Way do people lock there Division?

At the bottom right of your division is a button saying "Lock Division". Click that to lock that division and okay to the message that pops up asking if you're sure about locking your division.

I'm not sure if you're asking how or why. If how, aello answered that. If why, then read on.
Multiple reasons. If they are going out of town, need some horses to get the same age as the rest, planning on selling those horses, ect.
