not sure if bug or cap so figured id post it incase......

Ive noticed when caring for horses if I collect snowballs and I get to 10 snowballs collected it wont find anymore until I throw some of the 10 I have collected waiting until I finish my game chores.

Once I throw one it will generally find another within a few clicks or so which is why I am posting but it continually caps at 10 snowballs.

Abbey mentioned that there is a cap at 10 snowballs on the discord server. Just throw the snowballs and you'll find more :)
