sold all my quarter horses just before the recode( Im Dreamfinder) cuz i didnt think I liked the breed art..now Im kicking myself for doing so...uggg starting over again

-What are your thoughts on the new conformation? Love it, hate it, just going to ignore it? its ok, easier to breed into the lines i think...nice to breed a well rounded horse with good stats/confo

Welcome Dreamfinder! Glad that you're getting back into QHs. I'd be happy to offer you as many free breedings from those QHs you sold me before the recode (just let me know when/if you want them). ;)

ummm do they still have the same names?? Where can I find them? Will go have a boo..I know you grabbed a bunch...just dont remember which ones..lolz...would love a couple foals if I could get them. Will glad pay for them :o)

I like it! I kinda hope someone can figure out the formula behind it because I want to know how it works and how to breed for it. Although with all those numbers it DOES look a little overwhelming to me. Which is why I'm a bit on the fence about it.

Why do you like breeding QHs?
I wanted a colorful western breed for my program and I loved the art for QHs more than paints or appies. Plus I used to ride QHs all the time so really the breed is near and dear to me. Plus patterns!

I've not decided yet where to go with my Quarter Horse line 2.0 either. The ones I imported over I' going to continue breeding like I did on the old EV, but the new line I still need to make some decisions about.

Thanks Aglet! I really liked her coloring and everything. I've never been a super competitive person... I really honestly just love pretty ponies. But I also wanted my horses to be "worth" something :p Soooo I don't know. I'll come up with some plan for them and the Walkers soon enough!

Those have not changed - just broadened to include showing. But goals are the same:
1) High stats first and fore-most
2) breed for rarer color dilutions, creams and for patterning (though less on the patterning now since I like the roan breed art XD)
3) Clean pedigrees free of any line breeding or inbreeding at minimum on the first page (1st 4 generations)

Nooooo way. My very first horse I owned when I joined in October 2013 was a QH palomino sabino mare... terrible stats, I think reaching 200 at retirement? haha I thought back then that she was one of the most incredible horses on EV :D

I used to breed for conformation, aiming for 6 perfects. I grew tired of this, since there used to be some degree of randomness (at least it seemed that way to me after working at it for a full year), plus my stats were taking a hit, as were my horses' pedigrees, due to less pairing combinations in attempts to boost conformation in foals. NOW... I'm not entirely sure about the conformation system, but it seems to be a lot more heritable, so I might be interested in it when I start playing around with it again :3

-Why do you like breeding QHs?
They were my first breed, and the one breed I stuck with (besides TWHs) the entire lifespan I spent on EV. Way too much sentimental value tied into my horses, way too much EVC, EVD, time and effort went into them to get my herd to where it's at. I take immense pride in my QHs, and would never part with them. The reason I was hooked on them from the get-go was because of the breed art and the color and pattern combinations, and the fact that they were a popular EV breed.

SCORING THE QH YOU LINKED:
-Color: 10 - ivory gold champagne. Can't beat that with the current colors on this new breed art
-Patterns 10
-Conformation 5 (really hard to give this a score, as this is a foundation horse and so the conformation starts out quite neutral by default)
-Stats 10... again, foundation horse, but stats appear to be on target with the age and new stat gaining system implemented in this game
-Other? nice store horse!
-Overall 10/10. The perfect store horse.

I don't actually HAVE any QH's as of yet. I was waiting to sell and/or for my Welsh ponies to be done before I add any other horses to my account of ever growing breeds....haha I'm stuck between deciding of 32 or 64 horses (lol)

Love it, going to try my hand at turning my other wise poorly conform horses into nice ones as I breed.
