My First foundation horses are going to hit year 22 and pass. I have learned a lot from my first horses and hope to get their foals much higher in their stats then their parents.

even though they're just code and pixels, it's always sad to say goodbye to your first horses!
the good thing is that you'll always have their descendants :)

So true, my 2nd favorite horse is 21 ages in 4 days, I'll miss her. She gave my herd a boost of stats for future generations with her 2 going on 3 foals, though, and they'll be old enough to show soon, she'll be alive still when her 1st foal reaches 3.

You could always make a division and lock it with them in it. That way they would be perpetual!

But when I lock my retired horses so that they never die, then A. I can't get another horse because of the horse limit, and B. It's just as bad as having them be dead, because I can't do anything but look at them, same as when they're dead.

Lost two of my first babies today...... I know they aren't actual horses but when you care for them every day and watch them grow and work on them every day they become real for just a little while.

Can sort of understand how you feel. Though my starter is on my second account (about 11 y/o now) and she's skipping quite some days when I don't get to that account.
I'm only hanging on to her because she's my starter. For all my breeding programs (high-confo, high-confo-foundies etc.) she doesn't really fit in.

I am kind of said that my totally awesome high confo mare is 19 already. I want to breed a few more foals out of her!!
