Clydesdale Foals?

#36846 Posted on 2016-05-07 11:54:04

I've been looking through recently born Clydesdale foals and all of them seem to be lacking leg markings of any kind. I'm wondering if anyone has a clyde foal that was born with leg markings? I'm just checking to see if this is actually a thing (missing leg markings) or if I'm just crazy. thanks for any help. (PS only interested in foals that were born on this version of the game, not on the old game).

Thought I'd add that I'm not talking about store foals; but ones that were bred from two existing clydes.

c.sq End of Daze
a little one, haha.

It is curious though, I never noticed before but none of the other 7 foals I've bred have leg markings, despite both their parents being heavily marked. Good catch.

So this reminded me that I noticed something about the leg markings on my Arabian foals since the recode. I just went back and checked, and it turns out that out of 20 to 30 foals born since the recode, only 2 have leg markings of any sort. That seems off.

I also breed Appaloosas, but since so many of them are already white I can't tally their white markings. I've not had enough other foals born of any other breed to check them either.

But two breeds does seem a bit weird!

0/6 of my Quarter horse's foals have leg markings
Interesting....

(One looks like it does but it has sabino sb+ and it's part of the marking)

I wonder if that is something,
good catch!

Maybe abbey changed the frequency with which markings are given to a foal?

I know that most of my QH foals seem to be getting a decent number of leg markings (or they were when I was actively breeding them).

I've got about 10 QH babies due in a few days, if I remember I'll pop back on and mention how many of mine have markings.

Checked my two week old clyde foals... none have leg markings O.o
Only my store bought foals have them.

Out of 5 clyde foals that were bred a while ago and have been locked since then, only 1 does not have leg markings.

from what I understand of genetics, the odds of getting no leg markings is equally as high as getting any other combo of leg markings. That's clearly not happening - at least in my Arabians. I'd posit that there might be an issue with the randomization of leg markings that's resulting in an overall lack of leg markings for some breeds.
