What to breed next?

#96378 Posted on 2017-03-05 08:22:12

Hello all, I'm looking for some suggestions.
I'm debating starting a small breeding project with another breed (I mainly focus on QHs) and I'm curious to get some input. I'm going between Friesians, Lipizzaners, and Morgans, since I'd like to work with a breed that isn't too common. I'd be interested in breeding for stats, confo, and color (only reason why I'm not wanting Friesians).
Could anyone give me some tips on what I should choose, or even pros/cons to each breed? Anything would be helpful. :)

Friesians!!!!! I have an auction going on with a pair that could possibly throw a chestnut baby. ;)

Or I do have a few Morgans for sale with decent stats in my Sale's division. :)

Morgans have the most colors, so personally I would chose them :)

@ Feathered Gold- Thank you! I must check them out :)

@ Raptorfang- I've been looking at the variety of colors with Morgans, so I'm strongly considering them!

I'm sure Chincos could use more breeders, but Morgans definitely need some love. Not many people focus on them at all.

Lipizzaners! Because they're pretty and we need more breeders. ^^,

Con: Most of them are grey...

I'm actually thinking about Chincos too at the mention of it, they really seem to need some love!
