I'm really torn on this one guys. In the old EV I never showed my horses... I always made just enough to keep everyone cared for and healthy and mostly just aimed for better stats and colors. But now I'm wondering if my not showing will hurt my herd and my breeding any? I'm not 100% sure I want to keep breeding for stats since I can't see them on past generations anymore but I do kinda like seeing the higher levels of my foals and stuff.

I'm fairly certain that showing is the main way to increase player points - and therefore levels.

If you don't show you won't be able to lvl up and your horses will not have the same opportunities to get stats that other horses have.

I never really sold or studded out anybody so most of my money came in via just careful planning/hording every coin I could find. But I also don't want to not be able to move through the levels :/ I guess showing is a lot more important in this game.

Kittie, in the "old" EV, I used the exact same method as you, and bred solely for stats and color.

I'm thinking it does, showing gives stats, and giving treats gives stats etc I think breeding mostly raises conformation based on parents stat for foal..not positive. But I show everyday and give treats.

I've been showing off and on... I have to show a few days and then taking a rest day so I can earn the money back. Since I'm not making enough to cover up show fees from the shows I have to take sporadic breaks. Seems to be working well enough though. I've finally gotten out of the red.

honestly with shows my horses within two weeks with normal treats for their discipline (carrots and yellow apples) have gained almost 50-100 stats with showing. so i would not forgo it, seems like you have a good system to not lose profit but for me i almost always make my show fees back plus more. showing will be fixed and the training center will come back eventually ;)
