. It was just the same old same ol. Also, if she was correct and Shane was Auberon and Kahlen’s son, it stood to reason he had a short temper. 

Marina 
These are not your brothers, Mari. Please don't get angry with them. It won't end well.

Quincy
He put his phone away and looked around the room. His fingers released the chain back into the pocket and he folded his arms again. Someone else's turn.

Outlaw 
She figured she might as well go. Get it over with. “Outlaw. Gunslinger” she said in her low tone. 

Shane
Shane looked at Outlaw slightly, then looked back at his backpack. "I'm Shane, and... I speak French..."

Quincy
He glanced at Outlaw, quietly studying her. Gunslinger, eh? That was a term he hadn't heard in a little while. Quinn turned his attention to the clock a moment, almost missing Shane's introduction from getting lost in thought. 

Marina 
Mari nodded thoughtfully. "So... Shane's from New York, speaks French, likes brownies but is allergic to chocolate slightly and his mom is a twin, Quinn says he's a theif and hasn't had a brownie in over a decade," and his sister has leukemia, "Outlaw is a gunslinger and didn't say anything about brownies, and I know about myself. Great!"

"Dang girl, keep your mouth to yourself," Shane mumbled. How'd she remember all that anyway? "Stop it."

She listened to the girl. Good grief. How one person could talk so much was beyond her.

"It's actually spelled t-h-i-e-f. I can practically hear the misspelling."
