Well, I wasn't talking about those kinds of books specifically. "There are a couple antique stores around. I've seen some books like that in there while I was looking for old books from the genre I prefer." 

Skye 
"Was it, by chance, the mystery genre?" Skye asked teasingly. "Personally, I read anything that's handy, which results in, well, interesting-" not exactly common knowledge- "findings."

Ashwin
He blinked. "Actually, yeah, I usually read mystery. I have a library of them at my house. I like to check antique stores for some rarer books in the genre. There are two specific books that I'd love to add to my collection, but I believe they're some of the rarest known mystery books. Sometimes there are good finds in the antique stores around here, but usually nothing too rare."

Skye
Skye had to laugh, at least a little. "I knew it! On a different note, where exactly are these antique stores?"

Ashwin
He thought a moment. He could point some out to her from where they were, or tell her the streets, or even get out his holographic display (though he was pretty sure he had left it at home). He ended up choosing a different option, however, though he wasn't sure how it'd go. "I could take you to a couple of them? Not tonight, obviously, since they're closed."

Skye 
"Sure," Skye replied, then, after a second, added, "I'd like that." It took her another moment to realize that she had actually said that, and the thought was mildly terrifying.

Ashwin
He nodded, looking out over the city again to drink in the sight of the lights. After a couple minutes, he spoke. "Should we head back...?" He wasn't sure what he was even going to do back at his house, but he really didn't know what he was doing in the first place.

Skye 
"Sure." Skye carefully  descended the stairs, careful of the one step that often gave out when you put weight on it.

Ashwin
He paused at the top of the stairs to cast one last look at the lights. Then Ash descended down the fire escape after Skye. Upon joining her at the bottom, he started for his house. "What do you do for a living? You haven't really said where you work." 

Skye 
Don't answer that. Don't do it. Skye sighed mentally. But I have to give him an answer. "Depends," she finally said. "I'm all over, depending on the time of day."

Ashwin
"Okay," Ash replied thoughtfully. Self-employed? Does she not have a job right now? He glanced up at a light as he passed underneath it. From down here you never would suspect that the city looked so stunning from above. 

Skye 
'What are you, Skye? Self employed, jobless, a rebel?' Well, Ash, I can assure you as of a few hours ago I have a very solid position in a rebel uprising. Skye waited for him to say more, also hoping he didn't ask any questions that she couldn't vaguely answer. Hinting at her self-appointed mission was one thing, but outright telling someone? Absolutely not.

He arrived at the door to his house, putting in the pass code for his new security system. The number pad was more than just a series of numbers to press in the right order, however. It also scanned fingerprints, and if somebody who's prints were not permitted or unrecognized by the system tried to put in the pin, it would always be incorrect, even if they did the right combination. The number pad itself, however, looked quite simple, in no way hinting to the technology inside it. The correct numbers punched in caused the lock to click, and Ash opened the door. He didn't step in immediately, holding the door open for Skye to enter.

Skye stepped inside, unsure what to do next.

He closed the door as he stepped inside, shrugging out of his jacket and hanging it up. "You can use the coat hooks if you're too warm in your jacket." Ash scanned the house for a moment, thinking, then headed for the sitting room. "What kind of music do you like?"
