What Breed Is Worth The Most On EV?

#29662 Posted on 2016-04-11 16:17:10

I am looking for the most popular breed of horse that I know I can make a profit off and get back into the top rankings (I was at one point). So If anyone can give me any tips on what breed to start on that will be great! I wanted to start breeding Clydesdale's and TWH but I put more money on them then what I'm getting back *sigh* but if there is any good Clydesdale's and TWH breeders/breeding groups that would take me in that would be even better! 🐴

All the breeds have official clubs (through the clubhouse in the town section.) I have no idea about Clydesdales, but TWHs aren't terribly active right now; there's currently no president for the club, so no one can use the registration book or anything. :/

I'm not sure there's really a breed that's worth more than others, per se, more just ones with an active market. Sometimes you have to wait quite a while for someone to be in the market to purchase what you're selling.

Vanners are pretty active right now, and people are actively seeking the new colors and patterns. It seems like Andalusians might be fairly active as well, though that isn't my breed. I see a lot of people working with minis, but the prices seem to be low. Quarter horses always seem to have a pretty good number of people interested as well, though again, not a breed that I have personal experience with.

When I'm selling very high-statted horses, I usually don't have too much trouble selling them, though it can take a few days. But those are horses that have been bred for stats for many generations, so it would still take quite some time to build up lines to produce stats like that.

If you luck out and get some rare new colors out of the store, a lot of people will pay very well for flashy foundation horses, but as it's random luck, it's hard to turn that into a real profit.
