*New game: daily quiz

Just an idea for a relatively simple game to add to the Games Tent: a single question quiz that's Equiverse themed.

The game would give you a random question with multiple-choice answers, which would ask you about some aspect of game-play on equiverse, e.g. "how many shows can a horse enter each day" or "what basic treat increases intelligence". Simple things that an experienced player would mostly know, and an inexperienced one could probably look up without too much trouble.

If you get it right you get a prize of money and/or items and/or player experience. Perhaps you could pick from several possible prizes so you can choose what you need most? If you get it wrong it tells you what the correct answer was. Limited plays per day. Maybe one per day? Or three? (so long as the question changed each time)

Not only would this be a fun daily game with a good prize, but it would also help familiarise players (especially new players) with the game, and make it easier to learn about the game. By offering a decent prize it would also give a good incentive for new players (who typically don't have much money) to play, and therefore learn about the game quicker. I'm thinking something along the lines of $5,000 to $10,000 and 1000 experience? That would be roughly in line with what the other games offer.

That's a good idea, it would be much easier for new players since the tutorial is not very good. I support your idea ^^ 

The biggest issue with a tutorial (good or otherwise) is that you can only do it once. People aren't going to remember everything, or they'll forget things over time, or there's a bunch of extra stuff which you'd pick up while playing the game but which isn't necessarily appropriate for a tutorial, so this is just an easy and fun means of learning these extra details without posting a ton of questions on the forums.

Love the idea! But it might be kind of hard to come up with that many questions for the active players that log in/play every day (though I still click on 10 apples every day as well hahaha)

I think this is a great idea. I'm certain we could get a good number of questions if Abbey asked the playerbase to come up with a bunch and then chose the ones she liked to be put in the game.

It would be kind of cool to have horse questions in general as well (along with game questions) to keep things interesting for those who know the game pretty well.

I agree with Cheshire. Adding in general horse questions could also help with the possible problem of not having enough questions.

Having some general horse questions in there as well could work, but I think they should mostly be things you could still find out in game, e.g. "which of the following colours is not found in Friesians?" or "what type of bridle can have a double rein?" I don't think a shortage of questions is going to be a problem. I think if we sat down and brainstormed some ideas we'd end up with quite a lot.

I love this idea, especially with general horse questions added too!

Just now seeing this. I'm in full support. It'd be great to have game/forum/general rules as questions too. It'd be a good way to refresh players' memories about the rules and help the new people learn them more easily.

Another game we could do is a genetic guessing game, let me explain:

A random mare and stallion(who are gene tested already) are chosen each day, and their genes are listed under a link to them(or image, it was just too long for me to do here). Then players get to type in a possible gene combo from the horses that the hypothetical foal could be. Players could submit a certain amount of combos each day, and every player sees the same horses. Say 10-20 guesses each day since there are a ton of variables. and for each full combination, you give you get 500 EVD(just a random number here, could be anything that's more fitting). So it'd be like this(I used the statistics page to get random horses)
