This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Western Outback Stables, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

Registuring List only list Club Breed

(Bare with me, it has turned into a story)

So today I went to register a couple of horses, as you know, when you go to register a horse to a club. You have to click on 'Registered Horses' and then scroll down to 'Register a Horse'.

I went to do this and then clicked on the list and here it shows every horse I have not registered in this club, even breeds that can not be registered. So there I go down the list to where the right breed is and register a few horses. BUT, because there are so many horses that are not needed on that list, I registered horses that didn't belong in that club. So, I had to cancel the application and lost 250 EVD for every application I canceled. I believe I shouldn't have to worry about registering the wrong horse in a club, because those breeds that don't belong there shouldn't appear on the list.

Now for my suggestion, I think that when you go to register a horse. That the horses that are not the right breed for the type of club you go to register a horse at should not appear on the list.
e.g If I went to a Gypsy Vanner club and go to register Gypsy Vanners, I shouldn't have my other breeds, Shetland ponies and Akhal-Teke's showing on the list because they shouldn't be able to be registered in the first place.

So if you agree please support and if you disagree, please explain why as I would love to hear your reasons.

I agree with this.

The reason that was stated as for why this isn't already the case is that Abbey wanted to leave it up to club owners/members whether the club would accept horses of other related breeds (accepting QHs into the appy registry, or Arabs into the TB registry etc.)

Personally, I strongly feel that the clubs should *only* be for their specific breed. Otherwise, there's not much point, y'know? Especially with the stud and sales books, I'd find it extremely annoying to go there looking for my breed, and have to wade through other breeds. If crossbreeding were a thing, it might be different, but as it's not and is unlikely to be added any time in the future, it seems unnecessary.

As it is, all the clubs I've belonged to have only accepted registration for horses of the same breed, so that seems to be a relatively agreed-upon standard in the game.

So all of that said, that's at least part of why the list isn't narrowed down. But it would be SO MUCH easier if it were!

A potential compromise, if Abbey still doesn't want to limit the registries, could be to give the matching breed "priority" of sorts in the lists, so all GVs would show up at the top of your list when you're in the GV club, and all minis would show up at the top when registering with the mini club, etc. (Kind of like how in the tack workshop, equipped tack shows up at the top of the list to upgrade.)
This might be a giant pain to code, since it'd be different for each club, but I imagine it would be doable.

Meant to bring this up myself for a while now but yes. Sorting by priority breed would be better than only the certain breeds if we have to compromise.

We have clubs for all the breeds, there's absolutely no reason to accept other breeds.

Thanks guys.

I don't understand how club owners will accept breeds that don't belong because... There is a club for every breed. Either way, searching through the breeds just so I can put the right breed in is frustrating. But not only that, even horses already in a club show up on the list only because they are not in the club you are looking at.

Oh well, if the other breeds were taken from the list because they don't belong might be really useful... And save me from losing 250 EVD for mistakes. XD

Thanks again for the support.

Just FYI Horses are currently listed by ID number in the dropdown, great for people with foundation herds bought all at once since they hang together, not so great for people with a lot of outside bred horses or random groupings ;]

But I'd love Priority sorting if nothing else.

Pleaaase do this... I have some few mustangs that are just DROWNING in my tennessee walker ocean, for example, there is no real sense in seeing every breed you own when trying to go through and register horses in a club for their specific breed.

I always get such a headache whenever I try to register my own horses and it always kills my eyes. The horse's breeds run together and I can NEVER find any of the right breed for that club. *groans*
