Tuning in a pumpkin

So what is supposed to happen after turning in a pumpkin, because I didn't get anything in return and I don't have another one to try again ?

You need to find the right pumpkin to hand in to the Headless Horseman (you can hand in up to 4 before you know what to look for). You don't get any rewards for pumpkins until after you find the right one.

In the leisure riding, how often does the event that lets you carve a pumpkin occur? I've only seen it once since the event started.

Does it mean that each time I should try a different type because it wouldn't make sense to try 4 times the same type and hope for a different result ? 
Does it also mean that each player has a different "preferred" type of pumpkin which is accepted for turning in ?

But the purpose of my original question was to find out what is given in return for turning in a pumpkin ? Is it one specific item or different things ?
I'm curious 'cause I don't really have much time to play the game these days so hardly any chance to be able to discover for myself 

I looked at the item catalog yesterday, and it looks like there is a pumpkin called Horseman's Head. I'm guessing that is the pumpkin you need?

You only need to turn in 4 pumpkins before you can find the one he wants in Leisure Riding, it doesn't matter which ones they are for the first part. Once you have found and handed in the pumpkin he wants, you can turn in extra pumpkins for a reward. Even if you don't have a lot of time to play you will still be able to complete the event. It would be unfair to other people to spoil details. ^^ 

Finding the pumpkin event is random. You can keep them as collectables or give them to the horseman.
