I'm not entirely sure that they do anything, to be honest. The horses who have the most points earned are displayed in the Hall of Fame but I think that's about it.

Heard somewhere that they're from way back before stats were introduced, the original stat if you will. Not 100% on that but it's the best I've got. I don't think they actually do anything at this point.
