sorry for bringing up an old thread but, what if there was a sort of experience point/leveling system to shows but not like the points system we have now? current points just indicate how much a horse has been shown in their life, but these points could actually be something that strengthens your horse and that you need to work towards. like the more a horse has competed already, the better chance they have at placing in their next shows?
it would encourage people to show even when there's no chance of placing or gaining stats since you're still increasing the horse's chances at performing better next time. horses that have been super unlucky with placements would have a better chance at breaking that losing streak and start winning. stat monsters would have to work their way up to be contenders as opposed to immediately wiping out the competition as soon as they turn 3. and it could take some pressure off of needing low NSS all the time. plus overall, this can make the showing system feel more realistic since in real life, a horse competing for the very first time might not end up with the same results as a horse who's competed for years.
one problem i see with this is making things more complicated again, it similar to how the training levels work already. i think it could be combined with training levels or the points system though, like maybe both training and showing your horse will level them up and/or points can be converted into the training level whenever your horse earns them. or they could just be two different systems. both training and experience are things you would consider when competing with a horse in real life anyway.

I like that point-system idea! I think it really would help with 10k+ stat horses, there's really no chance at beating them D:(Though I do own a few, I don't really show them anymore)
