On Creating Shows

I know I can see how many shows are already made per discipline, and that is a fantastic thing.

What I would like to also know though, is, what shows people are needing on a daily basis.

I make my shows every day, right after CROM runs, and I don't make shows in my own disciplines (jumping and driving).

Is there some sort of ...IDK, thread with a poll, where the OP can be edited everyday for the next days show? Maybe maintained by a mod, to ensure it gets done? That way active players can tell everyone what shows are needed most? Maybe have it exclude N and L as those are usually alright.

I know that the option to blanket a show lvl or discipline is an option, but with fewer over all higher lvl shows being made paired with fewer higher lvl horses, that may still miss the mark.

I'm not sure how practical a daily thread for the numbers would be, but I'd certainly love having some way to know what's needed. You could, theoretically, search the game based on discipline and stats to get an idea of how many horses there are that would compete in each type of show, but that's no guarantee that they're actively showing.

It's miles better than it was, and I can usually make a reasonable assessment of how many shows are needed (more in the N and L levels, a medium number in the lower R grades, fairly few in the upper R and higher.) But there are still days I run out of shows, though it's rare, and days where some grades have far far more shows than get used.

The reason why I was thinking about a stickied thread or some similar feature is exactly what you said. You can search for numbers by grade, but that doesn't really tell you what you want to know.

Players who are active and who care would be happy to indicate exactly what is needed. If they don't they must not be overly concerned about it. I bet it would catch on though

I had thought about that, was thinking maybe have a number of horses in that category next to the number of shows created, OR have it calculate number of horses divided by 250 to get minimum number of shows needed (if every horse shows). Perhaps easier than maintaining a daily thread...
